A very unique home with a historic past, built in 1920, was fun to have as our base for a weekend wedding trip. We love architectural history and this provided much to see related to artistic craftsmanship of that era. The location was perfect for us. The home was comfortable and roomy for a large group. The driveway is steep, so I recommend arriving in SUV’s or Trucks for access rather than sedans that can slightly scrape underneath while pulling through the gate. Nothing major just a recommendation if you have a choice. The owner is very responsive to any needs that you may have.

The stay itself exactly what I was looking for. The house was exactly like the pictures, spacious and beautiful. Communication with the host was nonexistent until I finally used the VRBO virtual agent 1 hour prior to my check in time. I had to call the host and request the information. Once arriving, there were no other instructions as far as check out info, wifi info, etc.. overall, I would recommend this location, just be proactive with communication in advance to avoid possible confusion or issues for yourself.

These are the reasons we left after only one night. I also sent this to our host who has yet to reply to me.We should get some type of refund because of the following. No heat upstairs. We replaced the battery on the thermostat, but this did not help. Even though our host sent out portable heaters, 4 of them we needed at least two more to truly make a difference. We were not comfortable using portable heaters at all! I called our host and he said " I cannot control the weahter" Not an acceptable response. The key that we used to open the front door got stuck in the door and it took a good bit of jiggling it to get it out. It should have been in some type of protective container to keep it from getting wet. There were 4 tv's and i tried 3 of them and none of them had the same remote of the same software or system. There were no NO instructions as to how to operate any of the TV's. On the Tv in the Den everything i tried i either got a channel in another city or an app that was not active. The Host wanted me to send him a picture of the controls which I did but he was no help. There were also no instructions to how to hook up to the Wifi..NONE! The Host said to look on the box to get the code. Shower in the hall did not work. Door to basement would not lock. issues with other doors as well. Important since we had two children. the above is not all the issues. DO NOT Stay at this house it is not ready to rent. Not happy at all. Our son and his family had to rent another plac

Im am responding to our last guest. This location happens to be a guest favorite, over several platforms 95% ratings of five stars with 50 guest . This guest did not understand how to work the remote control for the televisions , he did not understand how the work of controls for the Jacuzzi, which is just a turn on button , and unfortunately, he did not understand how to work the shower, which has dual shower heads in addition to it being a steam shower. All past guest have had no problems with any of these items mentioned.Heating works fine in the property. I would say once new batteries were put into the thermostat area. The heating unit kicked back in as the second floor unit began to do its job . I expedited 4 heating units. Within an hour of receiving the call. If anything else was needed i’m always available 24 seven as I shared with the gentleman. The key that works the front door. Everyone turns it with one turn and enters once again. I’m not really sure why he felt so many complications. The guest was welcome to stay his duration he made a choice to leave and go to his local home
