My daughter and I enjoyed our stay especially since we could vacation with our dogs.

We had a great time and our place was comfortable, clean and dog friendly. The neighborhood needs more grassy areas to potty your pup and parking was stressful at times but we made it work.

A beautiful retreat

We had the most wonderful experience staying and Jenn and Jeff’s home! We started the trip with a complimentary boat ride- which allowed us to get the lay of the land. Communication with jenn was seamless and she was a wealth of resources for where to go and what to do! The apartment is even prettier in real life and equipped with very amenity you could need. We loved the outdoor shower and fire pit in the backyard! After we put our daughter to bed we had a great place to have wine and relax! We cannot wait to return!

Great apartment!

The Nest is in a great location! It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and necessities. The apartment is clean and very nice and comfortable. Jenn is a fantastic host and made herself available for anything we may have needed. Highly recommend!

Cute Private Hideaway Just Steps from Beach and Boardwalk

We truly enjoyed our time here. Apartment is updated, clean and comfortable. The full sized kitchen includes loads of utensils, pots, pans, and more and storage items including baggies, aluminum foil and plastic wrap. A/c worked well and you can change to your liking. Locked storage area was good for beach supplies. Big enough to store bikes too. Adorable backyard with working fire pit. Lots of seating including lounge chairs perfect for napping and reading a book. The beach nearby is not crowded, which we loved. A mini market and Wawa are a short walk. Hosts Jenn and Jeff were responsive and friendly. highly recommend.

Fantastic apartment, great location

The apartment was clean and sophisticated, beautifully decorated. Great price for only being a block and a half from the beach - so easy to walk there, even with all of our beach stuff. Jenn was incredibly helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

A fantastic stay, seconds from the beach.

Jenn was very accommodating to us during our stay Aug 12-14. newly renovated in a prime location within a block of Ventnor's beach. The backyard made an excellent use of space with astroturfing on the ground and plenty of choices of cushioned seats to sit on. My personal favorite was a little cove area that was created in the back corner against the house. It looked very cozy. There was also a firepit for night time activities and an outdoor shower to clean yourself off when you return to the beach. The property itself is also pet friendly, which is a huge plus. It was comfortable for our medium size Australian shepherd, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a bigger dog than ours. The rooms have a nice setup to them, with the doors facing towards the center foyer at the side door entrance. It was very clean inside when we first arrived and had a nice clean smell to it. Very quaint and everything looked new. The refrigerator really cranked out the cold, which was awesome. I had gone down the street to the corner store to grab drinks, leaving them in there overnight. I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink and it was very refreshing, as the drinks were colder than the corner store had kept them. Everything worked fine within the property. We had a little bit of a storm on our 2nd day, which interfered with one of the three options of WiFi internet. Which I think is great to have 3 different options in the case that one of them gets knocked out. I had contacted Jenn regarding this issue and she was extremely helpful in resolving it. She even stopped by and offered to let us use her portable router because I had brought some work with me to do. She was very polite and professional and made an excellent impression with us. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Not What Was Expected

The property owner was lovely, the location is great, and the linens/towels were nice quality. Beyond those points, I was very disappointed. The property is most definitely a converted basement which is evident in the moisture in the air and the constant need to run a loud dehumidifier. The workmanship was shoddily done and many corners were cut which was very surprising to me as the pictures make the property appear great. The whole place was clean in the sense there was a general wipe down of commonly used areas but overall cleanliness was lacking. For example, our feet and socks were black after walking on the floors. We had an issue with flies (house flies and drain flies) while we were there. I also found it off putting that the bathroom was filled with lots of half used products (bar of soap, shampoo etc). It was also very disappointing to find out after the fact that there is no cable at the property, only smart tv which had a poor connection and only worked some of the time. The backyard space is very nice but unusable in the afternoon as the turf is too hot to walk on in bare feet. At the price I paid per night, I certainly expected more.

Jenna, thank you for taking the time to review our property. I wish to address your concerns. Our apartment is not a basement by any means, in fact there are no basements at the shore. It is a street floor apartment which is very common at the shore. Being a block from the beach, there is moisture in the air from April - November which is why a dehumidifier is necessary during those times. Our check in time typically is 4pm. That is to ensure that every detail is looked over prior to arrival. In an effort to accommodate your 11:30am check in, I overlooked changing out the shampoo bottles and for that I am very sorry. I work very hard to ensure that all of our guests have a fabulous stay. Our team of cleaning staff works very hard to ensure everything is perfect. As for flies, this is the first I am hearing about that. I live upstairs and would have gladly addressed any issue had you brought them to my attention. On this site, I am proud of the 5 star rating that we had prior to your review as well on the other sites we hold a 5 star rating. Since we live upstairs, I choose not to lower my prices being a block from the beach and the recent renovations. Our prices on Vacation Rentals are in line with our competitors. The only difference is most of the other listings are much further away the beach and/or are not renovated. Jenn

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Great location. Everything was new and nicely decorated. It was a block from the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the shore.

Great Property

Only one block from the beach. Property itself is newly renovated. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended for a small family or a couple getaway.

Both my husband and I are in the hospitality industry so we are happy to share the BEST places to eat, drink, and be merry!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Location, location, location. You have full use of our backyard which is equipped with a gas fireplace. Full turf backyard for kids to enjoy. It's peaceful and beautiful.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There is something very tranquil about the ocean. Being 7 houses to the beach means you can walk up to the boardwalk with your morning coffee or any other time of the day. There is no need to pack up the car with all the beach gear because you are only a block to the beach. On Saturday Nights, you can walk up to the boardwalk and watch the Tropicana fireworks. It is the perfect beach retreat.
