Hi, I’m JM! In my 20s, I had the opportunity to travel extensively across Asia and beyond, visiting Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Macao, Brunei, and the United Arab Emirates. I’ve also explored many beautiful destinations throughout the Philippines, from Luzon to Visayas and Mindanao. These experiences allowed me to discover different cultures, traditions, cuisines, and ways of life, which inspired my love for meeting people from all over the world.

I am passionate about languages and cultural exchange. Over the years, I have studied Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, and Hebrew. I speak English, Filipino, and Bisaya, and I also teach Chinese. Learning languages has given me countless opportunities to connect with people from different backgrounds and gain a deeper appreciation of their cultures and perspectives.

Beyond traveling, I enjoy visiting museums, historical landmarks, and cultural sites. I am fascinated by the history of different places and the stories of the people who lived there. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to learn about the local heritage, traditions, and historical events that have shaped each destination. For me, understanding a place’s history makes every journey even more meaningful.

My love for travel began through Couchsurfing, where I met amazing travelers and hosts from around the world. Through those experiences, I was introduced to the hospitality industry and later to various online travel platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb, and Trip.com. Hosting has become a wonderful way for me to continue sharing the joy of travel, even when I’m at home.
