We loved staying at your condo for a wedding we were attending across the street at the Ice House. Extremely clean, well stocked and location was excellent. Will definitely be booking again.
I spent a weekend at Good for the Soul with my two children (high school & college aged). The condo was comfortable and clean. The balcony is extremely spacious, we enjoyed breakfast to-go from Cafe con Leche on the balcony together. I called management with a question about how to use the elevator, and they kindly talked me through it. The elevator was a godsend for my daughter who has mobility challenges. We would definitely book again, hopefully for a longer stay next time!
Great well appointed (although could have used a larger sharper knife) condo. Unfortunately, the cleaning fluid smell permeated and overwhelmed the condo.
This property was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my brothers graduating from college! We utilized everything the property had to offer - full kitchen, washer/dryer, plenty of seating, beautiful balcony, nice bathrooms and bedrooms, a working elevator, walking distance to everything in town, and close proximity to St. George Island. It couldn't have been more perfect!
We were in Apalachicola for a wedding and decided to make it a weekend trip. Good for the Soul was the perfect location! We were able to walk to restaurants, shops and bars. The space is decorated beautifully and the balcony was a great place for sitting with a glass of wine. Checking in was super easy and Jordyn was very friendly and helpful with questions about the town. We will definitely rent this space again!
Nice, comfy place, and very convenient to everything Apalachicola! We had a weekend fishing trip so the property was perfect if you're going out of the marina.
Loved this condo on my recent trip to apalach. Much bigger than we expected. Very clean, comfortable rooms and great location to all of the restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again!!
The property was superb! Clean, comfortable and close to everything! We walked to dinner and lunch, and to all of the cute little shoppes! The brewery was around the corner where you can grab a beer and people watch. Apalachicola Chocolate and Coffee Company has the best coffee and gelato and fudge!!! I had to have a scoop of the lavender honey gelato almost everyday! My husband and son fished everyday while the girls went shopping and explored the historical aspects of the town. The bedrooms are very comfortable and private and the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for a family meal. I particularly loved sitting on the balcony each morning with a cup of Apalachicola Sunrise coffee watching the little gulls, crackles and mourning doves fly around doing their thing! We are Floridians, so spending time in âOld Floridaâ, away from the construction and over population of the rest of the state was refreshing and relaxing. Oh! I cannot forget to mention the âHigh Five Dive Barâ!!! What a nice establishment!! Closes at 10 PM, closed on Monday and Tuesdays, but THE best music we have heard in a long time and THE best hospitality from the owners!!!! Thank you for allowing our family to stay at this lovely propertyâŠ..
We had a great time here! The space was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. The property manager was quick to respond to questions. The property was located next to a venue with live music.
This is the perfect location. Close to bars, shops and restaurants. A plus that is has parking. The apartment was great for two adult couples. Open concept in the living area and a fantastic, huge balcony overlooking downtown. Enjoyed our stay. The unit seemed to have everything we needed for a long weekend.
It was great. Beautiful. Loved the colors and the decor and outside porch. Everything about this place was great. The one thing there that I donât think was mentioned was the elevator and one of us has bad knee so he used it each time rather than step. Love the place!
The Magnolia was our favorite place thus far to stay in Apalachicola. Very nice, comfortable, all the amenities you need, and perfect location for walking about town. The balcony was lovely in the morning and evenings. Weather perfect! Just the two of us, but would be perfect for four also. Thank You!
What a great condo. Within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. The elevator is a HUGE plus when taking bags and groceries upstairs. The balcony is great for sitting and relaxing while enjoying morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail. Kitchen is large and well-appointed and the unit is spacious, light, and comfortable.
The Magnolia is nicely equipped and well maintained. Easy check-in/out and secure parking. The location is perfectly central to all of the wonderful shopping, dining, and entertainment that Appalachicola has to offer. (Fun bar right next door!) If you're an early to bed person, you may want to consider that the open air bar has live music until 9:30 or 10 that can be heard clearly inside this end unit.
