Bon bini! Nous vous invitons Ă  ĂȘtre nos invitĂ©s dans notre maison des CaraĂŻbes sur la belle Ăźle de Curaçao. Votre chambre principale regarde Ă  travers le jardin ombragĂ© Ă  l'ocĂ©an. Apportez votre cafĂ© sur le pont le matin et regardez les pĂȘcheurs se diriger vers la mer, suivi par les frĂ©gates et les fous Ă  pattes brunes. Jetez un coup d’Ɠil Ă  une tortue de mer en croisiĂšre ou si vous ĂȘtes chanceux, des baleines ou des dauphins qui remontent la cĂŽte. Puisque nous sommes face Ă  l'ouest, vous ne voudrez pas manquer le coucher du soleil lĂ -bas suivi par un ciel de nuit inondĂ© d'Ă©toiles.

Marcher dans les deux sens, à travers notre village endormi de Lagun, à l'une des deux plages du quartier. Cuisiner ou dßner dans l'un des nombreux restaurants à proximité. Visitez l'extrémité ouest rurale de l'ßle pour trouver des plages douillettes, de magnifiques sites de plongée sur la plage, de magnifiques sentiers de randonnée pédestre et de VTT. Rendez-vous à Willemstad, une capitale portuaire du patrimoine mondial, pour faire du shopping, manger, visiter des musées ou regarder les remorqueurs guider de gros pétroliers dans le port.

Wonderful stay.

Lisa and Joel and their 2 dogs are gracious, knowledgeable, lovely hosts. Sol patch is a beautiful wooded property with an expansive shady outdoor porch and an amazing view from the Bali hut on the edge a cliff side. The location is perfect to explore the NW beaches and we really enjoyed the company.

Lagun is Wonderful

Joel and Lisa are the perfect hosts. A very nice rental. We rented a car from D&D car rental and bikes from Daisa Bike Shop. Took a Mermaid Boat exercusion to Klein Curaco. Weather is perfect.

Wonderful Stay in Lagun

Lisa and Joel are wonderful hosts with a beautiful property. From the beginning of our stay they had so many suggestions of activities to do and foods to try on the island. If you want to stay in a little spot of paradise stay at Sol Patch Lagun.

Beautiful and like nothing else!

This was a delightful place to spend our anniversary. Directly from your door to the cliffs and deck over the water, beautiful sunsets, and sea life! The wife loved the owner's pets and animals. Thanks for allowing us to use your home and your host's hospitality.

Beautiful place and location!

We totally loved our stay at sol patch. It's a beautiful house and garden with amazing views! It's a fantastic location on the island with great restaurants snorkeling scuba and hiking all within minutes. Both Joel and Lisa were incredibly helpful. Wonderful place and people!

My wife and I had an amazing time. Property was even more beautiful than we had dreamed. Very easy to relax on the property and soak up the incredible views. 2 beach’s within walking distance with many more just a short drive away. Joel and Lisa were excellent hosts and always answered any questions we had regarding the island. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Doesn’t get any better than this!

We had a lovely time at this seaside retreat! The views were spectacular, the hosts were more than hospitable, and friendly. The accommodations were just lovely. It was close to many lovely beaches! Joel and Lisa shared all of their local insight with us and directed us to the best beaches and restaurants. The deck overlooking the ocean below is priceless.

Absolutely beautiful property. On the water and away from the busy downtown area. Plenty to eat nearby. I’m gonna miss the 2 dogs Huck and Milo. They greeted us every morning ready for their treats. Joel and Lisa are wonderful and would not want to stay anyplace but with them.

The description doesn’t even come close to how amazing this place was. The homeowners have thought of everything to make your stay seamless. Being able to wake up and see the ocean a few yards from the bedroom, wonderful outdoor living space to friendly dogs that make you feel at home.many great conversations with Lisa and Joel made for a getaway that we will never forget!

Just what we were looking for!

