Loved the location of Coastal Breezes!! Large house with great layout
..one concern was the 4th BR it was located in an area off the kitchen and there was an outside door with only a latch so it didn’t feel very secure in that area. I love Jekyll and have always felt safe but times are changing so I hope they consider a more secure door. Loved the screened in patio and close walk to the beach. Super friendly neighbors!!!

Great stay

We had a fantastic family vacation in Jekyll and at this house. We can’t wait to make it back soon. The only down side to this trip was out of the owners hands, but the Jekyll island authority contacted us a few days prior to staying stating that the 2 boardwalks within close walking distance to the house were shut down for repairs. We did choose this house because of the 1 block proximity to the beach, so that was frustrating. However the easy access to the public beaches made up for it. We knew that this was “off season” but surprised they couldn’t have waited until further into the fall to make these repairs. Otherwise, the house was perfect!

Negatives (simple, not a big deal things, but good to know) tide pool about 3 ft deep at base of stairs all weekend (at low tide) so may be a recurring issue (other accesses very close by) minimal toilet paper and no hand soap provided, lights out in screened in porch so absolutely no lighting for back yard/grilling area. Other than these very minor issues- we had a perfect stay!

Best beds!

Couple downsides were things like, hand mixer but no beaters, very little cooking utensils--plenty of pans and pots but little to stir, vacuum didn't work so cleaning up pet fur was hard on checkout. Overall I would stay here again.

Kitchen supplies were dirty and thick dirt was around the edges of the walls and especially along sliding glass doors. Outside of property and grounds also needs cleaning. Very Disappointed with Coastal Breezes and Jekyll Island Realty

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have never had so many e-mails, credit checks etc from a property in my life. I have traveled all over the world, owned 4 time shares and 3 condominiums all on the beach- 1 in Destin, 1 in Panama City and one on Maui. I thought I was going to have to give a hair follicle and blood sample when I checked in. I have also never stayed anywhere in my life that did not provide linens, towels and basic amenities. The realty also told me I was one house from the ocean. That was a lie and no beach access in that street. Very disappointed and will not return.

The sun porch issue created a seriously safety hazard. Literally you could enter the property easily from the street. Completely unsettling.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely, older vacation home. I pored over all the available homes and chose very carefully. This home was even better than I expected. It would be nice if these rentals provided a little more (we are used to Meyer vacation units in Gulf Shores) like bedding, bathroom towels and kitchen towels and washer/dryer etc but that’s really small. And we did know ahead of time as it was in print. Some might think the property unclean because of the appearance of dirt in the corners. That’s just age. Sure, new floors would be nice but think about it like it was your property. I definitely would suggest some tree/bush trimming in the ones in the front yard especially by the driveway entrance. The entrance is a little hard to see through for driving in and out.
