Larisa, the house manager, was wonderful. She is a very hard worker, always washing the steps and keeping the house in pristine condition. She prepared a great breakfast for us each day, and three delicious dinners. You found a winner with Larisa. She made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Resort Treehouse Perfect for the Whole Family

The treehouse was the best part of the trip to Roatan. Beautifully landscaped and comfortable. The icing on the cake was the service from the driver (Abraham) and the staff (Larissa & Fanni).

This place was amazing!

If you like the idea of staying at a resort with just you and your friends, this is the place for you. Several large bedroom's and fantastic common areas. Larissa (the house manager) is an absolute home run! She and her son made our gang a meal one night that was out of this world. She took very good care of us throughout our stay. We also went with the driver package and Abraham was there for us at all times and places any time we needed him. All in all this place was great!

4th Stay and always best place to stay

This is our Families 4th stay with Drew and his staff. Again they never fail to impress and provide a top quality experience. From the Kitchen to the accommodations and Pool area everything is 5stars. The location is excellent close enough to West End, West Bay, grocery shopping and the Airport. We look forward to staying here many more times.

Even better than I had hoped.

Our group (two families with kids) loved our stay at Drew’s treetop house. The property is magical- even better than the pictures- and the layout means you can have your own space when you want it while benefiting from the common space in the main house. The commercial kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook, and the bar is well-stocked as well. Larissa (the caretaker) couldn’t be friendlier and takes care of cleaning dishes, making beds, and answering questions. The kids loved Long John (macaw) and Missy (cat) in addition to the pool and the facilities. I can’t think of a single negative and we’ll definitely be back - it was a wonderful week.

This place is truly special...like out of a movie. The facility is multi-leveled and built into the side of a hill in the middle of the jungle. The staff is truly outstanding, and they make sure that the place is impeccable. The owner, Drew, really cares about the quality of your stay. There were a few questions that I had during the trip, and he responded immediately. I'm going back.

Home Away from Home

Our stay at the Jungle Canopy Tree House was nothing short of amazing despite being rained out for a few days. The house itself is so fun and spacious yet with great communal areas in the bar/game room, kitchen and gym. Communication with Drew was timely, clear and friendly! Mary Lynn was prompt with her messaging and Larissa, who was there taking care of the home during our stay was exceptional. We loved her and were so thrilled with all her efforts to make sure we had a great time. Honestly we were treated like we were friends and family at the treehouse and we are profusely grateful to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We will be back!!!!!

Fantastic stay

Our group of 8 stayed here for a week. Being up in the trees overlooking the reef was amazing. A peaceful spot up away from it all. It's close to areas like the West Bay & West End, but also the sort of place you'll be happy to just spend the day lounging in the sun. Larissa and her crew were great, we enjoyed the food quite a bit! And don't miss signing up to have Abraham drive you around the island. He was a fun companion, and was helpful steering us in the right directions. We were impressed at how responsive & punctual he was throughout the week. Drew, his staff, and the house were all a big part in making our trip to Roatan a success.

Very unique property! Well run and owner continues improving. Drew, Larissa, Abraham, and crew are very nice and accommodating. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. We came with a group of eight(4 couples) and the rental was perfect with a stocked bar, pool, plenty of outside seating areas. The driver, Abraham, knows the island well and everyone on the island seemed to know Abe. Larissa prepared great breakfasts , even did our laundry. Spectacular views and great landscaping and lighting. The resident macaw was fun to watch and listen to.

Truly Unique and Fantastic

This is our second year at the Jungle Canopy Tree House. We loved it so much that we came back again. And our second stay did not disappoint! The hosts of this property are top notch. We had some emergency issues with our travel and they completely accommodated us from start to finish. They went above and beyond in making our stay the most comfortable and relaxing. The pictures and description is spot on and you can be rest assured that everything will be perfect for your stay. I would recommend the five star driver and personal chef as added options for your stay. They know the island and they take extra time to make sure your stay is tailored to your preferences. You can't go wrong with this choice for your special group and family vacation!

