New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

The sun 'always' rises over O'Sun. This spectacular home is located on a quiet oceanfront cul-de-sac with panoramic views of surf, sand, and sun from the multi-decking and indoor levels. The ground level has plenty of parking and an easy entrance. Clean, fillet, and grill your catch of the day at the built-in fish cleaning station. Move into the ground level with bedroom one with two sets of bunks, washer/dryer area, and a half bath. People of all ages enjoy hanging out in the den with a pool table and TV/DVD, along with a second full-size fridge. Sun lights the second level's two oceanfront main queen suites, each with deck access. Additional bedroom four with two singles with access to the half bath and entry den complete the mid-level. Heading up to the third level is a cozy window seat with a “sensational” view! Off the top level is the spacious great room with views of the ocean and access to the sun deck. The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area flows perfectly over to the furnished screened porch with views of the ocean and star-lit nights. Oceanfront main queen bedroom five offers an ocean view and private sun deck access. Step up to the tower for an expansive ocean view in a room for “sea” filled thoughts or play-filled nights. Ocean fun? O'Sun!

Things to know:
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.

Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Family fun

Our family enjoyed staying at O’Sun. Easy access to beach and just a short walk to Avon Pier. The house was clean and convenient for families.

Good location

The house is in a great location time for some updates. The shower curtains were very nasty and moldy and needed to be replaced. One bath tub would not drain water which was gross. besides that the house was very clean.

The view is great! The house is still in need of major repairs as I reported after our stay last year. Nothing has changed. We choose not to stay here again.

Amazing beach view !

Absolutely amazing direct beach view right from the top two decks of the house. You can see the Avon pier and there is a walk over the dunes right next to the house. On the second day we were there we saw the national park service excavate a sea turtle nest and bring out three live baby sea turtles. Hard to start a beach vacation better than that. Even on the one rainy day of the trip, we got to take advantage of the hot tub and an amazing reading nook with a window directly overlooking the beach as well. Would absolutely recommend this house and we’ll be coming back.

Wouldn’t go back

The location was great for getting in the beach, but everything inside was pretty old. The hot tub couldn’t hold temperature and the dining room table was a soft push from falling apart.

It’s nice with an amazing view. Windows need replaced in the stairway. Causing mold. Walkway to the beach needs fixed but that’s the city’s issue. The cottage had everything we needed. It was a good time.

Comfortable with a beautiful view

Great location, and a perfect view. Had everything we needed. Comfortable for all. A little weathered and worn in a couple spots, but the overall impression is fantastic. Clean. Large rooms. Plenty of games. Never at a loss for things to do. Enjoyed the beach every day, along with the hot tub and grilling. Also a great location for biking and running. Even made it to putt putt golfing and go-carts nearby. Highly recommended.

Steps to beach on a cul-de-sac,very roomy,some wear and tear as expected on a beach house.only negatives were no hose around to fill the hot tub and no instructions for the t.v. as we are not electrically inclined.

House needs Some TLC

Great location. House needs some updates. Kitchen floor is in serious need of repair. Cockroaches found in various rooms throughout the home. The screened in porch is in need of repair. Door knobs are rusty. Overall the house needs a thorough cleaning.

Maintenance

We loved the location and layout/size of the property. The cleanliness was terrible. The company is refunding our cleaning fee. Mildew/mold on all the vents, had to move the couch to kill the “waterbug”(looked like a cockroach to us) to find complete filth. Food, caprisuns, marijuana, dog food. You name it, we found it. We decided to clean the place ourselves. Mildew on the shower curtains.

Nice, but needs a BIG update

This was and is a lovely oceanfront home in Avon. Still quite comfortable, but very worn. This house needs an update, torn up floors, old furniture, old and stained window treatments, windows swollen shut, no screens on most windows, screen doors almost inoperable, appliances are old, especially the range, and the deck railings very weak The decor is ok, but 20 to 25 years old. We stayed here 20 years ago, so we know how nice it used to be. Really sad. The ocean views are wonderful, you can't beat the ocean. This house needs to be brought back to the way it was. Vacasa staff was very helpful with problems we had. Management was great.

Fantastic location, plenty of room

The location was great: about a mile from the grocery store and a short walk to the pier. The layout was nice with several rooms featuring private bathrooms. We were pleasantly surprised that the house came with linens and towels. I had ordered from a linen rental service (as was required in all my prior beach rentals) only to find that the beds were all bed and each room was provided with two sets of bath towels. The home is older and could use some upgrades but it's a beach house that I'm sure suffers a lot of abuse between the sand, kids, and salt air. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with a large inventory of cookware and utensils. Some of the cookware and tableware needed to be washed before using but that is likely the fault of prior guests rather than housekeeping staff. Besides a pool table, there are lots of board games, puzzles, and books for rainy days.

House was more dated than pictures showed, but overall the house was good for us. However checking in and the cleaning crew were not good at all. They occupied the house over an hour after we were suppose to be able to have it without being notified as stated. We had purchased $500 worth of groceries for a house of 10 that we had to figure out what to do with and as they left they neglected to mention our extra towels were in the bin they dropped with dirty linens on top. We purchased towels for the week.

The house is in need of major repairs and updates.

Upon our arrival, we immediately were confronted with an unappealing look. There were broken screens all over the house and the trash can smelled of death. Walked into the kitchen and there was a dead cockroach on the floor. The house is very outdated. Some of the furniture had a musty smell. We tried to clean the night before we left but the vacuums did not work great and one smelled TERRIBLE. Couldn’t event use it. The main living space was where we hung out the most because it was the cleanest area. Pleased with the amount of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. Only great thing about this house is the location. We will not be staying at this property again.

Disappointing..."fine."

The location of the rental was spot-on. The condition of the rental was not. Several issues: we were not able to get into our unit until 5pm the day we arrived, we pulled in to a "your water will be shut off due to non-payment" notice (this was addressed and taken care of), a cockroach was found in one of the bedrooms, there is a lack of bedroom garbage cans, non-working televisions (this took 2 phone calls to be addressed and fixed), broken and outdated furniture throughout the house, the unit needs a longer hose to wash off sandy chairs and toys, the gas grill is really disgusting (couldn’t be used at all) and the charcoal grill is hidden in an obstacle course of cacti and foliage of the dune. It was “fine.” We stayed there this year, but will not choose it again.
