Toute l'année Lake Shafer Home, 3 chambres (king, full, twin) 3 salles de bains. Maison au bord du lac à quelques pas de l'eau. Façade du lac de 120 'avec rampe de mise à l'eau. Pont avant du lac. Belle cour au lac avec foyer (bois de chauffage fourni), haut-parleurs extérieurs, table de pique-nique, chaises d'extérieur, digue en ciment / promenade latérale, jetée flottante avec échelle. Films en plein air disponibles (très cool - films en plein air à côté du foyer un soir d'été). Grande cuisine avec tous les éléments de base (lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes) plus rôtissoire à dinde de 18 pintes, grande mijoteuse, Oster Kitchen Center (mélangeur / mélangeur / râpe). Surface de cuisson Jenn Air avec option plaque chauffante / gril en fonte. Cafetières Keurig et standard. Plus une deuxième petite cuisine dans une pièce au bord du lac, très mignonne. Deux réfrigérateurs. Plusieurs tables et chaises pliantes. Cinéma maison avec projecteur monté au plafond et son surround. Créateur de pop-corn, améliorez votre expérience cinématographique avec un pop-corn au goût délicieux, comme au cinéma. Le cinéma maison dispose de trois canapés qui se déplieront avec de nombreuses options différentes. Trois téléviseurs, tous avec lecteur DVD. Deux chaînes stéréo, changeur de CD, haut-parleurs situés dans toute la maison. Internet sans fil, salle de théâtre a accès à Internet pour Netflix, You Tube etc ... Climatisation centrale qui se refroidit très bien, ventilateurs de plafond dans la plupart des pièces, chauffage disponible. Plusieurs canapés, la plupart se plient en lits, ainsi que des lits pliants, des matelas pneumatiques, d'autres options de couchage. Beaucoup de serviettes, couvertures, oreillers etc ... Barbecue à gaz avec brûleur latéral et grand assortiment d'ustensiles. Machine à laver et sèche-linge. Natation, pêche, canotage. Si vous avez un bateau, j'ai une excellente configuration pour vous, lancez votre bateau ici sur la rampe de bateau en ciment, ascenseur à bateau disponible qui conviendra à la plupart des bateaux. Nombreuses places de parking.

Great property

This property was simply amazing… great location, easy to find, and very accurate to the pics if not better! We went with a family of 10 and had everything we could possibly need! Grill, tons of beds and linens, plenty of bathrooms and kitchen supplies! We fished. Had a fire. And just hung out! Used the projector to watch the Kentucky Derby! Was very pleased with our stay and would love to come back when it’s warmer!

Great Lake House!

This was our third year here and we already have next year booked! Everyone loves it! Everything you could possibly need and more, super close to Indiana Beach and the boat ramp and lift are a wonderful perk!

Another great stay!

This is our second time at this home. Our kids love the lake and had a great time. The owner is very communicative and helpful. The outdoor theater and bonfires are the best.

Family gathering

The kitchen is small but extremely well stocked. The house is very clean but dated. Air conditioning and ceiling fans worked well. Very quiet neighborhood. Excellent internet service.

4th of July to remember

We had the best time! The house has everything you could possibly need. We had family and friends come by during our week long stay! It was the best! We didn’t utilize the outside theater but next time we will! The house was clean and well stocked. Being right on the lake and having access to a boat dock was perfect! We spent our days and most of the evening boating. If we could give more then 5 stars we would!

Don't think I could find something to nit pick or complain about even if I tried.

Used to come to this area on vacation during summer breaks with my family when i was a kid. This was one of my favorite stays ever. If Mike would have us back again in the future, we'll definitely be back. We all loved everything about this stay. Thank you!

Favorite getaway!

Our BFFs three night stay was great! The three of us have decided that this three bedroom, three bath room lake house is our ideal gathering place. It is always well stocked, clean, cozy, and centrally located between the three of us. Mike is a great host, and we will be returning again next Fall.

Shafer Lakehouse

Enjoyable relaxing getaway. The house had everything we needed for our 3 day 4 night stay. We definitely overpacked. We had 12 of us and had plenty of room for everyone. Our host, Mike was readily available for all of our questions. This was a much needed and wonderful family getaway.

Family vacation

The house had lots of places to sleep. One bathroom super small another bathroom was a little bigger than the 3rd bathroom was much better. The kitchen very small and everything out dated. The whole house really needs an update. When we first got there the house smelled like cat pee but that did go away. The outside had lots of room for everyone. Wonderful views and great dock to jump off and dock a boat. Fire pit was great. Overall it was great. Lots of books and board games and plenty of Towles.

Favorite spot!

This property is exactly as advertised. We have stayed here twice now. The dock is a great spot to swim and fish. The kids loved the outdoor projector. We love that Mike supplies firewood. A lot less to pack and pay for. Plenty of sleeping for large parties. Mike is very friendly and accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay and will be back!

Enjoyable 3rd visit

Great location, lots of space, and friendly owner. The previous times we visited, a few household things were't working, but we had fun. This last visit, the carpet areas were dirty, bathroom floor in lake bedroom wasn't clean, and bedroom next to garage smelled of cigarette smoke. The love seat recliner is broken on the left side, and the king size bed caves in on the side next to the door. It's a great place, just needs some updated furniture and a deep cleaning.

Great family fun!

