Kinghorns Gardens is a luxury retreat, completely private, self-catering, 2 bedroom guest house property situated in the idyllic Cape Town suburb of Noordhoek located on the picturesque Cape Peninsula. The farm gardens boast 8200 square meters. Rustic, yet luxurious in design and catering for all your needs, this garden style luxury cottage is the ultimate Cape rural living experience. Nature lovers rejoice in this living!

The house features only the highest quality finishes and everything is custom designed and built, mainly from oak and other hardwoods. A well equipped modern farm kitchen caters for all your needs. Private chefs can be arranged for any occasion or for the entire stay. Lots of stone work can be found outside and inside the guest house and creates a contrast to the other natural elements and colors. Two outdoor showers add unique experiences under the African skies. A well equipped library features a wide range of literature for every taste and includes natural literature on the biodiversity of the gardens. Both bedrooms are en suite and equipped with fireplaces. A large fireplace features as a focal point in the living room.

A large sunset deck caters for any occasion from an abundant breakfast to a wine from our neighboring farm Cape Point Vineyards. No less than 6 outdoor areas feature over the large gardens and cater for any occasion and all weather conditions and vantage points. A waterfall feeds a water stream running through the heart of the gardens.

Meditation areas can be found around the gardens with water features surrounding them.

A huge outdoor grill and seating area can be found above our farm style dam.

Special note on our electricity supply: We have a battery operated backup system which runs basics like lights, WIFI, Television and Fridge in place - however during national power outages certain appliances like the sauna will not be functional.

A water filtration backup system are in place to ensure complete continuity. The Eco friendly house is designed to minimize carbon emissions and maximize recycling. A water filtration system allows an unlimited supply of filtered fresh water. We have high speed fibre optic Internet.

We grow our own organic olives and vegetables, all for our guests well being and enjoyment. Activities are strictly organic and no pesticides or herbicides are used at all. Compost is organically made from neighboring farms and organic waste from the gardens and houses.

The farm garden features an enormous biodiversity of indigenous Protea (rare Protea are cultivated in our greenhouse), flowers, forests, grasses, rock gardens, picnic lawn areas as well as large olive orchards and lots of beautiful Mediterranean planting. Hundreds of herbs are also grown for harvest and use the kitchen.

A myriad of wild life can be found in the gardens and our dam. Our conservation efforts ensure this as well as an abundance of birds.

Our outdoor spa features a sauna as well as a huge waterfall shower which gazes out on the gardens and the ocean.

Everything is completely private.
