We loved our week at the Sandy Flat, nice house, clean and well stocked with beautiful artwork. A quick walk to the beach. You can hear the ocean from the house and there is an amazing creek view from the living room glassdoors with gorgeous sunsets! Plus we could bring our dogs
We love how comfortable and family friendly this hime is. It has geat access to the beach and the upper end of the island has plenty of beach at high tide! It is a reminder of the quieter days of Pawley's!
This was our first trip to Pawleys Island. We had a wonderful stay at Sandy Flats. The house is older but very clean and comfortable. It is an easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the convenience of nearby grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Thanks so much Nancy for a great stay. We hope to return.
Perfect location, rustic but charming, great beach access, and has everything you need in the house for a good beach week. Close to Brookgreen Gardens and also fantastic seafood restaurants. Would stay here again for sure!!
We had a wonderful time at Sandy Flats. The walk to the beach was short and easy. The beach wasn't crowded and the water in late June was still refreshing. We saw lots of marine life and shells. The view of the marsh was beautiful. A great place to see the sunset and watch the birds. The beds were comfy and gave our family of 5 plenty of options. We even had enough beds for the cousins to stay over one night. There are close grocery stores and restaurants. Nancy was wuick to answer any questions we had. There were beach chairs, beach toys, a baby swing, kids swing, and porch swing to enjoy. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off in before going in the house. It was a perfect place for us. We will back again.
Vintage cottage nestled in the heart of the community. Beautiful marsh view and easy 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Owner is very communicative and helpful!
Super cute! Great layout and plenty of space. Nancy was a wonderful host, great communication. The walk to beach is perfect and view of marsh is amazing. We will be back
The house spot and setting is perfect ! Love hoe itâs nestled in the trees with the birds feeding all around and always with shade ! The owner super friendly.
Not my first time here and definitely not the last. This little house is what Pawleys Island is all about. The history of this place to the location is just great ! Nancy is the best !
This little cabin is clean and has a good location, even though itâs not on the beach- itâs a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is very small, two people are crowded in it. The main sitting area has old uncomfortable furniture. Slide glass door needs to be replaced.
The property was everything, that it was advertised. The host was very helpful made it very easy! The property was perfect for our family coming and going so close to the beach just short walk to the beach!
It was everything as was described. Love the fact that the owner made contact with us and made us feel at home. The extra bonus was it was easy short access to the beach. Definitely will stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Flats. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay sress free and relaxing. Communication with the owner was great. She made herself readily available if we had any questions or needs and was gracious in allowing us to bring more than one dog, so our pups got a vacation too. She goes out of her way to provide for your needs to make vacation as relaxing as possible! Thank you for making your home available!
Sandy Flat rental house on Pawleys Island was a great little trip.

Will definitely try to make a return trip.

Pros and cons
Pros: The area seems safe with the local police station nearby. Itâs a short walk to the beach. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the back porch. The beach is nice and not as busy as other SC beaches. The cost of this rental was less than most of the other available options nearby.
Cons: The kitchen was maybe a 6 or 7 on cleanliness. It appears as though the house hasnât been updated much in the past 50 years. It definitely fits the Pawleys Island âarrogantly shabbyâ vibe. The key to the lift wasnât left for us, which would have been helpful for luggage. The beds werenât very comfortable in our opinion. The linens werenât provided.
Overall, it was fine and we made it work. I would recommend this house if you consider the pros and cons.
We would definitely stay here again. Nancy was timely in communicating with us throughout the whole process.
The location was wonderful and the home had all we needed for a memorable vacation.
Thanks, Nancy!! đđ
My family, black lab and I had a great week at Sandy Flat. The house was everything we needed and was very comfortable. We came to the beach to truly relax and this house didnât disappoint. Wonderful views from the deck overlooking the marsh and a nice screened in porch for those rainy afternoon showers. After sitting on the beach all day, it was also nice to come back and hammock in the breeze under the house. If you have an Eno, I suggest you bring it! The house was clean and had a kitchen with everything needed, which was nice as we mostly stay in for meals. Nancy was a pleasure to communicate with and we are already planning for a trip next year. Thank you for sharing Sandy Flat for others to enjoy.
We loved our stay at this home...it faced the marsh and the beach was so easy to get to! Thank you...thank you for making our family gathering so easy and fun
If you're looking for an affordable place to just enjoy the beach, this is it. The view of the marsh is beautiful and you are a 2 minute walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and people are friendly. A 5 to 10 minute drive to the mainland gets you to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommmended.

My family has been coming to Pawleys since I was a young child. I learned âearly onâ what a special place it is! When you book our property, please tell me a little about you and what you expect from your stay at Sandy Flat.
