Incroyable Lake Front Cottage, Perfect Summer Getaway

Construit en 1920, ce gîte de cru comporte un grand porche au bord du lac avec des vues spectaculaires. Il fournit des sièges confortables pour 12-14 pour profiter de repas, les couchers de soleil, ou simplement vous détendre avec un café ou un verre de vin. La salle à manger est un endroit idéal pour se réunir pour un repas, des jeux ou des cartes du Board. La télévision à écran plat dans le salon dispose d'un service DirecTV et un lecteur DVD. La véranda arrière est un endroit confortable pour lire ou regarder la pétanque joueurs aller à elle. Une cuisine bien équipée a une abondance de vaisselle, ustensiles, casseroles, poêles, etc., ainsi que les équipements standard: réfrigérateur / congélateur avec machine à glaçons, cuisinière, lave-vaisselle, l'élimination et micro-ondes. La buanderie a une laveuse et sécheuse.

Les chambres à l'étage comprennent 2 suites familiales, une double chambre privée et d'une vue sur le lac chambre simple. Chaque suite familiale dispose d'un lit queen avec une pièce voisine, séparée par des portes doubles, qui a un lit double. La suite familiale principale dispose d'une salle de bain complète ci-joint. Il ya une autre salle de bain complète à l'étage. Au premier étage, il ya une seule chambre à coucher et salle de bains moitié proximité. Le chalet peut accueillir 12 si tous les lits sont pleins. Le chalet est pas climatisé mais le lac et l'ombre gardent généralement les températures dans la plage de confort. Plusieurs ventilateurs sont fournis si nécessaire.

Le chalet se trouve sur un terrain gazonné énorme avec beaucoup de grands arbres et des arbustes. Il ya une abondance d'espace de jeux et une salle de respirer!

Le patio au niveau du lac avec tables et parasols est idéal pour les bains de soleil ou assis à l'ombre tout en regardant les gens nagent. Pêche au large de la station d'accueil peut être une façon amusante de profiter du lac. Une bouée est prévue pour ancrer votre bateau.

We had such a great stay. The house accommodated our group perfectly and the lake was amazing!!! Tom was the best host you could ask for!!

Summer Family Meetup in NY

This property is an older home that has been maintained beautifully. It is extremely well stocked with most things you will need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay and for entertaining the family. The hosts were outstanding and shared all the information we required for our stay. We had a perfect vacation.

The pride of ownership in this cottage is apparent. Everything was clean, charming, and if Tom didn’t have it we didn’t need it. We had 3 families here, with kids, and had the best time! Plenty of space and Tom was incredible. We just can’t speak to the TV situation because we never turned it on the week we were there. Excellent grounds and location. 5 stars!!

Crystal Clear Cottage City

Our family had a wonderful week at this cottage. It is clear that the owners great pride in this house and its deep history. The owner gave us a personal tour when we arrived. The house is charming and was a perfect size for our group of 10. The lake is absolutely beautiful- crystal clear and a perfect temperature for swimming . The location was within about 5 miles of major grocery store if needed and we were able to walk to the local shop for ice cream, pizza, and other amenities. We were also close to a marina which made it easy to rent a boat. We would rent here again in a heartbeat- it was a perfect location and a very charming cottage on the lake.

Perry/Murphy Get-a-Way

Our families do not get together often as we live in Michigan/Massachusetts/Pennsylvania. It was a great middle point for all of us. The house was great. The boat house had lots of activities for the kids. The lily pad was a great hit. Also the ice cream store & restaurant that was within walking distance. The only downside were the number of steps going down to the lake. All in all it was a great experience.

We very much enjoyed hosting Claudia and her family. They were terrific guests. We do have the steps to the beach, not much we can change there. It is nice being on higher ground for the view and when it rains.

Excellent water front and very nice older home

We spent a wonderful week at this property and I would highly recommend it! The water front area is wonderful with a boat house full of supplies, a pool table, and darts (magnetic). Wear your water shoes and enjoy the beautiful lake complete with gorgeous sunsets. The staircase to the water is steep so my mother only came down to the water once a day. My parents enjoyed sitting up under the shade and watching their grandkids play in the water. The house is an older gem and I loved many of the older features - like a rotary phone hung on the wall and old style light switches that work well. The air flow off the lake is remarkable and makes the lack of air conditioning tolerable. The reason I gave the property an overall 4 out of 5 is because some areas of the house were musty, possibly from dust and mildew. If you are sensitive to those allergens, then this house is not for you. Everything else was wonderful!

Great place to stay on Canandaigua Lake

Great place to stay with my adult children and parents. The view of the lake from the cottage is magnificent and we spent a lot of time on the screened-in front area of the cottage just looking at the lake and sipping coffee. We appreciated this older cottage that has been updated yet stayed true to the original character of the era. Not so easy to find this on Canandaigua any more! The kitchen was well supplied. Plenty of dishes and silverware for our group of 9 people. Tom was exceedingly accommodating with any questions, but especially in figuring out logistics to moor our boat out front. There was no problem, and he had a dinghy available, if we had needed it. It was easy enough to swim out to the boat (or we used one of our kayaks) The swimming area was nice. Bring water shoes because there are a lot of zebra mussels in the lake. The only challenge for my parents was the steepness of the steps to the water. Once down at water level, though, they enjoyed that area, with nice shade provided by umbrellas over two tables, as well as plenty of other seating. The kids loved the converted boat house to hang out and there was a nice assortment of water toys (we really didn't need to bring as much as we did). I would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent Lakeside Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the wonderful cottage. The house was clean and neat with all the modern appliances. The large dining area fit the 12 of us comfortable. The boat house, the patio at the water’s edge, the boat dock and buoy anchor were convenient for boating the entire week. It’s located a two blocks from a small convenience store and a few miles from Wegman’s supermarket. The owners are friendly and welcoming and were readily available if we had any questions. This was an excellent choice for our family reunion.

Excellent time for kids and adults alike!!

Everyone that was with us had a awesome time. The water was great, clean, and safe. The boathouse was a great hit for the kids!! They played pool and Foosball and darts. The fridge in boathouse made things really convenient while down swimming and boating. We were able to buoy the pontoon rental boat at the cottage. The owners were awesome and did whatever necessary to allow the best possible stay. It was a perfect place. Quiet, private and a store with pizza and ice cream cones just around the corner. We had a nice time roasting marshmallows on the beach. I cant say enough about the whole experience!! Thank you Tom and Carol!!!

A true gem

We very much enjoyed our week here. The lake was beautiful and the house was a real classic lake house, a gem we all loved. The patio on the lake shore was a great gathering place and the swimming area off the patio was perfect for young children. We couldn't have selected a better place for our vacation.

Wonderful family vacation spot

From the moment Carol and Tom greeted us, we knew that we had found a wonderful vacation situation. They couldn't have been more welcoming or gracious in providing everything we needed or in anticipating our needs. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. We most loved the screened in front porch where we did most of our hanging out. The big dining table was perfect for the 8 of us and could easily accommodate more. We loved sitting there enjoying our meals, especially dinner as the sun is setting. (The Vecchis were kind enough to provide a couple of temporary shades as the solar shades on order had not arrived in time for our visit). A surprise was that the kitchen was extraordinarily well equipped with things normally forgotten in rentals such as salad spinners, sieves, cheese graters, juice squeezers. etc. We are a family of cooks so that meant a lot to us. The property also is very quiet, a big plus for us. We look forward to a return.
