Condo was in a great location near the beach and pool. Enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings and evenings. Only disappointment was the pool was not open yet due to COVID.
We stayed for a week at the end of August. There were 6 of us adult family members for part of the week and 4 for the rest. The place was very clean and had everything you needed. Bedrooms were roomy enough and beds were comfortable.
We were able to walk to the beach and even some local eateries on our side of the river. Keep in mind that walking to the main downtown Manistee area involves crossing the river and the bridges are not real close. We appreciated the grill on the deck and also having a garage for one of the cars. It was hot at the end of August and we did have some trouble with keeping it cool enough upstairs at night on a couple nights.
Some of us used the indoor hot tub (outdoor one was broken) and pool, but we much prefer the beach, so we appreciated the short walk or drive to the 5th Avenue Beach parking lot.
Overall this was an excellent stay!
My family and I enjoyed staying at this property while visiting relatives in Manistee. The kids (2,11,13) enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing on the playground. It was a close walk to the beach, downtown shops/restaurants, and Farmer's Market! I'm a Keurig coffee lover and would have enjoyed having a Keurig in addition to (or instead of) the drip coffee maker - and a few extra bathroom & kitchen towels would have been nice (we were allotted exactly one per person/one kitchen towel) but we made it work w/o much difficulty. We cooked several meals and the kitchen had most everything we needed! We also really enjoyed hanging out on the patio; the sleeping arrangements were comfortable too. I'd be happy to stay here again the next time we visit!
The place was clean, location to the beach and downtown was great, I had a question and received a quick and helpful response which was appreciated.
We had a nice stay, enjoyed our time but we were quite surprised to walk in the door and see how small the place is. The pictures online are deceiving, we thought it would be bigger. We were expecting three more to join us, I was relieved when they had to cancel. The four of us were comfortable but it would not have been if they joined us. Sleeping arrangements would have been a problem. The two BR with queen beds were nice but the third bedroom was only adequate for maybe a couple of small kids.
Check out time is early, required to strip beds, gather all towels, take out trash, do the dishes, text when you leave, put the deck in order...while also trying to get yourselves ready and packed to leave by 10am.
This may be fine for some, but we were on vacation and I didn't care for the early wake up time on our last day.
I wouldn't mind the cleaning up, but why did we pay a cleaning fee! There wasn't much left for them to do.
For the amount that is charged for rental (which I feel is overpriced for the space), I'm certain they could supply a clean and updated coffee pot and toaster. The shower curtain in the second bathroom really needs to be replaced (not washed, replaced). The TV in the master bedroom was useless.
With a few changes, I would recommend this place but NOT for 7 people unless 3 are small children.
The condo and location definitely exceeded my expectations. The condo is clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, in an awesome location on the canal and only a short walk to the beautiful Fifth Avenue Beach. I had never been to Manistee before, but I will definitely go back. Thank you for the awesome vacation!
Thank you for sharing your Condo it's very nice. I stayed in the one next door to your property two years ago. We had a great time and I would love to rent it again next year around the same time if possible.