Beautiful accommodations within walking distance to everything in Apalachicola! We loved it here. Plenty of room, well-appointed, great kitchen!! We loved the balcony, too! We would love to stay here again on our next visit. Property manager was very helpful, flexible and accommodating, too. Our only complaint - the thousand-piece lighthouse puzzle was so intricate, we were unable to finish it before we left!! Looking forward to visiting again!
The house was incredibly clean and perfect spot for a visit to Apalachicola. Everything you need is within a short walk. If you like Country music (we don't) there's a fun bar with live music right across the street. The only slight negative was a lot of hoops to jump through with the rental company. to get checked in.
"Good for the Soul" lives up to its name. We had an amazing time at Apalachicola! We loved our condo and thought it was one of the NICEST places we had ever rented. We hope to be back. LOVED IT! Very clean, and everything was first-class and well-thought-out! Easy check-in and out and we enjoyed having the elevator.
Loved the Magnolia and itâs great private balcony- itâs huge. Across the street is a fun venue that plays music and everyone in town comes to. Loved our visit! Saw St George Island and got veggies from the farmers market, walked around and enjoyed the shopping. Great food at The Station, Up the Creek, Brunch at the Owl ( get there early to get in line for the 11am opening itâs worth it, 13 Mile Seafood for great fresh caught seafood to prepare in the condo. Gelato at Chocolate and coffee was delicious and of course The Gibson Hotel for cocktails. If you havenât been to them area youâll love it!!
This is an extremely large and well-furnished condo in a completely remodeled old cotton warehouse. The complex is actually two warehouses separated by parking. This building is the one not on the water, which might seem second-best, but sadly the River here is lined by fish processing plants. They are quaint looking and odor-free, but very noisy due to the compressors. So we actually loved having our very long porch along a quiet street that is tree-line, instead. We sat out in the comfortable chairs every morning and evening.
It really is a large (for a condo) gourmet kitchen. There is tons of closet space and privacy between the two bedrooms as they are separated completely by the layout. The decor is low-key of a very good quality and all the sheets and towels feel new. It was spotless.
The unit is on the upper floor and has its own elevator, so you don't even have to climb one flight of stairs if you don't care to. Although we were there for a weekend, you would feel quite at home here for an indefinite stay and lack for nothing.
We have stayed twice at this cute and convenient condo. This time neither tv worked. I reached out to the property manager 3 times as we wanted to watch football game. She replied once and said to give it a few seconds. I expected a maintenance person to stop by but no one did and I never heard from the leasing agent . That was disappointing. The refrigerator is also making a loud noise. This unit needs more / better pillows . There are some lamps without bulbs. Otherwise I would stay again. I am writing this because a few touches would have made this much better. The tv in the bedroom does not work at all as my husband and a few others tried several times. The cable box may be dead.
We (3 female co-workers) planned a last minute trip to get away and relax. This was a wonderful location. The Condo is very large and left plenty of space so we didn't feel on top of each other. The balcony was great , although I would like to come back in the fall when the weather would make it much more enjoyable. All of the condo's amenities were great, including the nice jetted bath tub which I made it a point to enjoy (don't forget your bubbles). The beds were comfy and the towels felt new and very soft! There is also an elevator which comes in handy when bringing up luggage and groceries!
The location in Apalachicola is perfect, walking distance to everything, shops, restaurants and the local bar Bowery Station was right across the street (we found ourselves there each night). St George Island is a short drive across the bridge so we got to enjoy the beach for the day then come back and shower and get ready for a nice meal. We found out many shops and places in Apalachicola have short hours though so plan accordingly!
Overall, I highly recommend this place. We all talked about how nice it was and how we should plan to come back in the fall! Kathy was very nice and handled our minor issue with the security deposit quickly. If you're looking for a relaxing place in the middle of Apalachicola this is it!
We split our time between Apalachicola in the winter and Pennsylvania in the summer. Had rented this condo for several seasons before finally deciding to buy it for ourselves.
