Amazing 7 Br house with inground pool.

White Bear is a 2-story house with a BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE POOL! There's 7 bedrooms, outdoor seating, eat-in kithcne dining area, and a grill (charcoal). There are 2 front porches and a large paved area on the back of the house. After a beach day and cool pool dip, enjoy evening breezes in the rocking chairs of the covered upstairs porch. Sorry, POOL CANNOT BE HEATED.

Plenty of parking and motorcycles/trailers are allowed. Parking capacity varies based on size of vehicles or additional trailers, but generally, 6 cars would fit in the driveway/grassy back side of the house. It's just steps to the beach, but also a great option to rent a local golf-cart and enjoy cruising around with the kids or grandparents, to get ice cream, or the neighborhood park. Within a few blocks you will easily find mini-golf, restaurants, bars, beach stores, ice cream shops, downtown Main Street, local marinas and local parks.

This 5000 square foot home has a downstairs kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are on multi-levels, w/ an interior stairway joining the two floors.
The interior offers a fully-equipped kitchen, making meals a great family experience. Full sized washer & dryer in the walk-in laundry room. Just steps out the front door and the beach is across Ocean Blvd. to the white sandy shores. White Bear is a wonderful private oasis with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay.

Great week at Myrtle

Having the pool to at the house was great. The location within North Myrtle was very convenient...walk to the beach, private enough, close in driving to all attractions. Very nice house to spend the week at Myrtle.

Excellent Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our entire family had the best vacation, staying at the White Bear House! I was so surprised at exactly how close the house was to the actual beach and ocean. It is literally right across the street. We watched the sun come up over the ocean every morning. The pool was everything, we had 7 adult children and 3 grandchildren staying with us. We brought an outdoor movie projector and watched movies in the evenings while in the pool. Because we all drove separately, we ended up bringing way too much with us. I highly recommend using Instacart for all your groceries. The store were absolutely packed on Saturday, as that was check-in day for most people.

Perfect Location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a perfect location. We came down in a few groups and had people all around us both directions. The home was not as clean and maintained as it should have been. The oven handle was loose when we got there and it only had a few towels in each bathroom and the bathrooms and floors could have been a lot cleaner. The pool area could have been cleaner as well. WE SEEN 3 ROACHES. That's nasty. Overall it was ok, however I'd look for something different next time with all 5 star reviews instead.

Problems

Pool wasn’t clean when we got there, red ants were all over the pool area & out front where we parked our vehicles. The ice maker did not work so we had to buy bagged ice all week long. Don’t sit outside at night on the bottom floor, a family member of mine was shot in the eye buy a pellet gun when a vehicle drove by. Emergency services & law enforcement were involved.

My only complaints are that to get upstairs you have to go outside which makes it tough when a family is staying together. Also, one of the upstairs bedrooms had no bathroom except to go into another bedroom to get to it. This was hard because you may wake up or interrupt someone.

The pool was wonderful and a lot of outside sitting areas. I would recommend for the owner to purchase more cooking ware. The biggest issue we had was the roaches!!!!! Also the plumbing needs updating. We would love to return but only if the bugs are gone and plumbing is updated.

White Bear House - Myrtle Beach, SC

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, Myrtle Beach has changed dramatically since our last visit, but this is of no fault to the property/property managers. However, upon our arrival, which was after the official check in time, I was told our property was ready and watched a gentleman "call" to verify. We were told to head to the house. When we got there, the cleaners were still there. I called back, spoke to a gentleman who put me on hold, then verified that the cleaners were "just finishing up" and gave permission to enter the house. We began unloading our vehicles, keep in mind that this house sleeps 16 people, and as we made our first trip into the house, we startled the cleaners, who acted as though they had no idea we were coming yet and said they needed another 1.5 hours in order to finish. We had to take all of our belongings back out of the house. I attempted to call back to the property management company, who let my call go to voicemail. It was close to 5pm by that point, so I did not want to call their after hours with this, but I left a message detailing the situation, and asking for a return call. No one ever called me back. I understand that many businesses are struggling with hiring staff and if they needed more time, I wish they would have just told me that up front, instead of lying to me, twice. I was not impressed.I would have given 1 star for the question regarding the property management company's professionalism, but my first phone call when booking was answered by a friendly, knowledgeable woman.

2021 vacation

We had a wonderful stay even though we had couple of major issues. They were addressed immediately. The staff was helpful patient and friendly. The house and pool were everything we needed for a great family vacation.

Great location

This is a nice house in a great location. It is a very short walk across the street to the beach, where we spent almost every evening. They could do a better job of cleaning and changing the shower curtains. If you are a bigger person, the toilets are tough to sit down on. Overall we had a great week there with family and friends.

Suggestion, A larger refrigerator downstairs, a larger grill they both were ok but for 19 people, who cooked everyday it was only ok. Bathroom fixtures especially the shower faucets need updating.
