House has black mold!

When we got to the house the garage was an ice rink due to a broken pipe that was still leaking. After 40 minutes of trying to get ahold of the host she got a plumber there to fix it. The house was not clean at all. There was paint on my bed sheets. I washed them in only hot water due to there not being any laundry detergent and by the way the house looked, I doubted they were washed. If there was no detergent how does the cleaning person clean all the towels and bedding? More than likely just water. The beds upstairs had no sheets, just comforters. There was dust bunnies and pills on the floor. We called the cleaning person and they told us the place is a dump and the owners don’t give him supplies to properly clean the house. There was black mold in the closet where the leak was. It wasn’t a little bit of black mold either. I told the host there was black mold and she said she didn’t have another house to put us in. However, there was a hotel across the street we could’ve stayed. When we woke up on the last day of our visit and we had no water. I text the host at 7:45am telling her and she responded with “did you ever get the water back on” 28 HOURS LATER!! We left at 10:30am the day before she finally text me back! With all our troubles they gave us such a low credit back. I would not stay here! The house is not cleaned, the host has terrible communication, there’s black mold and it doesn’t seem like the owners truly care about you or their rental.

Decent cabin

Check in/out was very easy. Nice location on the pond. Cleaning service was not very thorough at all. Needs a major deep cleaning. 2 outside patio tables with only 3 chairs and 1 of those was broken. Comfortable beds on the 1st floor. Loft beds were saggy, but kids did not mind.

Good place to sleep but no extras

If you are looking for a place to sleep and eat- then this place will do just fine. However there are no extras or frills. Only two outdoor chairs with two tables that all needs updated. House was not very clean- ball of hair and dirt right in front of fridge on floor in kitchen when we arrived. Carpets are dirty and need replaced. No Wi-Fi or tv
 which is not a huge deal because we were there to be on the lake, not watch TV but in this day and age, whodoesn’t at least provide Wi-Fi. Plenty of places to sleep but like I said, no extras.

Very nice condo and location

Condo was relatively clean when we arrived. Needed to buy toilet paper as no extra. Easy walking distance to water park. DirecTV was clear but lacked channels. Overall it was a great vacation and the location/condo was a major plus.

Don’t stay here!

Absolutely disgusted with this place and management. We were there the last weekend in May, Memorial Day weekend and the a/c stopped working. We were told someone would come in the morning which they did and it started working again and after they left it quit working. We called him back and told us it was above his pay grade. So we went without a/c the whole weekend. When we first got into the house there was a strong pee smell and I looked in both bathroom’s upstairs and downstairs guess what was in there? Dirty diapers with no trash liners. It looked as though the cleaning crew was never there. We even swept the floors when we got there because the floors were atrocious. I told Beckie (management) about everything and I did get one night deposit back but no cleaning deposit back. The next couple of days I got an email from Beckie about blood on the sheets and we have no idea how it got there. In the email thread there were previous emails with the cleaners and they accused me of putting diapers in the trash! I am appalled at Beckie and her management skills. It is a nice house if it was actually taken care of and pretty good location. Other than the crappy manager and better cleaning crew that knows what they are doing this place would’ve actually been nice to stay at. Also Beckie made a point to me I would not be able to rent from them in the future like I would ever actually want to stay at that place again!

Okay property

I would agree with all the reviews this property can use some love. Our grandson toy was under the couch and yikes! It was very filthy! There are only two chairs in the patio the third had a hole in the seat. The bathroom could use a little help. At first we had no hot water in the kitchen or upstairs bathroom. Thank goodness my husband is a plumber. All the hot water valves were turned off
not sure why. Overall it is manageable to stay here . Hopefully the homeowner does not pay much for the lack of cleaning! This cabin sits on a corner so you do get a lot of traffic and headlights in the bedroom. Could use a good curtain to keep out the light.

Great place

We really enjoyed staying here. The only downfall was it was not very clean. The floors were gross, bathroom trash not emptied, dirty blankets behind tv in loft, blankets in the closest were dirty. Aside from the cleanliness factor we had a great time. They added more beds up top which was nice. Not as many chairs outside as shown in the pictures.

Perfect location

The cabin was perfect for my family of 5, plus my parents. There are plenty of beds, seating, food storage, kitchen and bath supplies. My kids loved the pond. Short walk across the street to the water park. The furniture is definitely updated and not what's in the pictures. Positives outweigh the negatives. The kitchen sink faucet is broken so water runs out the backside onto the counter. There was no propane in the grill tank ( we had family in a cabin down the road so we used theirs), and the large triangular windows are full of spider webs, stuff and dust.

Great place!

The over all stay was amazing. Great accommodations for sleeping arrangements with 4 single beds and a bunk bed located upstairs along with a bathroom 2 nice bedrooms downstairs with a queen bed in one and a king bed in the other. Also a very nice pullout couch bed located in the living room. Only issue we had was with Toilet paper and trash bags. Upon arrival we only found 1 half roll of TP but it was completely minor and an easy fix on our end.. I would gladly come back to this property again.

Good Overall

The location was wonderful. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals. The property itself was nice but not clean. Rugs were dirty, lots of cobwebs in the windows, floor was sticky, dirty sheets on the closet floor. The water faucet in the kitchen leaks badly, only one of four light bulbs in the main bathroom were working, there are towels shoved in the holes where the smoke detectors should be, and there were no garbage bags. The place needs some love and it would be outstanding.

listing was somewhat misleading

The upstairs bathroom did not have a mirror at all, the outdoor patio was not as described (per photo on VRBO) as it did not have a large outdoor table with 4-6 chairs for company to sit outside, rather it only had 3 chairs, one was broken and a small table. All of these items have been former complaints from prior guests (6 mos ago) so would have thought they should be resolved. The fire alarms were not properly installed and were without batteries. Ants were also an issue but at least the home was prepared to deal with. Lastly, the TVs had no access to cable, not even local cable which was disappointing based on the price of the home.
