A peaceful soundscape of birds, sparrows mostly, but with welcome silky sounding golden orioles, hoopoes and other visitors. Rustling palm fronds, and wind in the trees complete the picture.Pool is a good size, clean and well kept by the pleasant pool man, the lovely keyholderâs husband. Electric gate works well, and doors locked with confidence. Insect screens on the windows and doors were good.Covered outside area offers a spacious and comfortable refuge from the sun, and a great place to eat. The room layout suited us very well.Views from the villa are far reaching and delightful. Sunsets are a joy. Pliego has the essentials, Mula has a choice of new supermarkets, shops and facilities.Essentially, the villa is a bit tired. Though clean, much could have been replaced some years ago. Cutlery is limited to sharp but flimsy steak knives, and a few forks and spoons.Outside area of low maintenance broken stone is treated as âno maintenanceâ, has some fruit trees, otherwise taken up by weeds. Lots of broken glass and bottle tops in the loose stones by the pool. Apart from a DIY pallet based one, there are only two sunbeds, no sunshades. A tree casts some shade with a wooden bench nearby. Promised satellite/cable tv not true. Managers told us the smart tv has Netflix, which they felt was enough. Netflix enabled, yes, but with no account. Wi-Fi internet had between 0.8 and 3.0 Mbps so good luck with that. We used a Starlink satellite setup, but we didnât leave it behindâŠ