Unique property with wonderful amenities

For a group that loves to cook and hang out after a long day on the water, this property with its courtyard-style pool surrounded by a luscious landscape was perfect. Inside the air-conditioned chef's kitchen and lounging area provided another place for us to eat and share stories. There's a professional onsite gym that a few of us used! Loriza, our sweet caretaker, made us a traditional Honduran meal and took great care of the house during our stay. We couldn't have asked for more. Good to know ahead... there are a lot of steps to get up to the house and to your rooms. It was good exercise for us.

Lofty luxury in the trees

Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful vacation that met everyone’s needs for adventure, downtime, workouts, good food, exploring, alone time, and family time all in a pristinely clean and gorgeous environment. This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to prioritize some privacy with ability to easily explore the island. The gym is perfect to keep up or renew your interest in fitness while the pool keeps you cool with drinks from the bar. Drew (the host) provided excellent local suggestions like Anthony’s Cay Resort which is one mile away for diving, snorkeling, or dinner, and Sol y Mar is 1 mile the opposite way for a fun family day on the beach. West End is about 2.5 miles away and provides plenty of colorful nightlife and restaurants. Ask for Larissa (staff) to make breakfast everyday to truly make your vacation a restful and easy experience! PS. 2 of the King beds/bedrooms also have and additional twin bed if your group needs some extra space.

Amazing Experience in a One-of-a-Kind Property!

We traveled with a group of 6 adults - 3 couples - and loved our experience at Drew and Mary Lynn’s property. The house is set up perfectly for a group with a “main lodge” for hanging out, separate bedrooms with en suites for privacy as needed, a fun pool area and great sound and lighting systems throughout the property to listen to music and keep the vacation vibes going. The gym is next level. Our group has traveled all over the world and we’ve never encountered a vacation rental with a commercial quality gym - amazing! Breakfast each day felt luxurious and was delicious. The traditional Honduran dinner was outstanding and we would recommend all future visitors inquire about it! Larissa and the team did an awesome job of preparing meals and keeping the property spotless. Having our awesome driver, Abraham, on standby made the entire vacation seamless and relaxing. Finally, Drew and Mary Lynn went out of their way to help with requests and to make us feel appreciated and special through out the trip. We would all highly recommend this property without any reservation to anyone considering Roatan. You won’t regret it!

Our stay at the home was very nice. Larissa and Kenya were excellent at meeting our needs and if you stay I would strongly recommend having them cook for your party. The food they made was amazing and was honestly better than anything we had out at a restaurant! You cannot stay at this house without a car. While the ocean is within view, it is not within walking distance. While you could probably get around on your own, I felt much safer having Abe as our driver and tour guide. He was great at getting our party of 8 around the island to see some sites. He arranged a snorkeling trip that was a highlight. The House is very unique and well kept. The best views are from the dining room/living room, pool is all jungle views which are also beautiful. Others had mentioned water as an issue and we did experience this briefly but as soon as I messaged Drew the issue was immediately resolved. So this was not a problem for us and I was super happy with how quickly the staff took care of our needs. It's more like a boutique hotel than a VRBO. Thanks so much for a very enjoyable stay!!!

It’s like staying at your own resort!

This place is truly spectacular! We were a group of seven adults who traveled to Roatan for a diving vacation and we were so incredibly impressed with the Green Room Jungle Canopy! It has everything you need to enjoy your time on Roatan, along with so much more. The property really does make it feel like you're on a private resort. If its anything I can say about this property, is to hire Abraham as your driver. Our group considered driving ourselves for the longest time, but ultimately ended up hiring Abraham and it was the best decision we made! He was more than a driver, but also a concierge, tour guide and by the end of the week, our friend! Can't praise his services enough. We also very much appreciated Larissa's cooking while we were there. She accommodated an early breakfast for our group, as we were usually headed out early to scuba dive. We would always return to a clean space and even clean laundry. Our group loved hanging in the pool, cooking in the kitchen, playing games on the deck and interacting with Long John the macaw. We were each able to have our own space, which made the experience even better. 10/10 would recommend this place for your next trip to Roatan. I'm already dreaming of my next visit and can't wait to come back.

