Beautiful location and view. Very clean property with the exception of some of the outdoor furniture. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful. Cookware is limited so if you plan to cook in the oven, bring some disposable pans.

Cabin is beautiful and quiet. Found the cabin well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The road to the property is mostly paved, but very narrow and curvy. My small SUV had a little trouble climbing the steep gravel hill upon leaving the property, but it made it. Meeting a dump truck coming in the opposite direction at one point scared me, but he got by me. Cleaning crew could improve some, windows were spotted and dirty, ruining the view from inside and were quite a few areas that could use a swiffer duster. But for the most part, everything was clean and neat. Cabin had a pleasant cabin smell upon entering and dishes, towels and sheets were clean. Mattresses were pleasantly comfortable. I usually have a hard time falling asleep in a strange bed and wake up with a sore back, but I had no trouble sleeping and felt great. Kitchen has new appliances that all worked very well, as we did a lot of cooking and tested them out well. Was surprised to find cabin stocked with entertainment games on the deck, such as a large connect four and cornhole. Pleasant surprise!I would most definitely stay here again, had a wonderful time!Thanks Justin!

This house is adorable and has a beautiful view! I brought my parents and my children and we only stayed two nights but had a great time. We would definitely recommend staying here!

The view at this address was second to none. If peace in the mountains is what you need this is the place for you. The beds were comfy and the AC was in very good working order. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was minimally stocked…but we really didn’t require too much….everything worked and we had what we needed. The porch is a wrap around with beautiful views in every directions. My husband and I loved driving around the grounds and seeing the views and forrest and animals. We even saw a peacock! The grounds are very well kept. Be prepared for a very rustic ride up the mountain to the house. Some of the roads were rocked over and narrow. Just be careful and enjoy. My grandson ran up and down the mountain 2x/day for exercise. He met many wonderful people as did we. We did take our trash down every day to a very nice area easily accessible. I do hope you enjoy as much as we did.

A quiet place to recharge

This cabin is wonderful place to spend time sitting on the wrap around porch or soaking in the hot tub. It’s very quiet and feels like you are by yourself in the middle of the woods. We had a wonderful weekend.

Perfect getaway

My family was in town for a baseball tournament at Lakepoint and we decided to stay away from the city this time. Everything about this home and our stay was literal perfection! The views, the accommodations, they were exactly what we needed to make this an amazing trip. We slept so well and felt so at home the entire week. Beds were comfy, a/c was cool and comfortable, hot tub was clean and spacious. The decor is adorable and we said many times we didn’t want to leave! Quick response to questions and basic necessities were provided. Be prepared for a decent trek from the front gate to the home itself but once you reach the destination, it’s worth it!! I hope we have a reason to book again!

We had an amazing seven day stay here at The Overlook. The home was beautiful and the views were even better. We spent every morning and night on the deck watching the sun rise and set over the mountains, whether it was in the hot tub or the outdoor couches. The beds were all very comfortable and lots of extra blankets for relaxing inside/outside on the couches. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our weeklong stay. The air conditioning worked great during the hot days when we needed it. The location was perfect for us. During our stay we traveled to Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Amicalola, Chattanooga, and Fort Mountain. In regard to the location, the GPS did take us right to the front door. If you enjoy the mountains and hiking, this place is for you.Somone mentioned in the reviews in regard to the neighbors. The closest neighbor is almost a mile away, and the last time I checked, you can't choose your neighbors. Don't let the mention of the neighbors hinder your trip to this beautiful home! We had an amazing trip and plan to come back during the fall time!

Beautiful sunrise

I booked this cabin for a girls trip/birthday getaway This cabin had everything we needed for our stay. The decor was nice and the beds were comfortable. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing to watch from the wrap around balcony. The only complaint I have was if you have someone that’s afraid of bugs( my 11 year old was terrified), the cabin was infested with ladybugs. They didn’t bother the rest of us but she was not a happy camper. Lol.

While our home does receive regular pest control, during ladybug season, the little critters tend to find their way into the home and we regret any distress this caused a member of your party. Door was standing open upon arrival. Advertises fireplace but not allowed to use. Offers fire pit but did not state had to bring your own supplies. There was no wood or a lighter. The gps does not get you to the house. Had cars parking near the house for hours at a time. Should advertise a 4wd vehicle is recommended that is not a vest easy road to take. The whole reason the trip was booked was to sit on the couch in front of the fireplace and look out the window at the sun setting across the mountains on the first vacation my husband and I have taken by ours selves, but the windows were filthy. And lastly the house close to the rental has a sign in the yard that says f trump and 86 47 which to me is highly disrespectful and almost made us leave the vacation.

To clarify a few points, GPS directions do lead directly to the home, and while the final portion of the road is gravel, it is generally passable and not considered difficult. The home does not provide firewood or fire-starting supplies for the fire pit, as noted in our house guidelines. Regarding the windows, they were inspected and are not dirty, though there is a coating on them that can sometimes give that appearance. We apologize if this affected your enjoyment of the view. We understand your concerns about the door being open upon arrival and the nearby activity you observed, and we regret any discomfort this caused. As for neighboring properties, we unfortunately have no control over signage or displays on surrounding private residences. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as guest feedback helps us continue to improve communication and clarity in our listings.

Mountain Cabin Perfection

Wow, there is so much to say about this mountain home…all of it good. 2 couples stayed here with 2 children and 2 dogs. We had so much room to spread out and never felt crowded. The 2 main bedroom both had en suite bathrooms and the 3rd bedroom was perfect for kids with bunk beds. The wrap around porch had 2 cozy couches overlooking the breathtaking view of the valley and river below. There was a large dining table on the side as well as 2 large sleeping couches towards the back of the home. The hot tub had front row views as well. The kitchen was well appointed with all of the necessary equipment and a perfect amount of dishes. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the firepit area, but it looked great with beautiful views and plenty of seating. The cabin is close to hiking trails and an easy drive to Ellijay. We went over to the Tumbling Waters trail which was beautiful. The owners have the home decorated beautifully. There is great seating in the living room, none of us ever felt like we had to compromise while lounging around. Do not hesitate to book this cabin. We will definitely be back…it gave us mountain cabin envy!!!
