À propos de cet hébergement
Vermont Log Cabin, Stone Fireplace & Forest Deck
Summary:
Tucked in the Vermont woods of Weston, this authentic 5-bedroom log cabin blends rustic charm with genuine comfort. Soaring ceilings, a grand stone fireplace, and a spacious deck with a grill set the tone for a true mountain escape. With room for up to 12 guests and the charm of Weston Village just minutes away, this is your ideal base for every season in Vermont.
The Space:
From the moment you step inside, The Weston Log House makes an impression. The great room soars with cathedral ceilings, warm log walls, and an oversized stone fireplace that anchors the entire space, the kind of room that feels equally at home after a powder day on the slopes or a long summer hike through the woods. Natural light pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows, and sliding glass doors connect the living area directly to the deck.
The kitchen is well-equipped and functional, featuring a breakfast bar with seating, a natural gathering spot for the group before heading out for the day. A loft off the main living area adds a charming secondary space, perfect for board games, puzzles, or a quiet moment away from the group.
Five bedrooms provide ample sleeping arrangements for up to 12 guests, spread across three floors with easy access throughout the home.
Step outside to a generous deck furnished for outdoor dining and relaxing, complete with a gas grill. On the back lawn, a firepit surrounded by chairs is the natural endpoint for any Vermont evening, whether you've spent the day skiing, hiking, or exploring the village.
The Neighborhood:
The Weston Log House sits in Weston, one of Vermont's most beloved and picturesque villages, the kind of place that feels like it hasn't changed in decades, in the best possible way.
The Vermont Country Store, a true New England institution, is just minutes away, worth a visit for its charm alone. The Weston Playhouse Theatre, one of the oldest professional theaters in Vermont, brings world-class performances to this small mountain town throughout the summer season.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Greendale Loop Trail is a local favorite, a beautiful hike alongside a brook that's perfect for all skill levels. Okemo Mountain Resort is just 15 minutes away, making this an ideal base for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. In the warmer months, the surrounding Green Mountains offer hiking, fishing, and the kind of quiet that's increasingly hard to find. The charming towns of Ludlow and Londonderry are both a short drive for dining, shopping, and local flavor.
Getting Around:
Vehicle is recommended, with 4x4 or AWD in the winter.
Other Things to Note:
Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.
Weather: The home is located on a dirt road. During mud season, typically March through April, the road may be muddy or rutted. We recommend driving with care and having a vehicle with adequate clearance during this time. In winter, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended.
Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.
Pets: We're happy to welcome your pup to the home. There's a $150 fee + tax for the first dog and $50 + tax for a second one. We welcome up to 2 dogs, each at least one year of age. If you're planning to bring more than one, please reach out to us before completing your booking so we can get everything set up for you. For everyone's comfort, we kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that you clean up after them. Please note that cats aren't permitted due to allergy concerns. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges.
Maximum occupancy: Please mind that this house can host a maximum of 12 guests per fire code. As per the fire department, infants are included in that number. Therefore, any infants included in the booking above maximum occupancy of 12 would unfortunately result in the reservation being cancelled.
Cancellation Policy: We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.