The property is something out of a dream. I have NEVER experienced something more tranquil and relaxing. The home is beautiful inside and out. When in the living room, you feel as if you are outside. My kids had the most amazing time in the pool and identifying birds, lizards, and frogs.Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a gourmet chef's fantasy. Lighting troughout is amazing. The speakers were fun for family game night.Wifi was spot on and we never had any issues with communication.Now lets get to the good stuff. Outdoor shower is phenomenal and was the perfect ending to a day at the beach.There is an outdoor gym poolside, and a legit professional gym that leaves you on an endorphin high. This gym is well planned out, clean, huge, and honestly, would make any professional gym owner envious. IFinally, we purchased the driver package, and daily breakfast and traditional Honduran meal package.The driver, Abraham is very informative, kind, and dependable.I saved the most important tidbit of information for last. Please dont cheat yourself. Spend the extra money to have Lariza cook for you. Each and every breakfast was different and phenomenal. The Honduran meal had everyone in awe. But better than her cooking, is her kind and giving spirit. She engaged with all of my children and even allowed my 9 year old daughter to help with meal prep and feeding Long John. She is a gem. I just cannot explain in words how perfect and gentle she was. We love her!

House is amazing, but the property is not run professionally. It’s not worth the price

The property and house-staff were amazing, but the owner promises too many thing he doesn’t deliver on. There was no hospitality what-so-ever in our stay. There was no greeting, orientation, or explanation of anything about the property, even though the owner was staying right next door. He had cameras constantly watching you (most likely when struggling to light grill/stove) and offered no guidance. During our week, it seemed like the owner had never briefed the staff on simple requests like our pick-up time from the airport. The owner said we were paying for a “premium water package” but the water ran out after a few days and we were told we couldn’t have more. All a bit ridiculous considering how much he charges for the week. I would not recommend staying here for the price. The property is for sale, and if someone else takes over and manages it, I’m sure they would do a better job.

Thank you for your comments Chelsea, We Understand more than half of your family/Party arrived on Roatan a day late because of severe weather conditions back in New York. Perhaps this put a dent in your mood ,but obviously we don't control the Weather or airline delays. As for your arrival greeting and orientation to the Estate, Mary Lynn herself gave your brother ,who arrived first ,the full tour and he was most appreciative and excited about the home & property!. We also provide a detailed guest information book along with a welcome gift basket. Your dedicated Fridge full of chilled bottled water was also a gift from us for your convenience and was completely complimentary with no charges to you. In reflection we recall you saying you did not want to drink out of plastic bottles so we informed you of the Zero water filter pitchers you could use instead ,not that there is any issue with our Water supply which comes from a 200 ft' deep cased well that pumps clean pure water directly out of the pristine aquifer blow our Estate. We only have active security cameras on a couple of exterior areas solely for our guests security and safety purposes . We also provided your group with a courteous & professional private security guard at the entrance to the Estate for your protection, assistance and peace of mind. Furthermore, if there was anything you needed assistance with all you had to do was what's app us at any time. We believe its very important to extend our guests with as much privacy as we possibly can during there stay at the large private Estate that functions almost like your own private resort!. Our guests comfort , satisfaction and privacy are one of our top priorities. Please remember, we also discounted your package to the tune of $1000.00 We wish you all the best. Mary Lynn & Drew

Water Shortage

While, the overall rating on the property was good, there was one thing that caused our family considerable trouble. The water situation needs remedying. Everyone in our group(10) had issues with not having any(NONE) water to brush teeth, bathe, or shave, OR the water stopped halfway thru a shower This happened daily and for a supposedly jungle paradise, this was very inconvenient and annoying. Management seemed to think that it was no big deal. We found out later that previous customers also experienced the same problem. Ownership should make people aware that there is a problem with the water supply. The breakfast package was well worth it and the 2 women(Larissa and Kenya) were outstanding. I think that a car should be noted on the website as a necessity. You need to drive to get anywhere. The driver(Abraham) was excellent and he was available at all times. He was able to guide us to many local spots and attractions.

