Your cozy cottage in Aird of Sleat with 3 bedrooms. Located 4 miles south of Armadale Castle, in what is known as the 'garden of Skye'. Stunning ocean views with outdoor dining area and nearby beaches. All the comforts of home with Wi-Fi, Smart TV, fully-stocked kitchen, and hairdryer. All linens and towels provided. This charming traditional cottage is over 200 years old. The stairs are narrow, and the upstairs ceiling is low (5 and half feet). Feel free to reach out to us during your stay - we're happy to suggest local spots to check out.

This place is absolutely charming. Peaceful setting with great views. All amenities we could ask for. The only downside (if you can call it a downside) is the long single track (asphalt) road to the cottage. We had a wonderful time here!

Highly recommend staying at Aird House. Was such a wonderful stay. Very clean, we'll equiped and cosy. One of our best accommodations on our month long road trip. Loved the area also, just stunning and so peaceful.

Lovely little cottage in southern Skye, stunning views of the rugged coastline and sea and a thrill ride of a road for the last few miles. Ideal for relaxing and a good starting point for exploring the rest of the Island. Highly recommended if you are happy to self-cater, the cottage is fully equipped and extremely comfortable.

Very charming little cottage with great views of the sea and nearby islands. The views are best from the yard rather than through the windows but that is not surprising given that it is an authentic stone dwelling well over 200 years old. The owner has done a nice job of updating the property without without losing the essential character of the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this remote beautiful home on the coast of the Isle of Skye. In the early morning we walked to the local beach. It was just us, the sheep and amazing views everywhere we looked. Thank you Sara!

This cottage is remote. But the scenery is beautiful. Shore access is a short walk and easy to get to. The view of the water is not as open as I expected due to the nature of how low the house sits, but you can see it and it's nice to sit on the patio and relax or eat. The house itself is very functional, we are a family of five, and had no issues. The kitchen is small but functional. We cooked meals both mornings and nights we were there. Location is not central to the main sites, we knew that going in. The road leading to the house is 12 minutes off the main road in Aird making it about an hour and 15 minutes from Portree and 2 hours from Quiraing... but we loved feeling the raw landscape and being surrounded by sheep and sea. Grocery stores are close by if you are already headed to major sites. If you plan to take the ferry, book in advance. Sarah was easy to work with and accommodating to some last minute modifications we needed to make. If you are looking for remote and functional, this is a perfect place to be.

This was an amazing location. The house itself is old and charming. We had everything we needed for cooking and eating in; beds were comfy, heaters warmed the rooms well, and the hot water in the shower helped relax after a long day of hiking. Guests should note that the ceilings upstairs are low and the staircase is steep and narrow. There is a downstairs bedroom if that is an issue. We absolutely recommend this house and the area. Don't miss Cafe 1925 in nearby Ardvasar!

Our family arrived very late due to a road closure. It was not possible to see the signs telling us which house was the Aird House, so it took us another little bit to figure out which house it was. More lights or just outside photos on the listing and parking area could help here. To get to the 2 bedrooms upstairs you have to walk up a narrow steep staircase onto an equally narrow landing. The ceiling in the main bedroom was my height at 5’6”. We spent most of our time downstairs and there is a bedroom with 2 beds downstairs, so our kids slept there,The tiny kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make and serve a full breakfast and dinner each evening. They had food staples like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and places on the island to get food. We got eggs from a local box. The living room turned into a dining room twice a day. The table and chairs aren’t in the best shape, but it all felt very quaint. We made use of the washer with built in dryer & drying rack and got used to the switches.The house is situated about 15 minutes from the Armadale ferry down a narrow one track road in an idyllic setting. It is a perfect Skye getaway for anyone, like us, really wanting to stay in and cook and play games or just go out and wander in the natural beauty that mates Skye so special. It’s a 35 minute or so drive to Broadford and then onto any other destinations from there. We took picnics out with us for lunch and explored Skye during the day. We loved our stay!

The property was lovely and cosy, with plenty of facilities to use such as towels, kitchen equipment etc...The drive back to the cottage was very welcomed as it's not so busy compared to the other areas of Skye that were very busy with tourist traffic and the views from the area are incredible. Sarah sent very helpful instructions and information regarding the property and answered messages quickly. There is plenty of heating for the evening if the temperature drops and warms the cottage up very quickly. The stairs leading to the top bedrooms are quite steep for anyone who struggles with mobility. I didn't have the right adapter for the hairdryer so was unable to use. It was a lovely little getaway from the hussle and bussle of modern life.

Gemütliches kleines altes Häuschen. Sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt, auch wenn man in der obersten Etage den Kopf einziehen musste, aber genau das machten den Charme aus. Es liegt sehr ruhig, sehr sauber und schöne Aussicht. Kommunikation war super. Nochmals vielen Dank. Würden wir auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen, falls wir nochmals zur Isle of skye fahren würden. Können wir nur empfehlen.
