This three bedroom/one bath home is a peaceful little gem close to downtown Minden and Caney Lake State Park, which offers swimming, boating and fishing opportunities! It is centrally located to the surrounding areas as follows:
- 8 mins from - Caney Lakes Recreation Area
- 5 mins from Downtown Minden
-20 mins from Haughton
-25 mins from Bossier City
-35 mins from Shreveport
-30 mins from Ruston (LA Tech campus).

Sleeping arrangements:
-Two of the bedrooms have queen sized beds.
-the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed (see pics).
-All the beds and furniture in this home were purchased new for the airbnb, along with new mattresses and 100% cotton bedding. All beds have duvet covers which get laundered after EVERY stay.

Things to Do:

Caney Lakes Recreation Area:
- bring your own boat and equipment/gear to explore Caney Lakes or rent from Pleasure Point Bayou Dorcheat Rentals (lifejackets and paddles included in rental -info below). Picnic and fish by the lake while the kids play at the sandy beach area. The park has the usual picnic tables and camping area style grills available, or bring your portable grill
- Frisbee golf-18 hole disc golf course
--visit nearby Kisatchie National Forest and hike some of the following trails:
--the 5.6 mile loop Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail which offers scenic, forested trails and lakeside views. Daily parking fee of $5.
--Wild Azalea Trail, spanning over 28 miles
-consider booking our place to enjoy the conveniences of home while others in your group camp and hike-you're only 8 mins away!

- Go antiquing! Minden is a treasure-trove of antique shops!

- Golf at the Pine Hills Country Club (9 mins) or- Lake view Golf Course with views of Lake Bistineau (33 mins)

- Visit Lake Bistineau State Park(29 mins), a favorite fishing spot for bass, crappie and catfish. Fish from the shore or rent a boat.

-We allow 2 dogs maximum per visit. No cats or are permitted due to allergies.
-Please be aware while we have a fenced-in area, pets can easily escape as it is not flush to the ground.
-We do not have pet supplies, so please bring anything you may need along with you.
-We have leather sofas, so please bring a blanket for your pets, if you want them to sit next to you on the couch and a crate for them for when you're out, or for during the night
-We have leash laws in Minden, so pets must remain on leashes and/or be supervised within the fenced area. Dogs are brought at your own liability/risk and are not to remain unattended on the property unless kenneled, or on a leash or chain within the fenced area.
