Found the perfect place to stay with friends and family. Was the perfect place for a much-needed away from work downtime! within walking distance of places to eat and drink and driving distance of several fun places to see!
Highly recommend this place!
This is a perfect condo and location to enjoy everything from pool, beach, local restaurants. The condo is spacious and very well equipped. The host was great to work with and highly recommend this property!
We love our stay. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable ,Short walking distance to the beautiful beach. A grocery store and restaurants walking distance. Communication was good. We will go there again on vacation.
Great property, I could tell from photo that it was dated and needed updating, but for the price, totally worth it. We really enjoyed it. Great size and location. Highly recommend getting new mattresses. Master bedroom mattress was not firm and when my husband got into bed, I would sink into the middle. Location is perfect. There are pickle ball, tennis courts and a basketball court across the street. Beach is walkable, we had a great vacation!
Loved this property and location. Very quiet community. Nice pool area. Easy walk to grocery/pharmacy/beach/bar.The condo was comfortable with everything you need for cooking. The items in the pantry are overwhelming, needs to be downsized. Bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. Host was very responsive when we had an issue with the grill. The only thing that needs upgraded would be the bath towels. Showerhead was a little awkward in its position. We stayed for 2 weeks, January 2023. We enjoyed this location so much that we are planning for a month next year.
Beach accessible but you'll probably have to drive and pay to park
The information leading up to the visit was very helpful and thorough. The condo was nice enough. Plenty of sleeping space and convenient extras left by the host. (Too much in the pantry though. There was nowhere to put groceries because it was packed with every dish you'll never need, ie 37 plates!) I went with a large group and we had a total of four condos in this complex. Theirs were much larger, nicely renovated and had bigger, screened-in porches.
The beach is close enough to walk to if you're solo and are only taking a few things but if you have kids and toys, you won't want to have to carry all your beach stuff that far and across the street so plan to park and pay with a max of 8-hr stay in the public access parking lot.
Be sure to be completely out at checkout, even if you're carrying the last of your things down AT 10AM (while all of our friends' checkout times in the same complex were 11), the cleaner will be there rushing you. We almost left a load of clothes in the dryer because we felt so panicked.
We had a great time at this property, which was right next to one of two pools in a gated private condo property. The until was clean and was just the right size. Kitchen was decent with a few supplies, but we of course had to get more stuff (coffee filters etc..) but there is a Winn Dixie across the road of the condo, and a Publix 3 min away by car. You can walk to the beach from this unit in just a few minutes by using the property access gate (you can re-park on the property too near the gate to make it more convenient). The rental had a beach cart, chairs, an umbrella, and a few beach items too. You are right my a main causeway that gets you into St. Pete easily with access to all major spots in minutes, tho on certain times of the day that causeway/ road can be very busy with traffic. We only have great things to say about the lace. If pushed for any cons, maybe the shower head in the bath needs changing/ updating to spray straight/ nicer stream. Also bedroom with two beds are on wheels and they moved around a little with the kids- maybe better to have no wheels or have some rubber foot under the there to hold them firm. But really, we loved the place, loved the location, and had a great spring break. Thanks!!
This review has nothing to do with the host of the property. She was awesome. The review is only about the property itself. Itâs very tightly secured, which gives guests a sense of safety, but the check-in process is very difficult. If youâre arriving at night finding the lockbox outside the gate is like an Easter egg hunt in the dark. Then the office was closed for two days and we were unable to get our parking pass. Then we were locked out from entering the parking lot and the person in the often was very rude about helping us. The location of the unit itself was not good. There is no privacy from any of the windows and the balcony is old and not comfortable, and directly faces three other balconies with a very small view of anything else. The condo itself is decorated well and all the necessities are provided for comfortable stay. The location of the property is convenient, but Madeira yacht club itself is not a place I would return to. itâs an older community that has a lot of rules. We are well seasoned and respectful travelers, but we were annoyed with all the rules..
To begin, travel was awful for us, so we were allowed to check in hours early. Tina answered my message immediately, and said no problem at all. Check in was super easy. This place was AMAZING - especially for the low cost, we really did not expect it to be so wonderful. Decorations were super cute, every landing was comfortable and clean from the sofa and beds to the nice little patio. The kitchen was stocked with every device. I make shakes and there was a blender! I thought to make pulled pork to convert into a couple different meals and there was a crock pot! Two bedrooms, the kid's has two twins plus rollaway, and a closet stocked with beach chairs, toys, umbrella, and carts to haul it all. Our bed was a Queen, and very comfortable. 2 Adults 4 kids could sleep easily. Tons of extra blankets if cold, or for snuggling up on the sofa. There was even an extra daybed in the living room our kiddo used as her reading spot. This includes 2 connected bathrooms with a bath/shower with excellent pressure, Wash/Dryer and 12 towels. Location was perfect. The beach/ocean is less than 10 minute walk and along the way are short piers where we laughed at diving pelicans. A playground, CVS, Dollar Store, and Winn Dixie are also short walk, in addition to a popular bar for the grown ups. St. John's Pass is only a 7 min. drive. and has tons of restaurants, shops...we took a dolphin tour from there and tried out the jet ski's. We would definitely recommend, and hope to visit again someday!
Great location. Tge area is coming back and things are opening up.Our only complaints is that the only shower in the unit has poor water pressure and limited hot water. The shower head is fixed so the water hits
Great location with walking distance to beach, restaurants and convenience store. Easy to communicate with responsive property manager.Good overall, but the community where this condo is located is starting to become a bit old and worn (the 2024 storm hit this area)
My spouse and 3 children stayed here the end of Feb and loved it. When we arrived the door was locked and the keys weren't in the lockbox, but Tina responded within minutes and got us in the condo. The location was perfect for our family, and walking distance to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and it was equipped with everything we needed. It was especially nice to see that the condo had coolers, beach chairs, towels, beach toys and an umbrella to use at the beach. There are 2 pools that are maintained well and close to the condo. My kids loved playing basketball across the street and watching for dolphins off the peer. The only small complaint we had was the shower. It pointed towards the wall, which was challenging to get clean. We also loved having a washer and dryer to be able to wash our clothes before we headed home. We would definitely go back and stay here again.
Condo was great with all you needed for a beach vacation. Short walk to the beach and small pool right next to the condo. Our host Tina was always available to message and help with any questions!
My family visited the Gulf coast all of my life and even after visiting the other wonderful locations in Florida they just don't compare to Madeira/St. Pete Beach. So fortunate to have found this jewel nestled on the Gulf :)
This property is practically right on the beach & surrounded by Intracoastal waterways, where dolphins & manatees play. Want to share this little slice of paradise, with others looking for the same get away ** Weâve taken extra care to disinfect above the thorough routine cleanings and in addition to normally providing soaps, detergents & cleaners, Hand sanitizers pumps and additional sterilization spray is also provided in unit for guests convenience & cleanliness :)