Thank you for your constructive & helpful comments . We take our guests comfort and vacation experience very seriously. As I write this we have contracted a construction team to expeditiously build a brand new gravity driven 30,000 gallon cistern on the highest elevation point of the extensive estate property, this will completely mitigate any chance of this hiccup happening again . We have also replaced all the electronics and sensors on our deep aquifer existing well ,which immediately increased pressure. As our previous reviews attest ,we have never had any significant issues with water pressure prior to this . With a pool ,2 waterfalls ,13 total showers ,large laundry and 5 acres of landscape irrigation, its quite a large operation /production . That said we have maintained very high standards throughout our 19 year history owning & developing the beautiful Jungle Canopy estate and will continue to do so as we add even more fun amenities for our future guests . Roatan Tree House

We came with a group of 12. We called to verify that there were 6 bedrooms. They said there was, it was only a 5 bedroom. The bedroom quality varied widely. One bedroom did not have a bath you had to run down 5 stairs into the main house. Another bedroom did not have attached bathroom, it was just a toilet and vanity within the room. Several guests had to share bedrooms and bathrooms. Then on Wednesday we switched rooms so everyone had a turn being inconvenienced. The girls that came and cooked everyday were great. However all 12 guest became ill with a stomach bug and were sick for some part of the week. It appears this is a common thing for visitors to Honduras. Roatan was my least favorite trip to Caribbean. There was literally no where to walk around the area by the house. It was dusty and there was garbage all over the streets. Also the airfare was super high to get there from North Carolina, couldn't figure that out. There are many other beautiful places to go like Saint Martaan or Saint Kitts.

Just to clarify . We currently have five beautifully appointed and spacious suites ,as many previous 5 star reviews have lauded about .Three suites have double vanity and double shower enclosures , The lovely poolside cottage has a single shower bathroom en suite . and the new Over Waterfall suite is brand new and very well appointed ,has its own private terrace overlooking the Caribbean, the bathroom is literally 4 covered steps down and has a single shower and is also very nicely appointed !. In total the estate has 5 suites and access to 8 full bathrooms in total all with showers . In addition The Main roads on Roatan are currently being upgraded to first world levels ,with sidewalks and bike lanes ,and so happens the area in front of the Estate is currently where the municipality are working ,so yes a bit dusty during grading and prepping and new hardscape installation ,the slight inconvenience at the moment will see in the next month or two the completion of this stretch of brand new hi quality infrastructure completed & for this we are extremely excited and grateful . That being said the expansive treehouse cabanas and pool are set back in the Jungle canopy in the center of 4 acres of beautifully lush tropical landscaped mature gardens ( 18 years in the making ),so no impact from new road while your enjoying the very private pool and home. ((((: .

5 star Holiday Vacation

My family & I had the pleasure of staying at the Green Room Jungle Canopy Estate over Christmas week. There were 9 of us and it was one of the most unique and enjoyable experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the serene, peaceful atmosphere of the property and the breathtaking views of the jungle and ocean. The treehouse itself was amazing - spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. We especially loved the orange Christmas tree with butterflies and snowflakes! It was great having a sound system everywhere on the property to play music. My husband really liked the private Island Gym! The pool with colorful lights and plants was also incredible. We had such a great time swimming, surrounded by the natural beauty of the jungle. And let's not forget Long John, the on-site macaw, and the singing frogs - they added so much fun and excitement to our stay. We are also grateful to our host Drew and his wonderful staff - Larissa, Fanny, Abraham, and Samir - who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were always available to answer any questions. Abraham, our driver, was also fantastic, taking us on amazing tours and showing us the best spots in the area. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay or a more hospitable host. The Green Room Jungle Canopy Estate and all the upgrade amenities - limo/driver/tour guide, breakfast and housekeeping package, and traditional Honduran dinner - were truly top-notch. We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone looking for a unique, relaxing, and unforgettable vacation.

