GUEST ACCESS
We love providing our guests with a private, undisturbed Northwoods experience. While we won't be there in person, we are only a message away! We utilize a smart-lock for seamless self-check-in and have a trusted local team in Ely- including our dedicated cleaning staff and maintenance crew, should any urgent needs arise during your stay.
Your Private Dock & Waterfront Guests have exclusive use of our private dock and rare sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing, and mooring personal watercraft.
Please Note: To ensure our shoreline remains pristine and the lake stays healthy, boat launching is not permitted directly from the property.
Bringing a Boat? The public boat launch (Moose Lake Public Access) is located just minutes away. It features an easy-access ramp to get your vessel in the water. Once launched, you can cruise over and tie up directly at our private dock for the duration of your stay. We offer plenty of space in our dedicated overflow parking area for your trailer once you've unhooked.
A Respectful Community Part of the charm of Moose Lake is the friendly, respectful community. Please note that a local easement allows a few neighboring property owners to access a separate, designated dock area on the edge of the property. They are wonderful neighbors who respect your privacy, and your main dock and beach area remain completely private for your exclusive use.
Guests have full and private access to the entire home, excluding the garage bay which is used for supplies and owner storage. No outbuildings, including cabins of the former Canadian Border Outfitters are accessible to guests. Please do not enter. Thank you.
Extensive parking is available, including a dedicated overflow area for boat and snowmobile trailers.
Please refrain from exploring the resort portion of the property as this is under different ownership. Guests will be provided a detailed map of the property within their welcome packet.
HOUSE RULES
Septic System Care To protect our pristine lake environment and our modern plumbing:
Flush toilet paper ONLY. * Absolutely no feminine products, "flushable" wipes, paper towels, or baby wipes.
Fish Cleaning Protocol To keep the home fresh for everyone:
No fish parts or entrails are to go down any interior drains or the utility sink.
Please dispose of all carcasses in sealed bags and in compliance with MN DNR guidelines.
After processing, the utility sink and equipment must be scrubbed clean and disinfected to ensure no lingering odors for the next guest.
Wood Stove & Fire Safety Legacy Wood Stove: Only use the seasoned hardwood provided. Please do not burn trash.
Outdoor Fires: Please only use the designated fire area. Fires must be fully extinguished before retiring for the night. Never leave a fire unattended.
Equipment & Wellness Peloton: Please wipe down the bike and mat after use with the provided disinfectant wipes.
Baby Gear: To ensure the safety of future tiny guests, please let us know immediately if any of the baby gear (Brezza, Bouncer, etc.) requires deep cleaning or maintenance.
The "No-Trace" Shoreline Please do not move rocks or large pieces of driftwood from the shoreline.
Ensure all kayaks, canoes, or lake toys are pulled up onto the sandy beach or secured to the dock overnight to prevent them from drifting into the BWCA.
Guests are not permitted to enter any cabins or outbuildings on the property.
