The place was spectacular and was much bigger than we needed and very clean! Easy access once we picked up our packet from the office! Just a short walk to the beach or pool! Parking wasnât the greatest but not your fault!
My stay at the Beachwalk Villa was very nice. The villa was, indeed, close to the beach - an easy walk or bike ride. And, if you were hauling a lot of things to the beach, the pass into Shipyard gave Beach Parking Access.
The villa was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The surrounding property was well maintained. The pool, though not "heated" was bearable in mid-April. Depending on what you are looking for in a vacation, the Beachwalk Villa is a perfect location for visiting the great Hilton Head beaches and also for striking out for meals at various locations in the area (and on the island). I plan to return in the future!
A large, comfortable condo. Very large living room and bedroom with two nice-sized bathrooms. Newly renovated kitchen, new furniture in living room.
Paved walk to the ever-gorgeous Hilton Head Island beach. Pool is on the way to the beach. Since itâs not heated we werenât up to swimming laps in March.
Management is very approachable and helpful.
Very close to the beach. Clean and updated for a rental, however a few things could be fixed. Several months ago there were comments about a broken chair leg in the dining room And unfortunately this chair still exists and is still broken. Be careful!
In addition this location is advertised as being for 4 people, however we have 2 children (ages 11 and 13) and were told the futon in the bedroom was for 2 people. This futon is only a single bed and could not fit my two small children. One of my daughters had to sleep on the sofa cushions which was not ideal. This house is not for 4 people. Overall, the house was nice.
The location of this villa is great. The living space is updated and the layout of the unit was good. We loved having two bathrooms. That being said it seems that whoever owns the unit doesn't check on it very often. There are many things that need to be dealt with in the area of upkeep. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets and drawers. There were no spoons for cooking. The cookie sheet was completely rusted out, and I had to buy another one. There were no containers to put leftovers in and no casserole dishes. The chairs bottoms in the dining area were dirty and one chair's leg bent in when sat in. This could actually be dangerous. The fan in the living area was rusted out and didn't work. The sliding glass door screen was broken. My husband actually fixed this. The wood on the outside steps and deck is rotting. I am from a family that actually has owned beach rentals in South Carolina and Florida, and it takes upkeep to keep places up. I have seen that other renters have expressed similar issues. Even thought as a retired school teacher,I could have a second job and consult on how to make places have better quality with little changes. Thanks for asking.
A day or so before we arrived I began to second guess my decision for the rental, but once we arrived I was so relieved and surprised by the spacious, clean and well maintained Villa. It was a very pleasant and peaceful setting that my kids and I enjoyed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a home away from home.
