We took our adult children for a weekend away to ride the AOAA trails. This was the perfect place. It was close to the trails and had everything we needed. Communication was great and we enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay for a Knoebels weekend! Enjoyed the fire pit and the dark sky viewing. Never did find the ping pong table but still had a great time
Great spot close to AOAA. Nicely fixed up farm house that accommodated our group perfectly. Hosts were quick and helpful to deal with. Will definitely be back at this property.
We went to aoaa to ride for the weekend. House was 5 minutes from park.. all in all very good weekend. House was clean it was older house had everything you needed besides food.. would definitely stay there again.. it was clean for what it was..
It's an ideal house for folks visiting Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. We rent 2 campsites and 2 homes every time we come up and this house is by far my favorite. The beds are plentiful, the baths are big, and the outside seating area is large. This was our 2nd year renting this home and it won't be our last.
Nice place to stay, plenty of room. We were able to stretch out and relax at night. It is an older house, the floors creak, the rooms are odd, but it has character. We stayed during the winter and it was warm inside. We would have liked to use the outdoor firepit and grill. The driveway is on a bit of a slope and there is an upper parking lot. We were able to manage the car trailers by leaving them at AOAA overnight. We would definitely rent here again.
From booking to check out Neil and Chris provided stellar communication. They were more than accommodating. The house was spotless, roomy, and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the living area was great. Fully functional kitchen with everything needed to cook great meals. Outside barbecue area and fire pit were an added bonus. The fact the the house was set up for people with mobility issues was so appreciated. AOAA was literally 2 minutes away and so many farm stands and wineries were pretty close. We could not have asked for a better stay and we would change nothing. Thank you so much Neil and Chris
The house has potential to be better. Its an older home with high ceilings, pocket doors and large rooms, however, theres some wall paper that was falling down that had mold behind it. We also had a snake that came down the steps for a visit while we were eating breakfast. The ladies of the house were not amused. Probably wont stay there again.
The house is an old Victorian home with some changes to make it a good VRBO home. Liked the big kitchen sink and strange handicap showers with no shower curtains. Furniture in living room and all the beds soft and comfortable. AC units and fans in most rooms made for comfortable sleeping. Dining room table large enough for our family of nine. Nice backyard and patio but furniture a little worn so we didnât hang out back. Front porch was great with its nice breeze.
House was a little dusty and cobwebby but nothing I havenât seen at my house.
We chose this home because close to our reunion destination at Montour Preserves, my sisters house in Danville, and the closest of all, Knoebels Amusement Park. Nearby Shamokin, believe it or not, has some nice restaurants to eat at!
We would return again.
Spent a Couple days Wheeling at AOAA. Stayed at The Victorian through Vrbo. Great rustic older house that met ALL our expectations. Had a great time Wheeling and came back to a very comfortable house to relax and rest for the next day of Off-Roading.
The house was adequateâŠ. It was big enough for some extended family and clean and comfortable BUT it was an old house that needs some attention here and there like weird showers, doors that donât shut properly and a steep uneven driveway. Itâs functional but not a fancy place.
Had a large group. House was perfect for the large group. House was clean and fully stocked w towels , linens and toiletries. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Great spot if you are riding at AOAA. Just a mile down the road.
Didn't get to actually stay at the place we booked. One of the owners had the place double booked so we were the odd man out. Not sure why WE had to move, but that's what they decided They did put us up in another one of their properties and booked us another property down the road. Wasn't thrilled with having to pack and unpack in the middle of our stay. Kinda ruined the whole day. They offered us a free stay to make up for it so hopefully that will go well. Overall wasn't great but wasn't terrible. The owners did the best they could with the hand they were dealt
Ample space indoors for cooking, sleeping and playing games. Great outdoor space as well for walking the dog, campfire, patio seating and front porch with your morning coffee. Such a nice experience.
We stayed for the weekend of our family reunion at Knoebels. The home was easy to find. We enjoyed the backyard space a lot. The bathrooms are ADA accessible, and the one suggestion I would make is to put a sturdy grab bar in the upstairs bathroom by the shower head. As a person with limited mobility, I was a little afraid of slipping. We will likely stay again.
Such a gorgeous home, spacious and well equipped with vintage charm. Hosts were so kind and accommodating. Our family had a wonderful time. We plan to make this an annual trip! Thank you so much.
We came to the area for a family reunion in Knoebels Grove. We usually stay in a hotel, but by booking the home, more family could come. (Hotels are $$$$)
My parents grew up nearby so site seeing and family was the goal. The outdoor fire pit was a huge hit and roasting hot dogs was a big hit.
The home was perfect and we hope to be back again next year!