A beautiful home in a beautiful spot. We had big private room with bath and outdoor kitchen, with access to outdoor dining/sitting area and deck over the Caribbean. Lisa and Joel were wonderful hosts and were helpful with suggestions for beaches, snorkel spots, hikes, and places to eat (plenty of which are very nearby, including two snorkel beaches to walk to). We couldn’t have had a nicer stay. There’s plenty to do nearby if you want, and a beautiful place to hang out if you don’t want to do anything.

Sol Patch Lagun

My husband and I had such a lovely time in Lagun, and Sol Patch was the perfect place to stay- in a quiet location, but close to the beach and restaurant. Lisa and Joel were the perfect hosts, and gave us lots of advice on places to go that we wouldn’t have otherwise have discovered. It would have been easy to spend the days sitting on the deck, and snorkelling off the steps. We wish we’d had longer. Thankyou Lisa and Joel for sharing your beautiful space .

Perfect spot for 2

Our stay was wonderful. Joel and Lisa are wonderful hosts who were happy to accommodate any requests we had. Their place is located in a perfect spot on the western part of the island, which in our opinion, is the best part of Curacao. We had easy access steps right into the water, a comfortable bed, a mini outdoor kitchen that had everything we needed and even fresh aloe was offered for our sun burns! They also have a secret connection to a neighbor friend who will make you the best dumplings you’ve ever had and deliver them to your door. It was really perfect.

Peaceful Escape

My teen daughter & I were fortunate enough to stay at this Lagun home for a week. Joel & Lisa are lovely hosts, who I'd love to have as full-time neighbors. I have stayed at other properties of their's before & they are always beautifully decorated, clean & are as advertised. What you can't see from the listings is the calm, serene feeling or the sounds of the birds & critters or the smells of the flowers & sea... There was always something new to discover on the property; a fun colored lizard, a piece of art we hadn't noticed before, dolphins swimming past as we relaxed on the Bali bed. It's an easy drive to many great beaches, restaurants & natural attractions, while being away from the busy tourist areas like JanThiel.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the peacefulness. It was a very comfortable stay. The beauty of the sea in the mornings and evenings were great ways to start and end the day. The internet was a little sketchy while we were there, but it was a vacation to chill so found out we were ok without it. Joel and Lisa were very, very helpful in guiding us to local areas to enjoy. So thankful to have their expertise for the trip. We are so glad we met this wonderful couple and had some awesome conversations.

Special Place, Special People

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Lisa and Joel's. The location can't be beat. We were looking for a quiet, laid back week away from home. We spent a lot of time on the deck looking out over the ocean, and it was so easy to walk down the steps to hop into the ocean for a swim as well. It's walkable to two beaches, a couple of restaurants, hiking trails...and many more within a short drive. The property and location alone is spectacular, but Lisa and Joel are truly what makes this place special. One of the major highlights of our trip was sharing a meal with them. So kind and welcoming, they were eager to share their knowledge of their beautiful island. Thank you so much for a wonderful week away from home.

Beautiful and Cozy

Beautiful and cozy place to stay. The outdoor space was perfect for cooking and dining. Absolutely loved the deck space. We spent most of our time there relaxing, watching the ocean and drinking coffee in the morning. Swimming off the steps was beautiful and the visibility was amazing. The place is centrally located near the beaches and restaurants. What makes the place so special is Joel and Lisa who live there too. They are absolutely wonderful people. Very helpful with questions and suggestion for restaurants and site seeing. There two little dogs are super sweet we enjoyed their company too. We went diving with at Bahia the local dive shop. Wonderful people to work with. We had an amazing time in Curacao and will be returning and staying here again.

Great place to unplug

Joel and Lisa were easy to communicate with. This rental is a master suite next to their home and we shared common outdoor space. The suite is well done with enough room to relax but the outdoor space is the real beauty of this rental. The view of the Caribbean was worth the trip alone from their deck and day bed. Although we shared the outdoor space, we saw Joel and Lisa only for short periods of time and when we did they were very helpful sharing their insights to the island. Snorkeling just below the deck was easy and beautiful. We would highly recommend this location for a couple.

