Escape to Whiling Loon, a peaceful lakefront cabin tucked among the woods on beautiful Long Pond in Great Pond, Maine. With few homes on the lake and a wonderfully secluded setting, this is the perfect place to slow down, unplug and enjoy a true Maine getaway.

The cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, with a warm, cozy interior and plenty of space to relax after a day on the water. There is also a bonus room set up as an office with a desk!

Step outside and the lake is yours to enjoy. Guests have access to a private dock, 4 kayaks, a canoe, paddle board, and swim platform. Spend the morning paddling across the quiet water, cool off with an afternoon swim, or simply sit by the lake and listen for the loons. There are two fire pits, with wood provided.

While you’ll feel tucked away from it all, Whiling Loon is also a great home base for exploring more of Maine. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 1 hour and 10 minutes away, making an easy and memorable day trip, and Bangor International Airport is less than an hour away. Less than 2 hours away is Lubec and Quoddy State Park which is the furthest point East in the U.S. mainland. Exploring the dramatic coastline of this beautiful state is easy to do from Whiling Loon!

PLEASE NOTE: One of the things we love the most about our little cabin is how secluded it is, but because of that it is about 45 minute from a grocery store - so come prepared! Please don’t hesitate to send any questions you have about what we have at the cabin or recommendations. Due to cleaner availability during the fall and spring we will only be able to rent between Friday and Wednesday with a check out time of 2pm - minimum of 3 nights. During the summer season we will rent Friday - Friday. Please reach out with any questions. Security Camera Disclosure - An exterior camera is located overlooking the lake and dock. This camera is fully disabled during all guest stays, including recording and live-view capabilities, and is only active when the property is unoccupied. Exterior security cameras at the entrance and driveway remain active.
