Quite neighborhood. Enjoyable pool, and hot tubs. 15 minute walk to resort, not close to bus lines. Minor problem with living room ceiling fan, reported to rental office.
Had a great time staying here. Everything was easy from check in to check out. Clean and spacious. Really enjoyed the hot tubs after a long day of skiing!
The townhome had everything we needed for our stay. It is very nice and roomy and the pool is a short distance away. Good location, within walking distance of shops, food and the gondola for a trip up the mountain with beautiful sunset views.
Clean and good location about 1/2 mile from lifts. Located close to free town shuttle but Retreatia has shuttle service that will take/pick you up to town and lifts.
It was a great home. Well built with sturdy finishes. Would stay again. While you either need to take a shuttle, bus, or walk to the hills, none of them are difficult and in fact the rental company offers a free on-demand shuttle.
However, the check-in process is a bit of a pain. You need to actually check in at an off-site office to pick up your keys and such. It isn't clear that that is the case until you get final check-in instructions. It was also not stated that they have a shuttle you can then take to get tot he house from the offices.
Great house for a group of friends! Plenty of room for two couples, plus singles. The bunk bed room was a bit small for 3 adults, but we made it work. We had plenty of room in the garage to fit all of our skis and a car. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and the living room was spacious. The walk to the hot tubs was short and there was always plenty of room for everyone. The walk to the Steamboat public bus stop was very short in full ski gear and some of our group just walked straight to the slopes (~10 minute walk). The access to the free Retreatia shuttle van was amazing for going downtown at night! The only minor downside was that we had to go to the Retreatia office to pick up and return the keys. Overall, would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a great spot close to the slopes!
Six of us were very comfortable for 5 nights in this roomy home with king sized beds in two rooms and queen sized bunks in the third room. The walk in shower with double sinks and private toilet in the master was perfect for us. Our adult children and their partners used the other bathroom. A few more towels would be nice for use at the hot tub or local hot springs. The washer and dryer upstairs was helpful, a couple of laundry detergent pods for washing towels is suggested.
The downstairs kitchen and living area was open and well stocked with dishes, glassware and appliances, and a nice big dining table.
More seating in the living room is suggested so more of us could sit comfortably to watch tv or the fire while we visited together. One couch for 3 and 1 leather chair and one rocking chair leaves the rest to sit at the table, the counter or the floor. Adding a loveseat would solve the issue. Still, we loved the convenience of the bus to the mountain and proximity to town.
One other suggestion is a smart tv downstairs so we could access our subscriptions to watch movies together. If you donât have your laptop and cords to connect to the tv, then cable tv is all you can watch.
We were pretty tired from skiing all day so it wasnât much of an issue for us.
We all agreed it was a great stay and would consider returning next time we visit.
This condo was plenty big for our family of 5. The washer and dryer were a plus. We walked to/from the slopes most days. No problems. Only good things to say!
The space was perfect for our family, plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped, we couldn't get the ice to come out through the door which was a bit of an inconvenience. When first wanted to use the grill on the patio. I believe the starter didn't work and it was out of gas. But we did get someone to come out fairly soon to fix it.
A great home for family. Great floor plan. 3 rooms upstairs with an "overflow" area that we could put empty suitcases and boxes in the "office area" and keep some nice space in the bedrooms. The kitchen was great and, of course, open to the living room. Retreatia was great in all aspects of information and answering questions about the property. We will book this property again. I recommend it to all families.
The place was very clean, a large space for a friend group, great kitchen for cooking, and we walked to the ski slope or took the shuttle. Very great location! Parking was tough with only 2 spaces and no street parking - just a heads up!
The house was great! Clean and spacious. Price was reasonable as well. We tried to bring a snowmobile trailer and parked it in the driveway not knowing they were not allowed. The HOA must be strict or one of the neighbors complained immediately.... only got about 10 hours into the stay before we got a call telling us to move the trailer right away. Other than that, it was great.
The property was perfect from the location to the amenities. Had a perfect trip with family and was able to cook an entire thanksgiving dinner with no issues.
We had a great time at this property! Better than advertised! Clean, functional, well-stocked. Ideal for families. My 3 kids loved the bunk beds :-) We will book this property again if we are ever in Steamboat.
This property was ideal for families with kids! Ample space for kiddos to play and adults to hang out. Quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Our kids loved that they could ride their scooters outside and play in the awesome pool. Definitely would stay here again!
Had a relaxing, carefree weekend. Accommodations were outstanding and very well appointed. We had a little mix up about checkout time, but management was MOST accommodating. Very positive experience overall.

Wonderful Time
Great location conventionally located, beautiful views, hot tubs, and clean and nicely decorated. Great sized kitchen.
Place was great. Great location and very well equipped. Very clean. Only complaint though is that for a 6 night minimum stay probably should have enough consumables though to get you through a week,, salt, coffee filters, TP, etc.
We enjoyed our stay at Bear Lodge 6108. The amenities were nice, parking was good, enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Distance to town and base of mountain was great. One of the ceiling fan in the bedroom didn't work, but everything else was nice. Our only complaint was in dealing with the management company, Retreatia. We initially booked another property, but due to a computer system error, our rental was overbooked, so we were moved. While the move was fine (the new property actually worked better for our group), I do feel like we should have been offered a refund for the difference between the cost of the rentals. While it was only around $75, it would have been a nice gesture. Upon our arrival to the property, I felt like the instructions provided could have been clearer in where the property was located on the grounds. We were a little confused on how to find the actual unit, so I called the office. The first person couldn't help me, I believe due to a language barrier, so I was transfered to another gentleman. He was not helpful and the way he spoke to me like I was stupid, really left me speechless. It started our trip off on a sour note. The overall instructions for the unit could definitely be written better. All the ceiling fans/lights have special on/off switches, that were confusing. The TVs were tricky in a couple of rooms and the box in the master bedroom had to be on in order for the tv in the other bedroom to work. The hot tub instructions said "don't hit random buttons", but the buttons didn't have labels, so it was hard to know what controlled what. On the second day there, 2 of the key cards stopped working for the garage (still worked for the door to the unit). When I called the Retreatia office, they again acted like I didn't know what I was doing and that there shouldn't be issues, but I could stop by their office if I wanted new cards. We did stop by to get new cards and we were still treated like it was something we had done wrong. Also found it inconvenient that you had to drive to their office if you needed items for the unit. We ended up just buying our own toilet paper and paper towels when what was supplied ran out. We look forward to returning to Steamboat, but would be hesitant to rent another property managed by this company.
