We stayed at this property over Easter weekend and found the home to be generally consistent with the listing in terms of layout and location.The host had noted a minor cosmetic ceiling issue prior to our arrival, which did not initially appear concerning. However, during the course of our stay, this developed into an active ceiling leak in the main living area that progressively worsened, resulting in water intrusion. This impacted key portions of the space, including the couch and carpet, and limited our ability to fully use the primary living area. We documented the issue with photos and promptly shared them with the host.We did not receive a timely or substantive response while the issue was occurring.Following the stay, the matter was reviewed and a partial refund was provided based on the documented conditions.While the property has strong underlying attributes, our experience was materially affected by the maintenance issue and the lack of responsiveness at the time it arose. Prospective guests may wish to confirm property readiness and communication expectations in advance.

Great location and a beautiful home with appreciated amenities. However, the listing failed to mention that no bedding, towels, or even basic supplies like toilet paper were provided. These details were only disclosed in the check-in sheet sent less than 48 hours before arrival. This timing didn’t allow us to replan, as we had already booked flights months in advance and were past the reimbursement window. We had to shop for these items late at night just to make the stay possible. When we shared our concerns, the hosts were dismissive and denied a small reimbursement request. It seems the hosts may be new to hosting, as there was a clear lack of transparency and accountability. I hope the listing is updated and that they continue to improve for future guests.

To be clear, the details regarding linens, towels, and starter supplies were included in the listing and reinforced in the comprehensive check-in document we provided. These materials were shared well in advance and have never been a point of confusion for our other summer guests. We understand travel plans can be tight, but it’s each guest’s responsibility to review the listing before booking. We were more than accommodating throughout your stay, and we stand by our decision not to issue a refund for a situation that resulted from not reading the provided information. We’re not new to hosting—we’re just committed to clarity, consistency, and a great experience for those who engage with the process.
