Absolutely gorgeous property!

I have just returned from a three night stay with my friend to celebrate her 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time in and around Totnes, made even better by this lovely little cottage. When John (the owner) showed us around, we were frankly astonished at how much lovelier it is than the pictures are able to show. The cottage is equipped with everything you could ever want or need. The beds were super comfortable which is very important to us and the shower excellent. The novel design of having the living area with kitchen is genius and you can see why as soon as you go in. The outstanding thing however is the position - the views are simply stunning, the gardens which we could use at our leisure are gorgeous. I can't really find enough superlatives to describe it any more! John was very helpful and has clearly gone to great lengths to make this a beautiful holiday home. I can't wait to return with my husband if they will have us!

Two weeks of bliss

This property is idyllic. It lives up to the promise of the photos on the website. The "up-side down " design is brilliant. Having the living area upstairs ensures that you have a light bright kitchen and living room. Even if it is raining the expanse of windows makes you feel you are outside in the sun. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Our host was friendly and helpful. This really is a superb property.

Super Lage - gelungene Raumaufteilung - traumhafter Ausblick + Garten

Haben herrliche 2 Wochen hier verbracht und uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Booklet für die Gäste war hervorragend und sehr hilfreich wegen der vielen persönlichen Insider-Tipps zu Pubs, Ausflugszielen und Restaurant-Empfehlungen. Lots of thanks to John & Suzanna

Exzellentes, sehr gepflegtes und sauberes Cottage

Das Cottage liegt am Rande einer ruhigen Wohnsiedlung mit direktem Blick in die Natur - Richtung Dartmoor. Die Glasfront im Obergeschoss ist mit zwei Türen versehen, lädt zum Verweilen und Entspannen ein und lässt den Abend durch wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge ausklingen. Auch die Schafe auf der angrenzenden Weide waren eine gelungene Abwechslung zum Großstadtleben. Das Cottage ist hervorragend ausgestattet, alles sehr sauber, super modern und sehr gemütlich. Selbst der Kühlschrank für ein erstes Frühstück war gefüllt – besten Dank hierfür ;-) Die Räumlichkeiten sind wie auf den Abbildungen im Internet-Inserat identisch. Wir haben uns nach der netten Begrüßung von dem Gastgeber John sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch wenn dieser direkt auf dem Grundstück nebenan wohnt, haben wir uns in unserer Privatatmosphäre nicht gestört gefühlt. Der Pkw-Stellplatz ist direkt am Cottage. Gleich nach unserer Ankunft hat uns John ausführliche Tipps und Empfehlungen für Ausflugsziele, Wanderungen und Lokalitäten unterbreitet. Ausreichende weitere Informationen wurden vom Gastgeber zusammengestellt und in einer Broschüre zusammengefasst. Danke auch für die zur Verfügung gestellten Wander-/Straßenkarten, welche von uns rege genutzt wurden. Totnes ist eine wunderbare, belebte und gepflegte Altstadt mit sehr vielen kleinen Souvenirläden, Teestuben und Restaurants, welche zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichbar ist. Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar und ist uns 5 Sterne+ wert! Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen ;-) Danke lieber John für diesen schönen Urlaub!

Superb!

The property exceeded our expectations. Modern, light and airy with everything you need with the bonus of splendid views out to Dartmoor. The walk into Totnes town is easy taking only about 10 minutes to reach the old bridge over the River Dart (strategically sited convenience store on route). An interesting town to explore with a definite bohemian streak, with plenty and varied shops and eating opportunities. An excellent base for day trips in the surrounding area and on the river e.g. Dartmouth, Riverford Field Kitchen, Buckfastleigh, South Devon Railway (steam trains). Good bus routes and local walking. Welcoming and friendly, our host John gave us the benefit of his local knowledge. Most definitely on our return list.

Amazing views

What an amazing few days we had. The house is gorgeous, the grounds and views are amazing and the owners are lovely. The photos do not give it justice. My husband is not a man to sit around but he spent more time sitting in front of the living room window than anything else. The rooms are clean and well resourced. The beds were comfortable. Didn't use the log burning stove as we had lovely weather but it looks very easy to use. The house is within easy reach of a local shop and a very quick drive into Totnes. This could be walked. We took our mother-in-law to see the house and she has ranted about how wonderful it is ever since. Thank you for a lovely stay. When we come to Totnes again, we will stay again.

Lovely modern cottage, with stunning views

The cottage is fantastically located, within walking distance of Totnes. The modern design of the cottage, with the large open plan living room/kitchen and large front and rear windows, allowed full enjoyment of the stunning views. The cottage is really well equipped and very clean. I couldn't fault it. John, the owner, was warm and friendly and gave us some fab ideas to help us make the most of our brief visit. Although they live next door, it felt very private. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again myself.

Perfect

Excellent weekend house is stunning. Beautiful setting and stunning views. Clean and tidy John and his wife the owners seem to have thought of everything you need. Totnes is not a too bad walk away and recommend the waterfront bistro for meals out. Will definitely be staying again in this beautiful house. Leigh, Louise and Ava

Beautiful cottage with lovely views.

Very well equipped cottage in a lovely location. John the owner supplied us with a few breakfast items for us to enjoy. Nice touch and much appreciated. It was a perfect location for our family break and wish we had stayed longer.
