Perfect place for the week !! We loved the lake views and the fire pit ! Lots of room , comfy beds too! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and stocked with lots of stuff! Canât wait to come back !
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this lake home. The location on Lake Winnebago was perfect. The hosts were easy to communicate and work with. This place is definitely on our list to return to in the future.
Bedrooms plenty big and lots of seating for a family. The view of that lake was beautiful. Plenty of wood for evening fires. It was a wonderful place to stay!
This was our second time enjoying this place and its amazing location... If you're looking to unwind and just forget about everything else but the amazing views that surround you, this is the place.... Food and gas within 1 mile from this location... it was perfect but as always too short....
We had a great time! Lots of amenities provided including ample towels and household supplies. Great experience for little kids and searching out frogs. Dock is a little rickety and I wish there was a ladder off of it to make swimming easier. But overall a great house to get away from it all!
This was our second time staying at the Lakehouse and it was just as great as it was 2 years ago. We had a nice basket of goodies and a bottle of wine waiting on us when we got there courtesy of the hosts. And Sophie was wonderful at communicating and checking on us to make sure everything was going well. This is one of our favorite places to stay when we visit Appleton and we will definitely be back!
Great home with all the little extras. Lots of games and books. Kitchen was fully loaded with quality appliances. Nice washer and dryer. Grill and fire pit were good to have. Plenty of towels for bath and the lake. Loved the location. Close to everything!! Hope to return next year.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. My son was getting married at the Waverly Beach Bar & Grill and this house is within a mile of the venue. We loved how close the home was to the water, so on down time, we could watch the calming waves. The beds were great and all was so clean upon check-in. The hosts welcomed us with a gift basket complete with a meal and S'more making supplies. Although we didn't get the chance to use, there is a nice peddle boat, canoe, fire pit and bicycles. A great stay for our family. Highly recommend.
Home was very comfortable, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, beds were fine, large kitchen and living room. Outside had nice sized deck, a large yard, a nice big firepit and plenty of wood. The swimming was nice with shallow water and a sand bottom. The only negative was that the windows did not open to outside air.
Our family had a great time at The Lake House. There was a welcome basket when we arrived with goodies to enjoy. The house was charming, and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. We ate most of our meals at the house, and whatever cooking implements we needed were there. There were toys for the kids, games for all ages, bikes, fishing equipments, and much more. We enjoyed fishing off the peer. We rented a pontoon boat in Fremont. We enjoyed the natural beauty around us but at the same time we appreciated the convenience of a nearby grocery store. The AC was acting up, and within a half hour a technician was there to repair it. I highly recommend this VRBO.
Our Grandson has been fascinated by toads for a long time. He always finds at least one every year. He's been coming since he was 3, he's now 15. Both our grandkids and son love to fish, and we always catch enough to eat fish at least 3 nights. They love the idea of being right on the lake. We will keep coming as long as possible.
I cannot say enough about what an amazing place this is. From the moment we walked in we were so warmly welcomed by the beautiful decorating and added little touches in every room. We spent many hours on the lovely deck and playing in the water. As beautiful as the pictures are I agree they do not do this place justice. To top things off, the owner is extremely nice and very easy to contact to answer all of your questions and more. The fact that he contacted us during the week to make sure we had everything we needed and everything was going well, meant a lot. He definitely takes pride in his Lake House and is genuinely concerned about making sure your stay there is nothing less than the best. Our stay there definitely exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot wait to come back!
Property was accurate to pictures , cleaning person does surface clean visible cobwebs everywhere . Patio furniture had bird poop and cobwebs all over . Some of the lights of the dock fell into the lake and were broken at bottom kids almost stepped on while playing in water. Neighbors were not friendly took it upon themselves to complain about the property and a dead tree they want removed and how place has â gone downhillâ since original owner passed away. Good communication with owners . Great property but fire whoever you have cleaning because they are not cleaning !
Thank you for letting us stay !
I would highly recommend you stay at this wonderful home on Lake Winnebago. The house was very clean, has a fully stocked kitchen and a nice new out door gas grill. The lay out of the house along with the decorating gave us a homey feel. It was great relaxing on the spacious deck listening to the waves hit the rocks and watching the sun set. With two families staying at the house and a handful of kids, they were never bored. The lake was shallow and has a sandy bottom so the kids loved playing in the water for hours along with walking out to the sandbars. When they weren't swimming they were fishing or playing in the large yard area. While we didn't catch many fish, the ones that we did catch were large enough to make for great story telling! The campfire space was another favorite on the trip. Large wood benches were welcoming for gathering around the fire to make smores!
The quick drive to Lambeau also makes this such a convenient place to stay. The owner, Brian was extremely friendly and made us feel so comfortable at this home away from home.
For the better part of 2 years my family was forced to hide in a basement for our lives due to a genetic autoimmune disorder. Since we've been able to come out we've been seeking adventures to make up for lost life. What did we experience while here?
1. Lambeau Field was just up the Interstate. Tour was great! We saw Simone Biles when her husband signed with The Packers!
2. Off Broadway Tour of a Popular Play at the Performing Arts Center.
3. There was a chipmunk that came up to the back door and kept chirping at us. My boys figured he wasn't angry at us, but hungry. When we opened the door he ran under the deck, so we threw out a corn chip. We all sat inside on couches while this chipmunk proceeded to destroy the chip like it owed him money. When he was done it put the rest of the chip down, and then no joke, look at us, winked, and scurried back under the deck.
4. An amazing lakefront view right out the window.
I grew up in the Fox Cities on the water however have been residing in Boulder, CO since 1984. I purchased the home in 2004 as a second home. My girlfriend and I still have family there however with older children and their busy schedules we are not able to enjoy the property as much as we would like. I renovated the home myself when purchased and have a lot of blood, sweat and tears that have been put into the property. With new wood flooring throughout, drywall, paint and new kitchen I made it my own. It was professionally decorated to give it a cozy, charming lake house feel with elegance and warmth. We hope you enjoy the home as much as we do.
This home has a unique lot that allows you to see water for as far as the eyes can see. It is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood where you can bike to nearby restaurants and live music.
You will have all the amenaties of your own home plus the tranquil beauty of Lake Winnebago. The lake is 30 miles by 10 miles and channels into many other lakes and rivers offering a large variety of recreational activities and dining experiences. The home is close to Appleton night life, 30 miles from Lambeau Field as well as 30 miles from Oshkosh offering EAA, Country USA and outlet shopping. The home is 90 miles from Milwaukee Brewers, 3 hours from Chicago.
