Bournecoast are delighted to introduce MOONGATE, a delightful chalet bungalow offering three bedrooms, a generously sized lounge/diner, two shower rooms and a beautifully landscaped garden complete with a summer house. Ideally situated in a quiet residential street in Christchurch, the property is just a short drive from the historic town centre with its array of shops, cafes and restaurants, the picturesque Christchurch Harbour, as well as the sandy beaches of Southbourne.

THE ACCOMMODATION:
This unique property features three bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a King Size Bed, boasts a Juliet balcony and an ensuite shower room with a double shower cubicle and toilet. The shower room is a Jack and Jill design with additional access from the hallway. The second bedroom is a quadruple room, comprising of two Single Beds and a Day Bed (which has a pull-out bed to create a Double Sofa Bed). This room also benefits from sliding doors that lead to a balcony. The third bedroom is a Twin Bedroom with a set of bunk beds, please note the bottom bunk is a low profile bed.

There is a generously sized lounge/diner, the lounge area boasts a 75" SMART TV and FREE WIFI is available for holiday lets (subject to availability from Internet Service Provider).

From the dining area there are sliding doors which lead to the garden.

Off the dining area is the separate kitchen which is equipped with an ELECTRIC HOB - TWO ELECTRIC OVENS - AIR FRYER - DISHWASHER - AMERICAN FRIDGE/FREEZER - MICROWAVE.

There is also a utility room, complete with a WASHING MACHINE.

For added convenience there is a second shower room on the ground floor with a shower cubicle and a toilet.

This chalet bungalow boasts a beautiful garden which combines a lawn and a patio area with garden seating, along with a charming summer house for you to enjoy. There is off road parking in the driveway for up to three cars.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This accommodation has a HAIRDRYER for guests to use. There is a Doorbell Camera device at the front of the property. Linen & towels included for holiday lets are provided by the owner. EPC Grade - C. One fully house trained dog is accepted. Strictly families only (no stag/hen/other parties) - this property is located in a quiet residential area. GAS/ELECTRIC - INCLUDED.

THE LOCAL AREA:
Christchurch Quay, only a short drive away, is a popular destination offering riverside walks, a park, cafe, the Boathouse Restaurant, a bandstand, childrens play area, and an exciting water play park with interactive features including water jets, sprays, pumps, channels, sluices and a paddling pool. From the Quay, you can also enjoy ferry trips during the summer months (weather permitting) to Wick, Mudeford Sandbank and Hengistbury Head. The historic town of Christchurch itself is full of charm, with a bustling high street offering shops, convenience stores, supermarkets and a weekly market. You will also find a wide selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. The River Stour, which runs behind the property, stretches for 64 miles and is largely followed by the scenic Stour Valley Way, perfect for those who enjoy riverside walks and exploration. For nature lovers, St Catherines Hill is close by, a 35-hectare area of heathland and forest, popular for walking, hiking and mountain biking, and home to a wide range of wildlife species. A short drive away is Southbourne Beach offering golden sands and a relaxed seaside atmosphere, while nearby Southbourne Grove is home to an excellent variety of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. For more extensive shopping and entertainment, Bournemouth town centre is only a short drive away, offering high street stores, tourist attractions and vibrant nightlife. This is a lovely house, a really good space and it was a great place to base ourselves from for a family event taking place at the weekend. We did have an issue with the oven but all credit to the owner who supported with finding an electrician quickly and ensuring that we could eat dinner.I would have rated 4 stars but we had one issue with the property and I think the hosting could be better.I have deducted 1 star because NONE of the bathroom locks worked! The upstairs bathroom has 2 doors so it is both 'en suite' AND it is also shared. The downstairs bathroom is a full shower room. The fact than none of the door locks worked meant that everyone was on edge while using the bathroom. We stayed for an extended family gathering so it was a big negative for us that none of the group could use the bathroom without some edge of stress that someone may walk in at any moment.I have also deducted 1 star because I believe that in a 5* property you should feel 'hosted'. Simple things like providing a welcome pack with a couple of dishwasher tablets, a dishcloth, a small carton of milk etc would make a big difference to people being able to relax in the property. I also think the cleaners can strip the beds rather than it being on me to rush around to do this as we are leaving the property. These small details are important because they define how relaxing the stay is.This property can definitely be a 5* property with just a little more effort.
