The Tabacalera neighborhood has its origin in 1898 when a tobacco factory that was established near the center of the city and the surroundings began to be occupied by the workers of this factory; This is why it gets its name.
In 1898 the Plaza de la RepĂșblica was inaugurated and the construction of the new Legislative Palace began, an unfinished project that would later become the iconic Monument to the Revolution, where the National Museum of the Revolution is located.

* Theater of the Republic
* Jiménez Rueda Theater
The neighborhood can be easily explored on foot or by bicycle and you can move around all the streets and its neighboring neighborhoods such as La Condesa, La Roma, Juårez, Centro Histórico and Cuauhtémoc.
