The location of the house was enjoyed by the whole family! The 3 youngest loved being able to go straight down to the sea when returning from excursions when the weather allowed! We took advantage of the wooden chairs in the garden in the evening: a good beer, a good book, a good jacket with hood and what a pleasure to watch the sun set behind the clouds or the Errisbeg Mountain (which we climbed with the four children)! We found the seclusion and calm that we wanted to experience in Connemara. We took advantage of the proximity of the very good and friendly restaurant "Glynsk House" (7 min by car). In short, an excellent stay!
Connemara is a place of uncorrupted beauty and this the kind of accommodation that allows one to appreciate it the most. It is the perfect family holiday house amid the calm of isolation, the sea and the wind bringing the next storm.
The cottage comes straight out of a dream of the past with a classic sitting room and a cosy fireplace full of old objects (pretty dusty, but this is the way it should be for authenticity..).
There are windows all around showing off the beautiful bay just few meters by the house. The view is amazing.
Mary, the neighbor, is very kind and well explained how everything works. Careful with the electric power, as the heating systems is a big energy consumer.
We spent a beautiful vacation and leaving the place was difficult after few days. We hope we can return one day.
