Find privacy and tranquility in the woods of Ludlow at this four-bedroom home, an all-seasons Vermont retreat with an expansive deck, beautiful views of Okemo Mountain, and easy access to ski slopes, golf courses, and hiking/snowmobile trails.

This lovely, three-level lodge is tucked away in the forest south of Ludlow, just one mile from the shops and restaurants in the center of town. Spend the crisp winter months skiing and snowboarding on 121 trails at Okemo Mountain Resort two miles northwest, and return each summer to tee off at the Okemo Valley Golf Club (three miles north) or go hiking in Camp Plymouth State Park (eight miles north).

Your vacation begins as soon as you step inside, where you'll find an open floor plan, lofty wood ceilings, and a wall of windows that frame the trees and mountains. Snuggle up on the plush sofas with a book or a board game, and plug your phone into the sound dock to give the afternoon a soothing soundtrack.

Begin each morning with breakfast and freshly ground coffee in the kitchen (with stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher), and log onto the free WiFi to make a plan for the day ahead. Come winter, you can grab your ski clothes from the washer/dryer, spend the day on Okemo Mountain, or simply settle in for a movie on the cable TV; in the summer, you can sunbathe on the deck, light the gas grill for al fresco meals, and use the telescope to keep watch of the local wildlife.

3 adults and 6 kids between ages 3 and 11 were comfortable and great location only minutes from Okemo. Would rent again.

Family Ski Weekend at Okemo Resort

I booked this property for a ski weekend in Vermont. The home is very close to the mountain and was in good order when we arrived. I would recommend this home for anyone planning a ski trip to Okemo.

Great Location Nice View

The house was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well outfitted. Definitely need good traction if you are there in the winter. The road up is somewhat steep. The only bad thing is that the toilets could be updated. They are small and low and they leak so that at night, you hear them fill every so often.

Okemo Easy Access

Nice place where you can see the slopes from the living room. Three out of the four bedrooms have large beds for couples. Be aware of this when booking. Perhaps one of the three bedrooms could have a single bed added to the room. Would make the house even easier to rent.

Great ski house

This home was great for our group of 6. Excellent location. The kitchen was well stocked and good for cooking meals. However, Vacasa didn’t have the house ready for us - got an email about late check in (1.5 hrs later than we were supposed to check in). Then, once we arrived and unpacked we found the house has still not been cleaned. Not an ideal start to the vacation. House was great, Vacasa not so much. They overpromised on what they could provide during a busy holiday season by having too many houses to clean and not enough staff.

Mountain House 🏡

Great location. The house is nice but the furniture is very dated to the point of falling apart. Master bedroom is misleading. It’s a loft. No doors = no privacy. Master shower curtain should be changed. Years of mildew and soap scum accumulation. More towels needed. Spend a little money on oversized towels. The Dollar general brand are uncomfortable. I had to fix the grill to make it work and the deck needs maintenance. I would not stay again.

Great Chalet/Poor Maintenance

This chalet is in an excellent location, close to Okemo Mountain with great views and just up the hill from the town of Ludlow. The house is well appointed with bedrooms and comfortable beds for a family or a group. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, table settings, and appliances to cook for a crowd. Hot water and pressure were also above average. We would return if the property manager, Vacasa, was doing a better job. They notified us last minute that the chalet was not cleaned and ready at the agreed check-in time. If substitute cleaners had not arrived and kindly let us into the house while they were cleaning we would have been sitting in our car in the cold for well over an hour. It took two days for Vacasa to try to fix the living room lights that they were told weren't working on our arrival and to shovel snow off the deck and barbecue so it could be used. We never were supplied with ice melt for the very dangerous and icy walkway so we shoveled snow ourselves over the ice so we could walk to and from our car. We requested a call from a Vacasa manager, which we never received. It's a shame but perhaps the owners need to hire a better property maintenance company.

Nice base for Okemo

Loved the fact that it was really close to base and really easy to access. Everything worked and the checkout process was super easy. Only issue was that they didn’t clear the ice from the pavement to the door.

A great getaway!

The property was clean, family friendly and the kitchen was well equipped. The mountain views from the great room are beautiful, there is room outside for kids to play, the mud room comes in handy, also the fireplace is up higher which is great if you have small children. The stairs were easy for children to go up and down, the home had plenty of room for a family of 8, it was even better than depicted in the pictures. We will definitely stay her again!

Perfect long weekend escape!

The home was lovely and in a perfect location. Beds were comfortable and we easily stayed warm in sub-zero temperatures. Kitchen was one of the most well-stocked vacation rentals in terms of cookware and tools. You can easily prepare large meals and cozy up in front of the large windows. Would recommend at any time of the year.

Scenic hideaway

Loved the fact that it was so private and quiet. The kitchen was well furnished. The home was immaculate. The only negative was the weather was unseasonably warm while we were there and there was not a ceiling fan in the master suite and there were no portable fans to be found.
