A fascinating old building, well equipped for a comfortable stay. The family enjoyed staying somewhere historic. Kitchen had everything we needed and there is a tesco nearby
A wonderful place, good location, friendly hosts, we would go back again.
Annie made us feel very welcome, she was very knowledgeable about local places and things to do of interest. Her home is well equipped with all you need for a short or long stay. Even if the weather is bad there are lots of games, books, DVD's and a marvellous TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, U Tube etc. Annie and Owen have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We would recommend it. Thank you.
What a place, very amazing place
We had really great time there
Only problem with VRBO, which owner send us email saying we forgot the EarPod and we cannot reply back or find the owner details
We loved this house so much we didn't want to leave! Spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming, bursting with character and charm. Our lovely host, Annie was amazing and filled us in on some of the fascinating history of the property. We will definitely be back!
The pictures donât do this beautiful house justice. Private, spacious and comfortable. Great hosts. Weâll definitely be going back there. Central for lots of places
We booked for my bridesmaid and her family to stay here on the weekend of our wedding. This is what she had to say "it was beyond amazing. Attention to detail with every aspect - decor, entertainment for the kids, the welcome pack and the cleanliness was literally the best out of anywhere I think I've ever stayed in my life. Was sad not to have longer there". Thank you so much for making the booking stress free and giving them such a wonderful stay!
Wonderful stay with two grandsons and son in this home from home. Friendly welcome from owner with tea, biscuits cereal and milk. Lots of homely touches - condiments &spices and plenty of china for a Sunday roast dinner. Wookey Hole and Fleet Air Museum
This was a very special experience ... a combination of old worlde charm and a very spacious apartment with a touch of luxury. This place would suit a romantic stay right through to a family holiday. Annie is a very helpful and a charming host. All bedrooms are extremely spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped. The lounge and dining area is also spacious. Plenty of games and dvds to keep young and old amused.
Our whole family loved the Manor Annex in Shepton Mallet. The town is quiet, but has lots of little nooks & crannies to explore. It's also incredibly central to Bath, Glastonbury, and the rest of Somerset. That's important, because driving in the area is a bit of a slow (and sometimes stressful) process.
The house is gorgeous, spacious, and has lots of modern amenities. Excellent hot water supply to the upstairs, so baths & showers were easy for our family of 5. The beds are comfortable, and the many homey touches (Netflix, DVDs, games) made it so that my kids often didn't want to leave the house & garden for our adventures in the morning. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
This is a beautiful, unusual period property..perfect for people that want something a little bit different...great location, lovely owners...we had a perfect little break.
Our family of seven stayed 3 nights in the Manor Annex in Shepton Mallet. It was a wonderful experience. Annie was delightful and helpful with any needs or questions we had. Would love to go back and spend more time there.

Perfect accommodation for 3 generations of our family to use as a base for a weekend; only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house more!
Lovely welcome package of biscuits, cereals and hot drink provisions on arrival, plus a personalised message on the dining table from Annie the owner, which made us feel at home immediately.
Comfortable, clean and cosy throughout; the children were especially thrilled with the thoughtful selection of dvds, games, colouring pens and books at their disposal. Thoughtfully decorated to incorporate many quirky and traditional features, along with modern conveniences; it really was a home from home in all senses of the phrase.
Spacious character property beautifully decorated, in a great location
The Annex has been lovingly decorated. Annie and Owen have added little touches that show a lot of thought has gone into making it special. The bedrooms are spacious, the bathrooms are modern, and when you sit outside in the private, walled garden, you feel like you are in your own little Manor House. It is a great base for exploring the surrounding area: Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Wells (one of our favourites), and from the Annex you can walk easily into Shepton Mallet.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
We loved our stay at the Annex. Annie was very warm and welcoming, not at all intrusive. The house was quite lovely - had everything we needed. We were a family of 7, including grown children and 10 month grandchild. Our only regret was that we couldnât have stayed longer.
We had a wonderful couple of nights with everything we needed provided. The cottage was lovely... the photos really donât do it justice. Wouldnât hesitate to recommend this place.
