à propos de cet hébergement
Rustic 1800s' Log Cabin with Modern Amenities on an Old Farm close to Owensboro
Step back in time at this 1800s log cabin on historic DeLacey Farm.
Surrounded by barns, wildlife, and wide-open fields, this rustic getaway sits on a nearly 100-year-old working farmâjust minutes from Owensboroâs BBQ, bourbon, and small-town charm.
Relax on the back deck with views of the original farm buildings, or head into town to explore the Green River Distillery and local eats. Itâs the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and convenient access to everything Owensboro has to offer.
1850 Built Early settler's cabin with Modern addition comforts!
Perched on a quiet hilltop, this rustic cabin offers sweeping views of the surrounding farm, including a century-old smokehouse, tobacco barn, stock barn, and rolling fields. Take a moment to relax on the front porch, shaded by a majestic 100-year-old Osage Orange treeâitâs the perfect spot to sit a spell and soak in the charm of the countryside.
Step through the front door into the Parentsâ Room, which also serves as the family gathering space. It features a cozy king bed, two chairs, a comfy couch, and a smart TV. Just to your left, youâll notice the door to a narrow, steep staircase leading up to the loftâhome to a queen bed, a double bed, and another smart TV, perfect for kids or the young at heart.
Just off the Family/Parents' Room, a few steps down through an open doorway, you'll enter the 1970's additionâan open kitchen and dining space with a brand-new stove and oven (2025). The bathroom and laundry room are also on this level, making it a practical and welcoming part of the cabin
Out back, youâll find a beautiful new deck (2021) featuring a shiny stainless steel gas grill and a cozy gas fire pitâboth added in 2025âalongside an antique iron dining set full of charm. Itâs the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the Stock Barn and farm fields to the east, or to enjoy shaded afternoon and evening meals with a view.
The main and lower levels of the cabin stay cozy with central heat and air. The loft has a window A/C unit that does a good job keeping things comfortable, but it can run a bit warmer up there on hot summer days over 85 degrees.
You have access to the entire house except the mechanical room/closet. There are 4 other buildings on the property, an old smokehouse used to cure meat, a tobacco barn used to hang and cure tobacco, a stable that kept the farm's horses and mules, and an old chicken coop/storage barn. You are welcome to admire all of these from the outside of them. For your safety, please do not try to venture inside any of these old buildings.
