stayed about 9 days in the poconos. the weather was beautiful in the fall and there were so many deer and many tame. we had several come on the property. house was very nice and we would recommend it.
We were looking for a quiet place with access to lots of options for when we chose to venture out. This home offered a nice wooded lot and there was a great variety of things to do, places to eat, etc. within easy driving. We loved the nearly daily visits by deer and rabbits, who would eat calmly, even though clearly aware of our presence. The home was well stocked in terms of dishes, silverware, cooking implements, and even things like oil and spices, which the host generously makes available. We loved the screened-in porch and the deck. The host was VERY responsive. Services at the community center left a lot to be desired--some things were shut down due to Covid, hours were inconsistent with what was posted, and staff gave inaccurate information. However, the pool and lake access were nice to have when they were available. Some of the neighbors were a bit noisier than we would have liked, but apart from that, we found this to be a home that met our hopes for our vacation.
I enjoy reading fiction, doing simple craft projects, listening to music and most of all traveling with friends and family. Having used vacation rentals during many of my travels I got excited about hosting.
We love the outdoors - the hiking trails, the golf courses and ski slopes makes Poconos a great place for me, my husband and kids year round. The home is contemporary, well lit & located on a large wooded lot away from urban clutter, yet close to everything we need. A short drive away from Newark makes it an easy destination to fly into from within and outside the US for our family get-togethers.
The home is away from a city but well equipped to stay connected with Wifi mesh routers providing excellent coverage through out the home. Entertainment is on tap with a Smart TV, Apple TV and Alexa for music, news and information.
