Family Holiday Home with Sauna near the Sandy Beach in Schönberg Holm

A holiday in a class of its own awaits you at the Dünenhase holiday home. Just 600 metres from the fine sandy beach of Kalifornien lies this spacious Swedish-style house. You can look forward to a light-filled living/dining area complete with a fireplace for those cold days or cosy moments for two. The Dünenhase has two shower rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. A particular highlight is the sauna integrated into the upper shower room. In total, up to seven people can stay comfortably in this beautiful holiday home. The bedrooms are also spread across the ground and first floors. The bedroom on the ground floor sleeps one person and is ideal for children or those with limited mobility. Would you like to have a barbecue and watch the children playing in the garden? The Ostseedomizil not only features a wooden terrace complete with a barbecue and comfortable garden furniture, but is also a paradise for young children in particular. Your children can swing to their heart’s content, play in the sandpit and romp about on the play tower in the garden. With its modern, maritime and lovingly appointed interior, this gem guarantees a place of peace and relaxation for up to 7 people. Dogs are also welcome and can run about to their heart’s content in the garden – there’s no chance of them getting away, as it’s fully fenced.

A small beach supermarket with an attached Glüsing bakery is just a 5-minute walk away.
For larger shopping trips, we recommend driving to nearby Schönberg.

You can reach the beach in about 7–10 minutes on foot. On the way to the beach, you can, for example, hire bikes from Gnutzmann bike hire or be crowned the day’s champion at mini golf.

Right in front of the sea wall, you’ll find restaurants, fish stalls (feel free to check out our fish sandwich directory on our website) or an ice cream parlour.

If you’re travelling with your dog, the dog beach is a 15-minute walk away. There, your four-legged friends can run around to their heart’s content, swim or simply relax.
Dogs are generally permitted on the beaches in the municipality of Schönberg. However, from 15 March to 31 October, dogs are only allowed on the beach in the designated dog beach areas.
The Kalifornien dog beach is located between groynes 26 and 26.5.
Good to know: On the dyke, dogs must always be kept on a lead to protect wildlife and birds.
