Property location and view were excellent unfortunately we had too many disappointments with the amenities and condition of the house. A more detailed list will be provided but the top inconveniences and disappointments were the lack of written instructions on how to operate the thermostat and fireplace. Trying to communicate with owners was a challenge. Toilet upstairs was running which disrupted sleep and we werenât able to open windows to air the stuffiness out and enjoy the lake breeze. Also the power went out due to many weighted branches. Again the location was nice and a more detailed list will follow.
This property was just as it was billed, it felt like a cabin up north on a lake inside. The rooms were nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed. The only negative was the outside could use a little TLC and not being able to open any windows was difficult with the amazing weather we were experiencing, it would have been great to sleep to the sound of the lake.
Perfect place for the week !! We loved the lake views and the fire pit ! Lots of room , comfy beds too! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and stocked with lots of stuff! Canât wait to come back !
Our family had a great time at The Lake House. There was a welcome basket when we arrived with goodies to enjoy. The house was charming, and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. We ate most of our meals at the house, and whatever cooking implements we needed were there. There were toys for the kids, games for all ages, bikes, fishing equipments, and much more. We enjoyed fishing off the peer. We rented a pontoon boat in Fremont. We enjoyed the natural beauty around us but at the same time we appreciated the convenience of a nearby grocery store. The AC was acting up, and within a half hour a technician was there to repair it. I highly recommend this VRBO.
We really felt so at home throughout our entire stay. Loved swimming, fishing, and brought our own jet skis to enjoy. The property has so many things to do. Puzzles, movies, so many games, bikes, fishing poles, swim floaties, balls and the piano was so much fun. I hope we can come stay again one day!
This was our second time enjoying this place and its amazing location... If you're looking to unwind and just forget about everything else but the amazing views that surround you, this is the place.... Food and gas within 1 mile from this location... it was perfect but as always too short....
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this lake home. The location on Lake Winnebago was perfect. The hosts were easy to communicate and work with. This place is definitely on our list to return to in the future.
We had a great time! Lots of amenities provided including ample towels and household supplies. Great experience for little kids and searching out frogs. Dock is a little rickety and I wish there was a ladder off of it to make swimming easier. But overall a great house to get away from it all!
My husband and our five kids loved our time at the farmhouse. The sunsets and sunrises, the fantastic fire pit and dock, and the well stocked kitchen truly made this a home away from home. Close driving proximity for grocery runs and great hiking trails. Thank you, Sophie and Ben for sharing your home with us. Just glorious.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. My son was getting married at the Waverly Beach Bar & Grill and this house is within a mile of the venue. We loved how close the home was to the water, so on down time, we could watch the calming waves. The beds were great and all was so clean upon check-in. The hosts welcomed us with a gift basket complete with a meal and S'more making supplies. Although we didn't get the chance to use, there is a nice peddle boat, canoe, fire pit and bicycles. A great stay for our family. Highly recommend.
Home was very comfortable, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, beds were fine, large kitchen and living room. Outside had nice sized deck, a large yard, a nice big firepit and plenty of wood. The swimming was nice with shallow water and a sand bottom. The only negative was that the windows did not open to outside air.
Our Grandson has been fascinated by toads for a long time. He always finds at least one every year. He's been coming since he was 3, he's now 15. Both our grandkids and son love to fish, and we always catch enough to eat fish at least 3 nights. They love the idea of being right on the lake. We will keep coming as long as possible.
This was our second time staying at the Lakehouse and it was just as great as it was 2 years ago. We had a nice basket of goodies and a bottle of wine waiting on us when we got there courtesy of the hosts. And Sophie was wonderful at communicating and checking on us to make sure everything was going well. This is one of our favorite places to stay when we visit Appleton and we will definitely be back!
I grew up in the Fox Cities on the water however have been residing in Boulder, CO since 1984. I purchased the home in 2004 as a second home. My girlfriend and I still have family there however with older children and their busy schedules we are not able to enjoy the property as much as we would like. I renovated the home myself when purchased and have a lot of blood, sweat and tears that have been put into the property. With new wood flooring throughout, drywall, paint and new kitchen I made it my own. It was professionally decorated to give it a cozy, charming lake house feel with elegance and warmth. We hope you enjoy the home as much as we do.
This home has a unique lot that allows you to see water for as far as the eyes can see. It is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood where you can bike to nearby restaurants and live music.
You will have all the amenaties of your own home plus the tranquil beauty of Lake Winnebago. The lake is 30 miles by 10 miles and channels into many other lakes and rivers offering a large variety of recreational activities and dining experiences. The home is close to Appleton night life, 30 miles from Lambeau Field as well as 30 miles from Oshkosh offering EAA, Country USA and outlet shopping. The home is 90 miles from Milwaukee Brewers, 3 hours from Chicago.
