Come and enjoy our beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom country home nestled in the woods in Rual Waterloo. The house has a full furnished kitchen with an unfinished basement, beautiful sitting area with a fireplace and wireless internet. If you like the peacefulness of nature, this is the place to visit. Come to relax and enjoy yourself on your front porch or back deck overlooking your own stocked privet lake. Enjoy watching wild turkey and whitetail deer each day from the comfort of the house. The property also has its own 30x50 pole barn. Guests will feel right at home here. Whether you're looking to relax indoor/outdoors or explore the city, this awesome property is the perfect base for your stay. This was a marvelous location close to our family that live nearby. The house was clean and tidy and just perfect for what we needed for the weekend. Plenty of parking for guest and my house were very nice. They even came out in the middle of a rain storm and cut up a tree that fell across the driveway. Their prompt Service allowed our grandkids to get back to their house and in bed in a more timely manner. Thanks to them so much for that. Can’t wait till we get another opportunity to go back.

This was our 2nd time staying here and so looking forward to our 3rd later this year. Nothing beats the peace and quiet this property offers. Megan is a amazing host!! Making sure wife and I had everything we need to enjoy our stay. If your staying in or around this area, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving this home a try. Our stay here was peaceful and enjoyable. It was easy to get to, off of a quiet road in a rural area. There are multiple porches for sitting outside and enjoying the beauty of the pond and the woods. It was a wonderful place to spend hours watching and listening to a variety of birds. And when you do want to go inside, there are comfortable amenities. We were able to park in the garage, which we were thankful for during a storm. The host was helpful and easy to communicate with. This is a great place to spend some time relaxing.

Megan had the cabin decorated for Valentines Day, it was an unexpected touch. The cabin is very nice, secluded and beautiful scenery all around. I highly recommend it if you like nature.

Our stay was comfortable and just what we needed. The property is truly the highlight of the rental. It is quiet and private. That makes it very relaxing. The beds are comfortable. The home was clean and tidy. I only have one aspect of the property that was disappointing. There are no tables, table lamps or throws available in the living room. Those items aren’t needed but would make spending time in the living room more comfortable. Other than that, all is as described and made for a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was great—very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made it feel extra special. The private lake was a highlight for us; fishing kept us entertained and relaxed throughout our stay. Everything was well maintained, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We As a family have stayed at several vrbo. I can say this ome was on the top of our list as far as being equiped with everything you need! Linens, bedding, cooking supplies of all sorts, cleaning supplies. The Host was very quick to reply and answer any questions we had. You can tell they are in the process of continually improving on the property. The acces was great! We pulled a 20'pontoon in and had no problem turning around in the drive. And not to mention, having the availabilty of a outbuilding was fantastic for us to store our fishing poles and gear in the evening! Not to mention the wildlife was great! If your looking for a relaxing place in this area. This is your spot!!

Do yourself a favor and book this property. We have booked many properties all over Illinois and Missouri and this place just jumped to the top of our list. The property is so relaxing in countless ways. Very secluded, yet restaurants and everything you need are just 15 minutes away in Waterloo.

Megan was great! When the weather was expected to be bad, she sent a message checking to see if we needed anything. I loved that we had full access to the location without the worry of disturbing others, or being disturbed. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Just what I needed. Cannot wait to book this location again maybe in the summer so that we can enjoy the outside.

My husband, son (5yrs with developmental differences and lots of energy), and I enjoyed our stay over 4th of July weekend. The home was welcoming, homey, clean, and tastefully decorated. The upper level felt open and airy with a great room layout of the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Both upstairs rooms had queen beds that were very comfy and soft. We appreciated sleeping well during our 3 night stay.I was impressed with the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom (we didn't use the downstairs shower) and the continuous hot water. We were provided plenty of oversized towels and additional basic toiletries. We had access to an updated kitchen with all of the supplies needed for cooking.We had plenty of space for the three of us and definitely had room for a few more.There was great wifi reception and a large TV with Roku in the living room. We enjoyed our evenings cuddling up on the leather sofa watching TV before bed.The biggest gem at this property is the lake and surrounding nature. It is truly an escape into solitude but still only a 20 minute drive to many delicious restaurants and convenience stores. The screened in porch directly off the kitchen was my favorite spot in the mornings and at twilight. The shaded dock was second. The hostess kindly allowed us to park in the large clean out building.The hostess checked in several times before and during the stay. She was quick and thorough with her responses to my questions. We definitely plan to return!

We loved everything about our stay in the woods. From the minute we pulled into the secluded tree-lined driveway, we felt like we were truly in the woods. Megan, the host, was very kind and easy to communicate with. The house was well appointed and clean. The lake was AMAZING. The fall leaves made the place look magical. We fished, we hiked around the property and we played games in the shed that we brought from home. We will stay again. What a beautiful property!

Exactly as advertised!! In the country a beautiful house with it's own private lake. The host Megan was awesome. She was very proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed for our lengthy stay. " Definitely a hidden gem in the historic town of Waterloo " Looking forward to booking this location again for our future stays while visiting family. This property is absolutely breathtaking for a regular stay or an event. I stayed for a few days and also my son's wedding and reception was on the property. From the moment I pulled into the driveway I was was ecstatic over the beautiful home, the lake, nature and the shed. The home was very clean, decorated beautiful and very cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was perfect. Communication with the owner was easy and they were both so accommodating with answers to all of our questions. We had almost 40 guests and parking was easy, we had almost 20 vehicles and there was still plenty of parking space available.The shed was immaculate and huge. Even with 8 tables there was plenty of room for a dance floor and for people to spread out. Space was not an issue at all. I also rented tables and chairs from the owner and delivery was great. All pieces were in great shape and clean. You will definitely see nature out there. The deer arrived every morning to drink out of the lake, listen for the owl hooting and see the squirrels playing in the trees. I'd also like to add, I appreciated the concrete from the house to the shed door. This made it so much easier for the older guests to walk from the shed and then take the 1 step up to the front deck and be able to step inside. We will definitely rent again for either stays or events.

First off, I wish this was my little slice of heaven! LOL Megan was a very friendly, top-notch host. The property is beautiful, and the shed was the perfect place to host my son’s graduation party. We live in Waterloo but wanted to host outside of our home and everything was perfect for the occasion! We have family members already looking to make reservations for a relaxing, “staycation”! Tucked in the woods, this house makes for an great escape from the outside world! Definitely recommend!
