Nearby, in the town of Sagunto, you can experience the patron saint festivities during the first week of October. There, impressive processions by Moorish and Christian groups commemorate the entry of King Jaume I into Valencia, filling the streets with history, color, and tradition. Sagunto also boasts numerous archaeological sites that bear witness to the diverse cultures that have shaped this Mediterranean region. The impressive Roman Theatre of Sagunto, declared a Cultural Heritage of Special Interest, is particularly worth seeing.
