Nous sommes une destination familiale et non un lieu de fĂȘte. C'est trĂšs calme ici et nous l'aimons comme ça. Si vous aimez la fantaisie, vous allez l'adorer ici. Les photos racontent l'histoire.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! The home was as described, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. Our family of four enjoyed the stream and pond the most. We brought kayaks with us, so the kids enjoyed fishing from those and not just the banks. If you love the tranquil sound of a stream, this is the place to go! My kids were even able to tune in the stream. It wasnât too deep or shallow. The neighbors are very friendly, and you really couldnât ask for a better family style getaway! Kitchen was well stocked too which is important to our family because we donât eat out much. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation!
This is the perfect cabin getaway nestled on the creek, quiet, and perfect distance from Blue Ridge so you are able to truly unplug. The family of geese were adorable and the deer were very much out and about so definitely caution to take your time going around those back roads. Gravel roads lead up to the cabin. We have a minivan so had to go pretty slow as there were some bigger dips in the road bit definitely manageable. On to the inside, everything you could possibly need minus groceries and toiletries, all there. 2 king beds in downstairs bedroom and in loft. Our favorite part of the house was the all seasons room where you could sit and just listen to the rolling creek. Now it's important to remember that this is very much in the woods and bugs are to be expected. Big tip is to make sure counters and sink stay clean from anything that could attract ants. Again, just comes with the territory. Definitely recommend thale stay whether it's a couples getaway or a family vacay. Awesome spot! Oh and big thanks to Ellen for checking on us after the twins accidentally called lol!
This beautiful cabin is nestled between a creek and a pond. The surroundings are beautiful and you donât ever want to leave. Canât wait to be back!
Becaue we live in Tampa, we usually try to get to a cold climate during the Christmas holiday. This year we decided in the Georgia Blue Ridge mountains and we weren't disappointed. The cozy house was perfect. The fireplace was awesome and kept us warm during the chilly nights. The sound of the backyard creek was heavenly as we hung out around the firepit. We made friends with Buster, the neighborhood dog and he hung out with us as well. The kids loved skipping rocks on the pond and running around with Buster. We.couldnt have asked for a better time and the memories made will last foreever. We will definitely be back
The property was well-supplied and very clean. We tried to go fishing, but after not much luck, one of the neighbors said it was fished out. The creek was so nice to sit beside and we enjoyed the neighborâs dog, Buddy. The only things that wouldâve made our stay better, wouldâve been a TV upstairs and a hot tub. We would definitely stay here again though and would recommend.
We had an amazing stay at a beautifully located cabin at the perfect time of the season for the leaves to change. Had a great time in downtown Blue Ridge great places to eat and go antiquing. Relaxed by the fire pit next to the creek listening to the beautiful sounds of nature. Also had fun, relaxing while fishing had a couple of bites and caught one fish that we released back into the pond. Enjoyed playing with the neighbors dogs, especially buddy. Mountainside market is a delicious and convenient place up in the mountain to eat and do minimal shopping.
We all decided that this was the best yet. We enjoyed the cooler weather & some fall color. The cabin was perfect, most comfortable beds we have slept in. Everything we needed was there. The afternoon walks with Ellen, Buddy & the crew were priceless. Smores by the creek were so relaxing. I could go on & on about this cabin. We are already talking about next year. Thanks for a great week.
If you want to unwind and get back to nature this is the place for you. It is a short drive into Blue Ridge - but to be honest just shop on your way and unplug. Loved our time and walks with Buddy the neighbor's dog he is a treat. We will be returning for sure.
The creek was just steps from the back porch and provided hours of fun - especially the inner tubes. Toasting marshmallows and making s'mores around the fire pit were great ways to close the day. The house is very clean over all, though there were some small spider webs on the hanging light fixtures- including the one over the kitchen table. The cabin itself is well stocked and cozy. It truly was a lovely, relaxing weekend with many happy memories made.
Great location and the area is gorgeous. The cabin is small but was just the right size for us and we loved our nightly visit from buddy the dog. Miss Ellen the neighbor is great and she can tell you about the area. This was also the easiest cabin too get to and Murray's directions were spot on and it's almost entirely paved 2 lane until the last 1/2 mile. But the cabin was great and we're hoping to stay there next year. It was very peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit every night listening to the creek.
The pictures of this property absolutely do not do it justice. The moment we pulled into the driveway my family had a sense of peace. We had EVERYTHING we needed and more. The property was spotless and comforting. The neighbor was precious too!was
We LOVED this place and definitely plan to return! The property is gorgeous, the house is thoughtfully stocked, and the neighbors are so friendly and welcoming. The downstairs king bed is a bit lumpy and I wish we could bring our dog, but otherwise this place was perfect for us!
We really enjoyed Trout Run Cabin. The location was perfect with the creek on one side and pond on the other. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need. You can either enjoy a day in Blue Ridge or relax at the cabin all day.
My family and I had a wonderful stay here! My boys were in the creek daily and when they werenât tubing on the creek they were fishing in the lake. The cabin is the perfect size. There is everything you need and more!! We loved it.
Pros: Quiet, Nice home, peaceful once you get there. Fully furnished for cooking, which we did a lot of but didn't intend to.
Cons: Traveling the roads to the home was a big obstacle. Even my country-boy husband was nervous. Long sections of roads full of potholes, large rocks, deep dropoffs because of pavement worn away from sides of road. Narrow roads with inability to get to the side if meet someone coming in opposite direction. Someone must back up. One section is a bog hole where stream overflows. We had to go 10 mph on gravel road sections, some were ripples of bumps. Because of the road conditions, it is not the place to stay if you want to go into the surrounding towns daily (several miles away). We dreaded the drives to town. Driving at night on the gravel roads and partially paved road sections is not advisable. Outside furniture was very dirty. We did not sit on them because we had nothing but their towels to use to clean them up, but did wipe the small table down to eat on it. The wipe used to wipe it down was black when finished. We fished 4 days in the pond, but "0" fish. It states on the website it is a "Large Stocked Pond." A lady feeds them. You can only fish in a small area in front of the home. Way over-priced to stay here based on road conditions and with all of the turns that must be made to access the place. Shame on not being given travel hazard warnings. Drive an automobile NOT low to the ground (thankfully ours wasn't).
Our visit met and exceeded our expectations! Beds were super comfortable and loved the quiet location with the creek behind it by the fire pit. It is close enough to hiking trails, tubing down the river, visiting downtown Blue Ridge or just playing games or reading a book at the cabin. We would highly recommend this place! Buddy the dog made a daily appearance and met a few of the neighbors as well.
Growing up in Florida, I have always taken summer vacations to the mountains because it is so different. I love the outdoors so it is a natural thing to love the cabin. For me and my wife, it is a dream come true. We found the perfect place in the perfect location. We have young children and wanted a place that we could let them run and play and not have to worry. We found it. This is one of those items on the bucket list that has been fulfilled. We hope that our guests enjoy the cabin as much as we do.
My wife and I had always wanted a cabin in the mountains, on a stream, with a lot of flat area. In June of 2012, we found everything we had been looking for. One of the first things I noticed when I first visited the cabin was how quiet is it and all you can hear is the sound of the creek rushing by. It is a special place and we are just happy that we are able to share it with others.
Trout Run Cabin is such a relaxing place. It is so quiet here. You can just sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of the forest. One of the best things is that you feel so removed from everything yet you are only 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. It is just an awesome place.
