Pure relaxation right by the forest & only 750m to the beach in our retro chalet

Relax in the beautiful Lübeck Bay, located right next to the forest and just 750 meters from the beach. Kellenhusen has plenty to offer dog lovers. There are 3 dog-friendly beaches and an off-leash area just 300 meters away, right in the woods. You can take your partner, children, or dog on beautiful walks through the woods or along the water’s edge and the beach. Pure relaxation.

The small vacation complex “Am Walde” (consisting of 10 houses and 5 apartments) also features its own dog playground (a 1.25-meter-high pasture fence with toys and a slalom course) and, of course, a children’s playground, so that both two-legged and four-legged friends can have fun and relax—

Our “Retro Chalets” are cozy and furnished “just like Mom’s,” featuring one bedroom with comfortable double beds (1.4 x 2.0 m sleeping area) and another bedroom with a bunk bed. A cozy living room with a kitchen and a charming bathroom with a shower round out your vacation retreat. Each house has its own terrace and patio furniture. You can tie your dog up on a leash on the terrace.

We have several houses of the same design… differing only in the colors of the furniture and the interior and exterior paint. All have the same amenities. If you have a preference for a specific house... just ask us :)

You can also rent bicycles and SUPs (stand-up paddleboards) from us (subject to availability).

Notes:
- We have a Finnish sauna (for a fee) at our vacation resort. Due to COVID-19, use of the sauna may be restricted or unavailable during your stay.
- A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per unit (dogs must be kept on a leash both on our property and in town/the forest so that every guest can enjoy a relaxing vacation).

Billing Information:
- Electricity is billed based on consumption at 40 cents/kWh (approx. 2–3€/day in summer, 3–9€/day in spring and fall, 10–28€/day in winter)
- The visitor’s tax is charged separately at 2–3.50€ per adult per night, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Kellenhusen Baltic Sea resort
- Charging station / wallbox: We have a private, fee-based charging station for our guests in our central parking lot. (max. charging current 11 kW)

Note regarding bed linens/towels:
- These are not automatically included in the booking. You can either bring your own or book them for a fee. Bed linens for 12€ per person and towels for 6€ per person.

Retro:
All of our houses and apartments date from the ’70s and ’80s and are decorated accordingly—or, as they say, “cozy like Mom’s place”—with appropriate beds, a kitchen featuring a dishwasher, stainless-steel stovetops, a separate microwave and refrigerator, and a drip coffee maker, a couch in the living room and an armchair with a TV and TV stand, a bunk bed in the children’s bedroom, and a double bed in the master bedroom. A functional bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink is, of course, included. Our Danish wooden houses feature highly efficient electric heating systems and boilers/instant water heaters.

Fireplace: Some of our units have been refurbished, meaning the furniture was replaced around 2020; in some cases, the flooring has been replaced with low-maintenance, modern flooring; a new kitchen with a ceramic cooktop, microwave convection oven, and Senseo pad coffee maker (optionally with a filter coffee machine, subject to availability), box-spring beds in the master bedroom, and the Danish wooden bungalows feature a wood-burning stove for the colder months.

Wellness: In addition to the “fireplace” upgrades, some of our units have also been equipped with wellness features. This means that the Danish wooden bungalows have a private infrared sauna and an outdoor hot tub in the garden, as well as a natural wooden fence. The vacation apartments in this category have a hot tub, a large terrace with lounge furniture, and some apartments also have a fence.
