Kerry CoastTraditional Cottage in Kells at Dingle Bay in County Kerry, Ireland.
This traditional Irish Cottage made it up to today. The owners preserved the old character very carefully and kept it well maintained. The Cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, a modern bathroom and a very homely livingroom with a cosy stove. There is one extra bed on the gallery as it used to be in the old times. The elevated terrace besides the house is a great place for looking across Dingle Bay or watching the millions of stars in clear nights. Indeed a nice place for a romanatic holiday.
Vielen Dank!
Lovely restored traditional cottage with an incredible view
We stayed here 5 nights. We were lucky with the weather so the view of the water and across to Dingle was outstanding. Nice walks on roads between sheep pastures right out the door as well as a trail up the mountain. There is a beach that is a close drive. The cottage itself is well equipped and was quite clean. Only downside was using the wood stove for heat as it smoked some. We switched over to electric heaters that were available. The enclosed glass walled room was a great bonus. Communication with Denise was excellent as were emails ahead of our trip from Magritte. We enjoyed staying here!
Great location and beautiful view.
Not very clean, lack of comfort, worn facilities. Too complicated to get warm water from the tap. Impossible to heat the place up, the fireplace didnât work properly. No ventilation so humid and no fresh air inside. Poor value for money.
Darling, historic cottage with just the right amount of modern conveniences, surrounded by sheep, donkeys, cows. Denise was very welcoming! We would definitely stay again when in the area
The place where the house was located, the view, the silense were all wonderful!!! You are looking over the bay to Dingle. With great evenining skyâs.
The house was good and clean, with een great bed and a conservatory.
Only the electric facade heater and the fireplace were not enough to warm up de house in the cold evenings.
We were there the first ten days of may.

The lady who was taking care off the house was very friendly and helpful
The cottage is quite comfortable for 2 or 3 individuals with a lovely view of Dingle Bay. It is centrally located on the Ring of Kerry not far from several major tourist spots. The property manager is quite responsive and attentive to details. The kitchen is quite adequate. The only downside is the lack of WIFI and the baseboard heat struggled to keep up with the unseasonably low and rainy weather (given it was August!). We would certainly stay there again.
After our 10 day honeymoon around multiple places in Ireland, we tested positive for COVID and had to isolate 10 more days. We picked this place, and we couldnât have been happier. The view in front of sheep and beautiful Dingle bay was breathtaking and then you also have beautiful, green, tall mountains behind you. It felt so secluded which we loved! The house was cozy and warm with the wood stove. The washing machine was broken, and the caretaker was quick to help, washed clothes at her house even, and then within a few days, there was a new washer. The owner and caretaker were always so quick to respond to our emails and incredibly helpful and kind. We called it our home away from home since we were able to just stop all the touristy things and relax here and take in the feeling of truly living in Ireland. We have promised each other to have our 10 year anniversary in Ireland and will definitely come back to this lovely cottage!!
Amazing base if wanting to experience the Ring of Kerry.
Cottage was amazing experiencing old and modern living experience. Cody cottage with breathtaking views. Location was remote but that was part of the beauty of it. Extra care needed on small roads and road users courteous. Was base for us to drive around the Ring of Kerry. Communication with manager was so easy and attention to detail for us as tenants was great. Would recommend highly.
Wunderschönes kleines Cottage in mitten traumhafter Natur!
A charming, authentic cottage in a beautiful setting!
My sister and I truly enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. Denise and her husband were very accommodating and enriched our stay. We used the cottage as home base and ventured forth everyday to explore the Ring of Kerry and beyond--we both looked forward after a long day of sightseeing to return to the cottage and a warm peat fire and a hot cup of tea. We hope to return someday!

We spent a lovely week at Roads Cottage. Set off the beaten track with fabulous views of the Dingle peninsula. We were graced with lovely weather but imagine it would be quite wild in winter, which we would have loved to see.
Cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Log burner was welcomed on chilly evenings.
Some good local walks up to the lake above the cottage and further afield near Portmagee & Valentia Island. We did the Bendee circular loop and the views were spectacular and worth the very steep climb to get to the top!
Denise was really helpful about local information and greeted us with some freshly baked scones (yum!)
Great bakery near the bridge in Killorglan but we found the Supervalu in Cahersiveen the best of the local supermarkets and it's definitely the closest one to the cottage.
Mobile signals and data roaming were reasonable (EE), but not in every part of the house because of the stone walls.
If you want to switch off and get some fresh air, you won't be disappointed.
We loved our week in this cozy cottage. It was so great to come home and build a peat fire in the wood stove after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals of delicious locally caught fish and the view is amazing. It's enough off the Ring of Kerry that you are nowhere near the hustle and bustle.Denise was great...especially helping us find out way to the house when we arrived in the dark (later than expected) and leaving fresh scones waiting on the kitchen table for us. If we are in Kerry again, we would love to stay here again!
We had a great Time in this beautiful Cottage with a breathtaking View over the Bay!

The cottage is located near Kells at a cul-de-sac country lane about four kilometers of the famous Ring of Kerry. It enjoys magnificient views of Dingle Bay and the Dingle Peninsula. The area around the cottage is called Roads and has got nothing to do with traffic or noise. On the contrary the area is a tranquil Irish country side setting and also is part of the internationally recognised Kerry Dark Reserve. No light polution but millions of stars in clear nights with many astronomical sights to be seen with the naked eye. The nearest grocery shop, a souvenir shop with beautiful Irish garments and crystal glass as well as a Panorama Restaurant is only four kilometers from the house. The lively market town of Cahersiveen with several traditional Irish pubs, shops and restaurants is ten kilometers away. The near vicinity of the house offers plenty of opportunities for activities like walking the Kerry mountains, cycling on quiet country lanes, playing golf, fishing off the rocks near Kells Harbour, boat trips to the Skellig Rocks, deep sea angling with charter boats or visit the many ancient cultural sites of the Celts. Kells House Subtropical Garden is just a stroll away from the house.
