It is always so easy dealing with Tammy and the other Mermaids. This was our first stay in Pura Vida and we could not have been happier. Close enough to walk to the beach, and on a quiet street which allows for enjoyment on the comfortable screened in porch. We enjoyed the lovely decor and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. I would never hesitate to recommend this cottage to future visitors.

This home has everything a person could want; 2 full bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a large screened in porch. My guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and easy access to the beach as much as I did.This is the fourth year that I have stayed in a Mermaid Cottage, but not my last. Once again, Mermaid Tammy and company took care of every detail before and during my trip, making it feel like home! The consistency in superior customer service sets Mermaid Cottages apart from other rental property businesses.

First time on the island, the house is exactly as described. It’s a cozy cottage two bedrooms, nice living room room nice screened in front porch and a fenced in yard for your dogs.

Easy to walk to beach as well as restaurants and coffee! Unfortunately we had some very loud parties next door, so the night time was super relaxing but the morning on the porch was great! But that happens and it was no fault of mermaid Cottages! My only suggestion is to put things like shampoo and conditioner and soap in the shower. Maybe the containers that attach to the wall so none walks off with it â˜ș otherwise, excellent!

Both times we had an exceptional experience with both the cottage itself - very clean, great appliances, comfy bed, beautiful screened in front porch - and Mermaid Cottages staff. Communication was excellent from the moment we reserved the unit, during our stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and even after we checked out. We are looking forward to renting Pura Vida again next year!

Adorable little house

Amazing!! Two weeks before my family’s weeeknd away, I received a personal phone call from Tammy making sure I was all sent for my upcoming rental. I had never had such a great experience. Will continue to rent with them.

It was so clean, several new appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher) and just the overall feeling that this house has been well cared for between our visits from 2023 to 2024.The location in mid-island is perfect for us, just a two block walk to 12th or 13th street piers, a block away from the IGA and a nice stroll to all the happenings on the Strand. Tami is a top notch management rep, always available by phone with help or advice to all things Tybee. The snow flies today and it is cold in Ohio...can't wait to get back to Pura Vida!

Adore the Pura Vida

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In Spanish, Pura Vida means “pure life.” This cottage truly lives up to its name. Prior to booking, we viewed 2 different sets of photos on the Mermaid's website. The video shows different decor than the pictures. The cottage had been redecorated and they could not have done a better job. We had stayed at another Mermaid property (Men's Mess Hall) before deciding to switch it up & are so grateful we did. We loved the screened porch & spent the majority of our time there, when not at the beach. The outdoor furniture is incredibly comfortable. The dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer & dryer are a huge plus. All electric appliances. Water takes awhile to get warm. Mermaid Cottages always deliver a wonderful vacation stay.
