Absolutely loved this beautifully renovated historic schoolhouse! Very clean and relaxing. Was a pleasure meeting Bryan! Very accommodating!
I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We are looking forward to returning!
Was fine. Get what you pay for.
Brian renovated an old schoolhouse as this cabin, it is remote and quiet and charming. It could use some updating, the kitchen/kitchen floor in particular. (We are foodies, and cook a lot). The other discrepancy is that it is 45 minutes to Yellowstone gate, not the 35 that he listed. (10 minutes can be a long time after a day in the park, which is a lot of driving in itself) Overall, it was fine.
Beautiful clean, wonderful.
Bryan, the owner, undersells his cabin with the photos on this site.
When we arrived I thought the the yard wasn't perfectly manicured. Bryan explained that he leaves it a little rustic because the deer and rabbits like it that way. We saw deer just outside the cabin window so he's right. I am sort of a clean freak so I'm always worried especially about a place surrounded by woods. The cabin was perfectly clean and much nicer than the pictures show. There is a sofa, recliner and table and chairs in the great room, plenty of cook wear in the kitchen and a separate bedroom with comfy mattress and linens. The pillows are like sleeping on a cloud.
Bryan's wife is an artist and has several nice pieces in the cabin.
When I mentioned to Bryan that I couldn't make the two mile walk to the waterfall he immediately offered to drive me there in his truck. It is beautiful. If you can make the hike you should do so. Emigrant Creek is beautiful. Very near the cabin there is a trail to the creek with a bridge across. It's an easy walk and well worth it.
The cabin has a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, hair dryer, toaster, iron and coffee pot.
It is secluded by bushes and because it is on a hill above the road. You will have complete privacy. We opened the shades on our first day and never closed them again.
We drove to Yellowstone every day and it was so nice to have a place to relax in the evening that wasn't just a hotel room. We saved some money by cooking a few easy meals at the cabin also.
We are so glad we stayed at this cabin and highly recommend it to anyone.
If you stay, tell Bryan to take the Alaskan cruise we talked about.
This cabin is cozy and sits up the road from the busy chico resort. It is nice and secluded only a hand full of other cabins around. Its more of an old turn of the century house than your standard "log" cabin look. Clean. Dry. Warm. If you are a simple person you cant ask for more. NOTE: this is a rural area starbucks is 60 miles away so dont be upset!😉
Cabine près du parc national de Yellowstone! Nous avons des randonnées illimitées. Baignade dans les célèbres sources chaudes de Chico. Beaucoup d'endroits à explorer.