Absolutely amazing

Great experience. Beautiful property, the best location and absolutely amazing owners. I think it’s the owners, who made our experience great. We loved them and we’ll be back. Lisa and Joel had suggestions for our hikes and beaches to visit. They are very lovely people who enjoy other people, love the island and would like to share this love with you making you fall in love with the island too. Property is clean, has everything you need. It’s located on the cliff, you will need to use steps to get into water. We absolutely loved it.

Incredible Stay

We had an incredible time on our first trip to Curacao. I am so glad we booked our stay at Sol Patch Lagun. Joel & Lisa were wonderful hosts and provided a wealth of information for our stay on the island. It was so enjoyable visiting with our hosts and learning so much about them and their love of the area. Our room at Sol Patch exceeded our expectations with so many creative touches and beautiful details. The gardens and decks were absolutely stunning. We loved watching the sunset from the deck and used the swinging bed for afternoon reading. Incredible snorkeling was just steps away and Playa Jeremi and Playa Lagun were just a short snorkel or walk away. Milo & Huck are the sweetest dogs and we enjoyed their company during our stay. We highly recommend Sol Patch and hope to come back again soon.

Breathtaking view, ultimate relaxation, wonderful hosts

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Lisa and Joel's place. They were lovely hosts, friendly, with lots of recommendations, but also plenty of space and privacy as well. This location is perfect!!! Lagun is perfect town, a beautiful beach and a few great places to eat. From Lagun, it's easy to explore north of island, including hiking to top of Christoffel Mountain, seeing flamingos at Sint Willibordus, swimming with turtles at Playa Piskado. The deck at this rental was an incredible place to begin and end each day. The bed is perfectly relaxing. The stars at night go on forever. And we absolutely made use of those stairs that went right down to the water. It was great to be able to jump right into the water right at the rental. The snorkeling was incredible! Thank you for opening your home to us Lisa and Joel, we look forward to seeing you again!

Beautiful Garden Hide-away on the Water

I would highly recommend this place to any couple looking for a beautiful ocean-front getaway. If you're looking for accommodations on VRBO, you're probably not looking for a bland, drab hotel room, and this place is the polar opposite. The guest room is a studio-type suite with high ceiling and bathroom with an outdoor covered mini-kitchen. We loved the mix of indoor-outdoor space: a nice large private indoor bedroom and bathroom and an expansive covered outdoor dining and lounging space. The entire property has absolutely gorgeous, well cared for plant life. It's worth noting that the property owners also live on site most of the time; they're a wonderful friendly couple who have a great knowledge of the island. At the same time, they're very unobtrusive and offer plenty of privacy. If we return to Curacao, we would definitely consider coming back here!

Rustic Hideaway in Curacao

I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay that at Lisa and Joel's Guesthouse in Lagun. Their house is about 30 minutes up the NW coast from the capital city and the major touristic centers, so its definitely away from the hustle and bustle. The beaches on the NW are beautiful, and you simply can't have a more spectacular view than from the deck on their property, perched about 40 feet over the ocean and looking directly west over the unbroken sea. Everything in the guest house is comfortable and decorated with taste, reflecting both the island and Lisa and Joel's travels overseas. They were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction in terms of places to go and activities to do. There is a small kitchenette and even a bbq for those interested in preparing their own food. The sounds on the morning were of the wind, the birds, and the local roosters crowing. For those wishing to get away from the crowds and explore the natural side of Curaçao, this is the perfect place to stay. I hope to be back!

Truly Magical

What can we say? Our time in Curaçao, in Lagun, and with Joel and Lisa blew us away. The photos do not do this property or ambiance justice - it was a truly unique and magical experience. My friends were convinced from my photos that I was staying. at a luxury resort, but this was even better than that. My partner and I came for a last minute getaway from New York and we’re floored by the hospitality of the island and the charm of Lagun. We loved hanging around the deck in the morning, exploring the local beaches, restaurants, and hiking during the day and dining in or out at night. Joel and Lisa deserve all the 5-star reviews on here - they were incredible hosts, rife with stories from the island, past lives, and travels. We loved our time with them. Pro tips: rent a car, explore the whole island - there is SO much to see and it’s easy to do, get creative with your cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and watch the sky transition from sunset to stars from the back deck.
