We had a wonderful family vacation shared by 3 generations. The condo and location couldn't have suited are needs any better. The unit was clean and spacious giving us plenty of room across 3 floors. High Chair and pack and play were provided for our 1 year old. Denise was very responbsive to all our needs. And the location was super, steps from a large clean communal pool and less than a 2 min walk from the ocean and world renown beach on paradise island. Will definitely look to return Thank you
Our family took this trip to Paradise Island, Bahamas as a graduation trip for our daughter and our family vacation. Our trip was wonderful, from the weather to the villa to the food and the people. Cabbage beach was even prettier than the pictures and most days we had the beach to ourselves.
Enjoyable week at this condo - found the outside storage on the second day which was full of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc, which made going to the beach very enjoyable. Property was a bit more outdated than what I expected but the location (situated in between the pool and the beach) more than made up for it.
We have a fantastic time at this property located just steps away from Cabbage Beach! We had 4 adults and 2 children (ages 1 & 4) and had plenty of room and a fully stocked house with everything that we needed. Denise was very communicative & very easy to work with. Reading previous reviews, it sounded like the washer & dryer did not work but they both looked very new and worked just fine for us. The listing description & photos of the house and beach were very accurate. Our stay there did not disappoint! We grocery shopped at a local grocery store and stocked the house with everything we needed to cook meals there. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again!
Our family really enjoyed the stay. The location for the amazing beach is wonderful. It's on the same ocean front as the Four Seasons. The Villa is a little outdated but the location was worth it for us. Nice pool too. Felt safe with the gates and guard at night. We enjoyed it !
Yes, all of the previous reviews are true but overall clean and functional. I believe the upper balcony furniture was replaced but we didn't try/used it, we stayed at the main level only.
The location is amazing and we really enjoyed it overall.
My family of 5 (kids 11,13,16) stayed 7 nights. This townhome had everything we needed. The location hands down is amazing. It is like we had our own private beach a few steps away from our front door. We felt safe, the grounds are green and lush and the pool was clean and refreshing. The kitchen was stalked with everything we needed to prepare our own meals. The bedrooms were spacious- enough room for clothes and luggage. The living room furniture is more decorative rather than âcomfyâ but this didnât bother us at all. Everything we needed for the beach was provided and easily located by the front door. Denise the property manager checked in on us frequently making sure we were okay and everything was going well. Denise recommended a taxi service that worked with us via text. They helped us with all of our transportation needs, they were timely and budget friendly. I am so happy I found this town home on VRBO- I wanted to go to the Bahamas but it needed to be budget friendly - this townhome was half the price of a hotel for a family of 5, plus cooking meals at home saved us tons (I brought all of our dry goods from home). Highly recommend.
The location was fantastic with communal pool & beautiful beach on your doorstep.
The property itself was very spacious. We knew it was dated from the photos but could definitely do with an update. It would have been nice to be able to use the furniture on the top balcony but it was all broken. The washing machine is pretty impossible to use with it not working properly & when you do get it going it leaves the washing dripping wet even after an extra spin. Donât bother using the dryer as it doesnât dry at all! The communal pool & grounds were very well kept.
The supermarkets are ridiculously expensive. We found Super Value on Mackey Street that was the cheapest.
Eating out wasnât great unless you like burgers or fried food and, again, very expensive. Service is very slow. Not laid back slow but quite rude in customer service kind of slow. No one seems very happy.
Denise the host is fantastic. The communication & availability was excellent.
We had a wonderful and memorable family vacation here!
The location is great! Its a small gated condo community between the Paradise island beach club and the Four seasons resort. Just far enough from the major resorts to avoid the crowds but close enough to enjoy the amenities. There is a mini mart and a restaurant/bar a short walk down the street but you'll want to go over the bridge for any larger grocery needs.
The condo is the closest unit to the pool and only about 50 yards from the beach access deck which is also gated. It has a patio out back with a charcoal grill that is in good condition. They also have lots of beach chairs, an umbrella and beach toys.
When we were there the stairs to the beach were very steep and had small treads. They would have been very hard to navigate for elderly or small children. It seemed like a temporary solution and on our last day it looked like some new stairs were going to be installed so they could be better now. Its worth checking with the owner if that is a concern.
The condo itself could use some maintenance. One of the couches was a little broken but usable, 2 of the 3 lounge chairs were broken, and the screws for the beds on the 3rd floor kids room all needed to be tightened before they were usable. Also, while there is a washer/dryer they are very small and also do not work well. The washer is very hard to get started and the dryer takes about 2 hours to dry the cloths.
I hope they invest in some needed updates but all in all we loved our stay in paradise!
Our family of 6 stayed at this property for a week in July. The best amenity of this property is the beautiful beach and crystal clear water! The property is located in a gated community and just steps from the beach. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We did rent a van. I recommend Sand Dollar Car rental. It was suggested to us by the property owner. They were extremely easy to work with and much cheaper than renting from a rental at the airport. They will drop off your vehicle and pick it up from the airport. Just a heads up, everything on the island is expensive. The grocery store food prices are extremely high compared to the US. But still cheaper than eating out every night. We did find a local restaurant only a few minutes away called Violas. Itâs located at a resort. We ate there 3 times! The food was delicious and the prices were good. Make sure to bring all of your essentials, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap. There are plenty of towels at the house. Coffee filters also there, bring coffee so you donât have to buy. The pool is really nice, however, in July itâs extremely hot and the water was not refreshing. The kids did swim in the evenings but just very hot water. There isnât a lot to do here as far as activities, but the beach itself is amazing and thatâs where we spent most of our time. I suggest taking goggles and snorkels to see fish right off the beach. Would definitely come back here again!!!
