Minie's Cottage" - life as it really used to be: small, cosy, rustic cottage in an absolutely quiet location directly on the Kerry Way, Ireland's most famous hiking trail. Unpaved, private forest path with sea access approx. 800 m directly in front of the house. The 300 year old cottage in traditional style offers character and atmosphere as well as a very rustic interior.
Garden with garden furniture. Open plot, not fenced with neighbouring house on the property. Car parking possible.
1 bedroom (small double approx. 1.40 m). Living room with wood-burning stove. Living room with small flatscreen TV (approx. 20 German channels; no Irish TV). Combined living/dining room/kitchen (one room), kitchen with ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, kettle. Small sauna. Bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. Oil central heating. Laminate/tiled floor. No carpet. Non-smoking house. No pets allowed.
Sleepy village of Glenbeigh approx. 5 km with shop, pubs, restaurant. Large sandy beach with playground, basketball court and pub approx. 3 km. Car absolutely necessary/not suitable for bikes.
Limited mobile phone reception in the house due to the secluded location. Can be rented by the day. Minimum rental period 7 days. Travel cot and high chair available on request when booking. Please note that the holiday home can only be reached via an unpaved path (gravel path, approx. 200m).
