Excellent stay with family and friends. Could not hold the host’s communication in greater esteem. Our dogs had more fun than we did! Location was lovely to both hiking and Raleigh. We hope to gather there again.

Absolutely amazing host, house, and experience! Irene was very communicative, the house was clean, easy to get to, and they have literally everything you could ever want or need for your stay!

Our daughter was getting married at Wakefield Barn about 10 mins from this house. The bridal party stayed here the night before the wedding and said it was an amazing time and they were able to relax and get a good night sleep. The absolutely loved the coffee bar which was fully stocked! Then, the night after the wedding my husband and I and my family stayed here so we did not have to drive home so late at night after a very exhausting day. It was super convenient and a huge blessing to be so close to the wedding venue. Highly recommend this home!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house and property are so cozy and relaxing. We have loved that everything was eco friendly and dog friendly. We had a meal with family over the weekend and they even commented that it was a really great place and would be a fun place to come back to for get together in the future. Thank you for being so thoughtful in leaving items that made it so easy for our long weekend. We will definitely return. We enjoyed just walking around the property and as you can see my beagle and grand pup made themselves at home and were tired out from the exploring. I took pictures for family to see for future trips. So much to do here and in town. It was great.

The house exceeded expectations! Was very clean, comfortable beds, fresh eggs each morning were delightful! The location was so nice, convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. I highly recommend this property and the gracious owners that host it!

We had a fantastic trip. The owner is so thoughtful and put so much detail and care into the property and thought of everything but you could possibly need or want in a vacation rental. We will definitely be back again. It was truly egg-cellent!

The hosts were absolutely wonderful. We held our wedding here yesterday, and they did everything they could to make it as special as possible. Our big day was entirely perfect and the home, yard, amenities, and our lovely hosts made it possible! It is a gorgeous place to stay (or get married!) run by amazing, accommodating hosts.

We stayed there for my nephew's wedding and had a great time. The property was amazing and every little detail thought of that you may possibly need while staying there. We enjoyed the hot tub and had smores by the fire pit. Enjoyed fresh eggs in the morning from the chickens and fresh brewed coffee, which were delicious. Host was very attentive and replied to any questions I had. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Plan on trying to go back at some point to be able to spend more time in the area and enjoy the attractions.

Beautiful Property / Great Location

This property was beautiful and tranquil. It was centrally located and had easy access to stores and major roads. Inside the home was well beautifully decorated and well appointed. All the amenities we need for a weeks stay was available in the house. I enjoyed the coffee bar. My kids really enjoyed taking care of the chickens and checking for eggs daily. Our host was very responsive and provided timely communications. This made for a memorable visit and exceeded our expectations. We plan on returning for another stay early next year.

The host was fantastic. Very responsive during the reservation process and during our stay. The home is EXTREMELY clean and there are instructions and guides to help you in the home. The home is on a dead end street. So think quiet and relaxing. The house has a gym, incredible coffee and espresso maker, slushee maker and foot massager. The kitchen is better stocked with kitchen cooking ware and tools than my home. We made omelettes with the fresh chicken eggs! Much better than the Quality Inn free breakfast. We did not use the hottub or outdoor fire out, but the set up was nice and all looked in good condition. We just did not have enough time.And the chickens are a joy. We had fun just watching them run around in their coop. I highly recommend the Homestead. You won’t be let down.

Five Stars for Hudson Homestead

Our family’s stay at the Hudson Homestead exceeded all expectations! We booked a weekend getaway to celebrate our son’s 12th birthday and spend time at Fantasy Lake Adventure Park, and we couldn’t have picked a better home. The house was spotless, incredibly cozy, and charmingly decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The hosts even left a few surprises for us, which we truly appreciated - it made the experience feel that much more special.One of our favorite perks was the fresh eggs from the chickens each morning. Our dogs also had the best time running freely around the fenced in spacious backyard, which was perfect while we relaxed.After a full day of activity at the Adventure Park, relaxing in the hot tub under the warm glow of the outdoor lights was exactly what we needed. It was the perfect way to unwind and end the evening. My youngest even told us that this was his “favorite vacation house ever."We’re already hoping to make this an annual tradition, and if we do, there’s no doubt we’ll be staying at the Hudson Homestead again!

We had a wonderful stay at Hudson Homestead. The host was very communicative and truly thought of everything. The thoughtful touches throughout the home were above and beyond other properties we have stayed at. There are tons of games and activities available especially outside. The house was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The chickens were a lot of fun and the fresh eggs were delightful. While we only saw the train go by once it was really cool to see. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. We would highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again!