We had such a great time staying at Deniseâs condo! The location was amazing with the beach only a few steps away. The condo was perfect for my family of 5 as it allowed each of my teenagers to have their own bed and plenty of room for all of us. We were able to cook breakfast each morning and make our own dinners when we wanted to limit our cost in the Bahamas! Denise was extremely helpful with everything we needed and also helped us to find the best rental car so that everything was seamless.
The location is perfect because the area is quiet, yet we had easy access to the beach, the attractions, and good food options. There is a very good restaurant and a store next door that provides the essentials. The lookout over the beach is perfect to watch the sunset in the evenings. We even played charades one evening as a family in the lookout area as we listened to the waves and watched the sunset! We felt like we had the beach to ourselves on many days because the crowds of people from the Atlantis area donât come up that way. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Denise!!!
Location is great. Steps from the water. Walk to Atlantis. A little dated but who cares when you are directly beside the pool and steps from the beach. Three floors with two bedrooms on second and one on third (one of the twin beds is super hard if you need that for your back). We walked to Four Seasons for lunch and had a cute little bar next door-Cabbage Beach Bistro and Market. Also a small convenience store. We rented a van so I canât rate transportation. Plenty of linens and beach towels. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided.
What a wonderful place and location. The condo was well equipped with everything you and lots of little amenities you wont find in some of the more sterile rentals. Full gated access made us feel very secure coming and going. The beach was right there, easy access with places to wash off sand. The pool was wonder on some days when we just wanted cool off or chill. It was perfect for a nice escape. Easy walk to many restaurant.
We stayed on this property for 8 days on March 26, 3 adult and 2 children. The house is big and everything we needed was on site. The kitchen is well equipped, and the only thing missing are a few chef knives, but itâs not my first villa and I had brought a good one. Nothing fancy inside but has the Caribbean charm we expected. The beach is absolutely beautiful, quiet, away from the Riu tourist zoo and very close to the property. A good spot for snorkelling at the end of the beach, close to the golf. The pool was also quiet and a good spot to finish the day. Not a lot in the area but exactly what we were looking for. Denise has been very helpful, receptive and accommodating to our demand. Would definitely recommend.
The property, as many others have said is dated. The floor in the master creaks like a 100 year old house and the washer/dryer are very small and need to be replaced.
That being said the villa was spacious and the location allowed you to walk anywhere on Paradise Island within 15 min or so. Right next to the pool and 50 yards to beach.
The current/undertow at the beach are very strong and would be risky for small children as I saw no less than a dozen adults knocked off their feet over the week.
For those who want to golf the course is close by and has some of the most spectacular views.
It was a perfect location for our relaxing family time together! Cabbage beach is absolutely amazing
It was a great location, beautiful area.
Two things that I would suggest that would be nice, is to have the villa updated!
1.Furniture, interior design, decor, appliances were out dated.
2. the window screens were broken and torn.
otherwise it was wonderful for our time together!
Came for a week with the intention of spending a lot of time at Atlantis which is walking distance but one day at the park was enough with such easy access to the beach, snorkeling and clear waters. Denise was very helpful before and during our stay organizing taxis and advising on grocery store! The property is a little older but very well equipped ! Not shortage of cooking utensils, towels, beach towels and other beach accessories! The lumpy mattress mentioned in a previous review has been replaced! I hope we get to return some day!
The property location is idealâŠThe beach is beautiful, the pool is ok. The Villa is dated and the master bedroom needs help. The bed is extremely uncomfortableâŠI slept on the floor, no lie. The A/C in the master does nothing.
Thank goodness for the beach but, everyone can use that as a sell pointâŠ
This is a lovely property. We enjoyed the conversations we had with all the residents, who gave us great advise on making our visit even better! The large pool, is very clean and well maintained. The fabulous beach is indeed a few steps away!
My husband and I enjoyed our week March 26 to Apr 3 2022 very much, except there are three items the owner needs to address...
1) The master bedroom's king size bed is the worst ever! My husband and I could not sleep in this bed after the first night! We had to move to one of the other bedrooms and sleep in the twin beds, We do not want minimize how terrible this mattress is! To us, this is a deal breaker!!
2) The plumbing should be checked. The bath tub on the second floor did not drain water. I had a shower Sunday March 27th and the shower water had not drained, even a bit, by our departure date of Apr 3rd - six days later! We give credit to Denise, the property manager (who was excellent and very responsive), offering to bring in a plumber and fix it immediately. Since we were on holiday, we really didn't want workmen around. So... this is a note to the next renter, to inquire if this issue has been fixed!
3) A final observation and suggestion to the owner - maybe invest in some new bedding - the 20 year (at least) Ikea duvet cover & pillow cases in the Master bedroom, should be updated. We know the age of this bedding since we have photos of our three year old son on our bed, with with exactly the same Ikea set!! Our son was with us on this vacation... he is now 28!!
Overall, the price being charged was not worth it because of the substandard Master bed and bedding... sounds petty, but hotels live and die by the quality of their beds! Too bad because everything else about this property was excellent!!!
Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, room to spread out with kitchen, pool and beach access. Close proximity to Atlantis. Home could definitely use some updates but overall we loved every minute of our stay!
