Disappointed overall

We only stayed 3 of our 5 booked nights. Very noisy above and on one side of condo, constant loud music playing. Concerned with upstairs condo door taped and off its hinges. Looked like Shipwatch Property not taken care of. Sign at pool says open from dawn to dusk, although noisy with people past dusk. Condo showed age metal rusting, shower and bathrooms sinks, chips in floor tile.Would not use Vacasa or stay there again.

Terrible Stay

This is without a doubt the worse trip I’ve done with a VRBO property. The listing/advertising is quite misleading. To begin with the listing indicates that we have one parking space with the unit. Not true. The closest I could park to our unit was about 100+ yards. Next there are no luggage carts to help you unload your luggage and packages. The outside temperature hovered around 90* to 93* and we had to handle carry all of our stuff. Then we needed to take the stuff up four floors on the elevator, then walk down a set of stairs carrying the luggage to the unit. Next the WIFI was terrible. Again the advertising said the unit had streaming capability. It did not. When I tried to contact the local representative , they would only communicate via text. Never by phone/voice. And then the text we received back supposedly addressing the issue never worked. The ice maker in the unit was broken. The local resource claimed they were unaware of that. However there were two small ice cube trays in the freezer. Clearly they knew about the problem as they had the placed the ice cube trays in the freezer before we arrived. We are truly unset with our stay. I feel the owners of this unit should reach out to us to discuss our stay.

Loved the condo. Only two issues: too hot to go out except early morning and late afternoon. There are a number of electric outlets that won’t work. Made it difficult to charge devices.

Luggage cart

There are no luggage carts on this property. I was on the top floor and had to make 6 trips to bring all my stuff up. I'm older and have a dog. For the price I paid you should have carts. I broke a bottle of wine carrying it up with my stuff. There should be a bigger tv in the living room.

Almost Heaven!

The condominium was beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we might need during our stay. The view was spectacular and we spent lots of time on our porch and in the comfortable chairs at the front windows. It was a perfect spot for our dog, both inside and out on the gorgeous property. We hope to visit this condominium again very soon!

The week at 1354D Shipwatch

The property was just as described in the pictures. I love the fact that this property owner is dog friendly. We were able to enjoy our vacation with our pup with us. The whole property is beautiful and the beach is not crowded with people. I sat on the balcony a lot over looking the pool and the ocean. Even though this time of year is hot, as the afternoon came the breeze picked up and it was just lovely. We totally enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

Great view, spacious condo

This condo had a great view and tons of room with a great patio area. The condo is a little dated with shower nozzles that only hit your head and a dishwasher that is in need of repair. Having laundry in the condo was great and we would recommend this property for a family or a couple

Only drawback

I didn't notice this in the caption of the property, if it is mentioned, my mistake. The elevator landing spot is between floors. So it would go to floor D, but that meant you still had to travel up or down stairs to reach your room. Not a deal breaker for my family, but if you had elderly people or anyone in a wheelchair, it would be inconvenient.

Nice Place

Very nice place and location. Only complaint was NO COFFEE MAKER. I had to go buy one. Seven steps getting to our room were no big deal. We would definitely go back and take our coffee maker. Great pool area and views.

Meet requirements, but could use some updates.

The vents were disgusting!!!! Black , moldy gross, shower rods rusted out, paint literally coming off ceiling, lamps master did not work . WIFI unplugged, mAster bedroom ceiling fan broke, unable to use, phones disconnected, minimum towels, pots and pans kinda gross, needs to be updated, coffee pot, linens and pillows needs to be upgraded. Curtains were severely old. Front door was chipped and water leak in ceilings 
 just not what was expected.

A state of slow decay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second trip to Shipwatch, at this rental. The rental and the setting are beautiful, and they are dog friendly. I do have a few concerns. The condo seems to be in an overall state of decay. The dishwasher shelves go off track every time you manage to slide them out. You have to fight to get them back on track. The oven sets off the fire alarm.(Sorry neighbors) The toaster only works if you hold the button down. On a bright note, the fridge is new. The air returns are in a serious need of cleaning. Something I am sure goes above the weekly cleaning. A lot of the lights don't work, especially in the bedroom. The ceiling fan in the master bdrm does not work. The wicker patio furniture on the balcony is literally falling apart. I am not sure how safe it is for someone to sit on. Someone needs to really own this unit ,update it and give it some love.

Jaw dropping ocean views

The views are everything. Oceanfront. Gorgeous sunrises. Spacious and comfortable. That said, the bathrooms are a bit tired, with peeling paint and rusty shower curtain rods. Similarly, the tile is older, with less than pristine grout. The pink paint peeking out from behind the toilet showed more care could be taken with the paint job. But the ocean views, the peace and quiet. I’d go back.

Early spring Amelia rental

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was satisfactory. The views from this unit are amazing. Nice location right above the pool that is shared by the 6 buildings in Shipwatch. The elevator is fairly prompt, but you do have to go down a flight of stairs to access the unit. The unit has nice sized living area, but the bathrooms are on the small side. I would describe the furnishings as drab/dingy.....comfortable furniture, but some furniture, curtains and shower curtains are stained and worn. We did have an issue during our stay with a leaking washing machine. When we got to the unit there was a terrible musty smell in the hallway, and we discovered it must have been due to the leak. We called for repair, and they sent someone promptly, but it was not fixed. I hope this is repaired before next rental as this really started off our trip on a bad note. One of this kitchen appliances also had a broken part and this was never addressed either. Maintenance by the property owner and management group needs improvement.

The Saving Grace of 2020

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were absolutely delighted at the experience of staying in this condo, which has stunning views as promised. The design of the place is spacious yet cozy--deep sofas!--with each of the bedrooms and the living room all opening up to a shared balcony. The dining area is a high table; there were generally only two of us (plus cat), but when we had four everyone felt comfortable. The kitchen is up to date, with plenty of cooking tools and clean, modern appliances. Three televisions, all with cable, felt like an indulgence--we only needed one (and we plugged in a Fire stick to have full programming options). The internet signal was very strong throughout the space. Everything was clearly labeled and organized, with easy door access via keypad. What a gift, after the difficult year had by all. We are grateful to the owners for their thoughtfulness. We would love to come stay there again!
