Close to the apartment you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, a theater /cinema, shopping areas, restaurants and a 24-hour shop. La Zenia has many residential areas close by offering you a choice of entertainment. The apartment is in a quiet area but still close to all local amenities.
Days out : La Zenia has a choice of sandy beaches and sheltered coves. The main beaches, Cala Bosque and Cala Cerrada, have Blue Flag status and offer safe bathing for youngsters and less confident swimmers. A pleasant walk along the coast will bring you to other good beaches including Playa Flamenca. The promenade and cliff top pathways are being extended so it is possible to walk to Cabo Roig and enjoy the views along the coast to La Manga.
A short distance from La Zenia at Playa Flamenco is the Saturday market where you can barter for holiday bargains. Popular purchases include pottery, leather goods, embroidered linens and jewellery.
There are 2 Aquaparks within reach of La Zenia. Go-karting is available in nearby Playa Flamenca. Horse riding is also available nearby.
There are also bus trips to Benidorm ( Night and day), Murcia and Cartegena, and other places of interest at a very reasonable cost, some may be free !
Nights out : Pubs & restaurants are within walking distance in La Zenia, Via Park 1 & 2, Playa Flamenca area, and also Cabo Roig's 'Golden MiIe' (as it's called). Villamartin Plaza with many excellent restaurants is 5 minutes drive away. There is a large supermarket 2 minutes walk from the apartment and a 24 Hour store also there.
La Zenia has many restaurants serving a wide variety of food from traditional Spanish menus to fast food, and from British pub fare to international cuisine. An ideal way to try Spanish food is to order a plate of tapas which consists of a medley of bite-sized dishes. Tapas are also ideal for filling the sometimes long gap between lunch and dinner, which is served later in Spain than at home.
Children are always made very welcome in Spanish restaurants and their tastes and portion sizes are usually accommodated.
Local wines are pleasant and inexpensive.