We brought way too much, not knowing what might be available on site. Everything we might have needed was there already! Fully equipped kitchen, linens, towels, compressor for inflatables, etc. Could have left half the truck at home and been fine. Vintagey lakehouse vibe combined with modern conveniences; very fun. Easy drive to Indiana Beach and groceries makes lazy days lounging in the water off the dock and watching the kids swim, simple. All round good experience for everyone. Already planning next year!

Family Lake Vacation with Boating/Skiing

This property worked well with our family group of 10. We had 5 adults; 4 teens and 1 10-year-old. 3 bedrooms for the adults; the media room with flexible futons for the teen girls; and another room with futons for the 2 guys (1 teen and 1 10-yr-old). We set up a folding table in the open kitchen for more dining space. The 3 bathrooms were great with plenty of towels for daily showers and plenty of hot water! Outdoor space was great with 2 docks, boat ramp, fire pit and much more. My husband's grandparents had a cottage on Lake Shafer when he was growing up and this place helped us create the same kind of memory-making opportunity in 2024 that my hubby had when he was a kid. We spent 1 day at Indiana Beach Amusement Park and would highly recommend! The host was very attentive and was quick to respond to questions. It was a great stay... and we would seriously consider a return visit!

Great, hospitable, family lake house.

The perfect lake stay. The boat ramp and boat lift on site made for a super easy boating experience. The house is decorated in a relaxed style which is very user friendly. You can tell the owners have enjoyed their many years here and want you to sample their place. Dock for the kids to swim off of and also fish. The river is very clean and you can even see down into it three or four feet. I can not say enough about Indiana Beach's amusement park. It's like a step back in time to the old school parks. You can even take your boat from the property down to the park and dock there. I wanted to schedule next summers stay but they were pretty much all booked up. We will be staying here summer 2025. Host is GREAT but the property needs help

The host was wonderful, very communicative and willing to help when needed. And the property itself has a lot of great amenities but really needs a DEEP cleaning and better maintenence. We knew going into it that the house wasn't up to date with the latest fixtures and decor, that wasn't a problem. But we were expecting it to at least be clean and everything to be in working order. The oven wouldn't get up to temp, the ice/water dispenser in the fridge didn't work half the time and when you open the freezer, ice chips would rain out all over the kitchen floor, the outdoor gas grill didn't work well (but host did come over and fix it so that was nice), the indoor theater didn't work at first (but host did also come fix this), and one of the reclining couches was broken. Regarding cleanliness, there was a ton of icky crums in between the cusions of the seats in the theater room that one of our toddlers discovered, the bottom outside of refrigerator looked like it was growing fuzzy mold, and there's a bad ant problem, not to mention dust and cobwebs throughout. That all said, the bedding and towels were all clean and fresh and the bathrooms were clean as well. It's like all the basic cleaning is tended to but very much lacks regular deep cleaning. Nothing was so bad that we had to leave and we did enjoy our time but it was disappointing. I feel a little bad saying all this because the host really was very nice but it's just my honest review and I have to say we won't be back.

I've been coming to this property for over 50 years, my Aunt bought this place in 1965, I purchased it in 2013. I love being close to the lake, many memories made here, enjoy hosting others as additional memories are made. Very nice design, two homes right on the lake front with a nice yard and seawall secluded between the two. This place was designed for summer fun. I stay in the smaller home and I'm here most of the summer. I have a couple of my own gatherings here each year, this place is setup perfectly for family get togethers, lots of fun activities or just get comfortable and relax.

Note that I also manage another vacation rental property. This additional property is also listed on VRBO, #796263. I encourage you to take a look at the listing, note that this luxury home is located within a half mile of Indiana Beach. Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property seems ideal for family vacations (reunions, holidays), group getaway, golf groups, sports events, fishing trip (note boat launch mentioned below), lots of possibilities. This lake home started out as one good sized cottage with a small cottage located on the lakefront. Has had many updates over the years including attaching two cottages into one unit. The lakefront bedroom can serve as an isolated unit, has kitchen, bathroom and door.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There is a cement boat ramp on this property, very convenient for launching a boat. Large 8' x 16' floating pier with 120' cement sea wall. Indoor and Outdoor Movies, Indoor theatre with ceiling mounted projector, 6 foot pull down projection screen very nice surround sound system and three sofas. Outdoor theatre is very popular this year, very cool experience sitting around the fire pit watching movies. Outdoor movies does require good weather conditions and projector set up, 100 inch by 160 inch projection screen is up all season. Both projectors can connect to the internet for NetFlix etc... and will play DVDs as well. You might want to consider bringing your laptop or tablet which can in most cases be readily input into the projector. Also note very nice speaker set up in the lake yard for the outdoor movies or just listening to music. Four outdoor speakers surrounding the firepit provide a very unique listening experience. Set up in a manner that allows audio input from your phone, ipod or computer. For music I typically pull up Spotify from my phone or laptop computer, IPod works well too. Popcorn maker, makes great movie style popcorn. Firewood included, I keep a good supply of firewood on hand. I know what a hassle it is to find firewood while on vacation, Some folks bring their own which is always appreciated but don't worry I will always have plenty of firewood. Note that this is a year round rental with reduced rates during the off season. Scenic here all year long, after all you are located right on the water. Works well for holiday gatherings (lots of cooking equipment), sporting events (theatre room), winter getaway, etc...
