Nestled in the woods with beautiful views of the Penobscot River, Two Cottages on the River sleeps comfortably up to 12 guests and offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and coastal adventure. Enjoy easy scenic drives to favorite seaside destinations such as Camden, Rockport, Belfast, Bar Harbor, Stonington, and Acadia National Park, then return home to unwind away from the crowds and tourist bustle. The Space
This spacious and serene retreat is ideal for families or close friends. Begin your mornings with coffee on your private deck surrounded by nature and river views and end your evenings stargazing under clear night skies. These two thoughtfully designed cottages can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests comfortably.
The cottages offer plenty of space for gathering both indoors and outdoors and are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort. Each kitchen features beautiful quartzite countertops, ample cabinet storage, and is fully equipped for preparing meals. They are stocked with coffee, tea, creamer, sweeteners, salt and pepper, cooking oil, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, and basic cleaning supplies to help you settle in with ease.
The living rooms and bedrooms are equipped with Vizio Smart TVs, six in total, allowing you to stream your favorite shows through major apps such as YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu using your personal accounts.
Each bedroom features comfortable gel memory foam mattresses and is outfitted with four quality pillows in both medium and firm options. The property includes five queen beds and one queen pull-out sofa, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for all guests.
Bathrooms are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and toilet paper. Each cottage also includes a modern stackable washer and dryer with laundry pods and fabric softener sheets provided.
Outside, guests can enjoy propane grills and on the deck firepits with fuel supplied, along with a wood-burning fire pit stocked with logs and fire starters for your first fire. Private decks, lawn areas, and yard games create the perfect setting for relaxing and spending time together.
If you are interested in kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding, rentals are available just ten minutes away through Skyline Maine Adventures at the Hampden Marina. After your time on the water, Kimberly’s at the Marina offers a great menu or Marsh Island Kitchen which is brand new and just up the street. Both have plenty of space for your group.
We take great pride in offering our newly renovated cottages that are clean, and comfortable with a relaxed decorated coastal feel, along with attentive, high-quality hospitality. Whether you are spending time together at the cottages or returning after exploring Maine’s beautiful seaside towns, we want your stay to be seamless and enjoyable. We live nearby and are always available if you need anything during your stay.
Other Things to Note
Each cottage can also be rented separately. Please explore our other Airbnb listings if you are interested in booking for a smaller group. One well-behaved dog per cottage is welcome. Ample parking is available on the property.
Cottage on the Cove is equipped with mini-split systems for air conditioning and River Retreat features window air-conditioning units to keep you comfortable during warmer months.
Guests have full access to both cottages, private decks, yard games, grills, and lawn areas. The only restricted areas are the garage and a few locked storage cupboards.
Please note that the Penobscot River is known for strong tidal currents that can be swift and hazardous. For safety and insurance reasons, direct river access from the property is not permitted.

• No smoking or vaping. A deep cleaning fee will be charged if there is any evidence of smoking.
• No parties or events.
• Registered guests only please.
• Please use the black towels for removing makeup - white towels will stain.
• Please keep dogs off beds and couches
• Please pick up after your dog, no waste left in yard
• Don`t leave pets unattended in the cottages if they may bark excessively or cause damage
• Please take all bagged trash to the enclosed bins near the parking area.
• Do not leave anything loose in cans.
• Please only flush the toilet paper we provide. We’re on a septic system, and other items (Kleenex, wipes, feminine products, paper towels, grease etc.) can cause very costly issues. Thank you!
• River access - direct river access from the property is not allowed due to insurance restrictions.
• Damages / maintenance - if something breaks or isn’t working properly, please let us know right away so we can fix it for the next guest.