Jungle Paradise!

This Tree Mansion was a perfect get away for our group of ten. A large spacious gathering room equipped with lounge couches, large dining table, and a wrap around bar. The kitchen was gourmet with a restaurant style stove and countertops - great for our group as we enjoyed cooking together. The bedrooms were all unique and each had their own bathroom with a walk in shower and plenty of room. The cottage was perfect for the teen agers - they had their privacy and a quiet place to sleep in. The gym was huge and had every piece of equipment you would want for a great workout. The pool area was a beautiful place to lounge and relax - as were the various other sitting areas that look out over the tropical jungle. The treehouse comes with a colorful parrot "Long John" and a friendly Boxer watch dog named "Rocky" - who by the way never barked. He just hung out and enjoyed our attention (Rocky has his own house away from the treehouse should guests not appreciate dogs). We all enjoyed Rocky! The place was very well taken care of by the staff. Each morning Roberto would make coffee, cut up fresh fruit and keep things orderly and tidy. He was so friendly and kind and he was available for whatever we might need. Our transportation that Drew arranged was with Long Island Tours "Javier" - he was awesome! Javier took us all over the island during our stay. He was everything a tour guide should strive to be! He took great care of all of us! Brian was also very friendly and oversaw the entire stay to be sure all went smoothly! Definitely recommend this place!! We will be back!

AMAZING PROPERTY, HOST AND STAFF!

It’s really hard to describe what an incredible property this is! We were a group of 10 (5 couples) celebrating our wedding on the island. We chose Drew’s place after much consideration (mainly equal sleeping arrangements for couples) and could not have picked a more perfect resort for our group. It is absolutely stunning! The pictures don’t even begin to do it justice. Drew was an amazing host; super responsive and kind. Larissa and Kenya were wonderful and took care of everything, and were so sweet! And of course we can’t forget our driver, Abraham!! Having his services for the week was an absolute must; not only was he super responsive when we needed him, but he’s an awesome person (I think he had a lot of fun with us too!). We really enjoyed the privacy, and spent several days not even leaving the property at all. The speakers were great so we could play our music by the pool. We also had the girls cook us dinner for (what we thought was) our last night, and it was amazing. We wound up getting stuck on the island for two extra days due to fires on the mainland (they closed the airport), but thankfully Drew didn’t have any guests coming in immediately after us. He was so helpful and allowed us to stay two extra nights and worked with us on the extra costs. Some in our group really enjoyed the gym, and gained a lot of fitness knowledge and tips from Drew. *One side note (as our parents were initially planning to come on the trip but had to back out) - I would say if you have any mobility issues this would not be a good choice. There are A LOT of steep stairs up to the complex, and even with most of us being in relatively good shape it was a heck of a workout; especially in the heat! Book this property, you will not regret it! We will definitely return.

The staff in the home and the driver were fantastic! They were very attentive and helpful whenever we needed anything! There were some minor things in need of repair (ceiling leaks and broken faucets) that we were made aware of upon arrival, but nothing that impacted our time or enjoyment. Overall our family had a wonderful time and left with a lot of great memories! We highly recommend this place and make sure you add on breakfast and dinner with Larissa!!!

Incredible jungle house!

This property is a one of a kind. It is well thought out with each bedroom having its own entrance and bathrooms. The added cleaning and cooking for breakfast was well worth the money. We had 11 of us and did several different activities a day so our driver was a must have. He was responsive and always were we needed when we needed him. They gym was a perfect fit for us as most of used it every day. The bilingual bird and cat was a bonus!
